Quality Web Hosting Service

Quality Web Hosting Service

Launching a website is possible even if you do not have any web design skills. You should go over the following article for some useful tips on how to create your own website.

Cell Phone

Find a quality web hosting service that includes a site-building tool. The WordPress site-building tool is the easiest one to use for beginners but you should be able to quickly master the simple tools offered by your web hosting service. Make the site-building tool one of the most important criteria when choosing your web hosting solution. Talk to webmasters who built their sites thanks to these tools to get an idea of the kind of results you can expect. If you want to integrate some dynamic elements on your site, look for PHP scripts you can purchase or get for free.

Creating A Website

If you do not want to use a site-building tool, consider creating your own blog. Choose a blogging platform that gives you access to a wide selection of templates. WordPress and Blogspot are good options but there are many other platforms you can use. If possible, choose a blogging platform your readers are likely to use so you can easily connect with them. Take the time to personalize the template you chose for your blog. The blogging platform name will appear in your URL but you can easily hide it by purchasing a domain name for your blog. >

Consider learning HTML and other languages. You should be able to learn enough about HTML to create a quality website in six months. Use a site-building tool or a blogging platform to launch your website and develop your online presence while you learn HTML. There are several free resources you can find online, such as tutorials and e-books. If you do not get good results with these resources, consider signing up for a class at your local community college. Once you are comfortable with HTML, learn CSS so you can create better designs.

Flexibility

Hiring a professional to design a website for you is another good option. Make sure you look at a portfolio of the designs they have created in the past. If possible, contact other webmasters they have worked for in the past to get some references. Learn more about their education and the languages they are proficient with. If you want a very simple website, do not hesitate to hire a young and inexperienced web designer who can offer some low prices. It is best to spend more and get a web designer with plenty of experience if you want a more complex website with dynamic elements. Agree on a price and a time frame right away and communicate with your web designer to give them as many details as possible about the design you want.

Hosting

Creating a quality website is possible even if you have very little experience with web design. It is however best to work on improving your web design skills so you can eventually design the website you have always dreamed of.

How Do I Create My Own Website For Free? I’m an aspiring author and I’d like to create a website where I can post some of my story’s synopsizes, but I can’t pay for anything seeing I don’t have a source of income. How do I create my own website for free? Are there any websites I can go to?

Well, based on my knowledge of website creating, you can use useful website kits if you’re a starter, such as wix.com, yola.com, etc.

But, if you want to make it from complete scratch, then I would suggest learning the main coding of a website that is very popular first, HTML, css, and Java script, eventually, you’ll be able to make basic templates and add your own pictures and links. There are hundreds of other coding languages out there too, but I estimate you’ll only necessarily need about 10 of them to make a full blown website, that will astonish your friends.

I’d recommend taking classes for coding websites and such, if this advice above didn’t help much. ?

Extra Info: Make sure you have the pictures you’d want to provide, start on the smallest. The logo, the top bar, etc. Coding can only make lines and very basic templates, but they can’t draw for you.

Thanks for reading, have fun creating your own website!

I created the “Non Technical Guide to Web Design”. See Below for a copy.

One thing is clear, by the year 2010, everyone on the planet will own an iPod, Netbook and have their own WebSite. Many people would lead you to believe that creating a web page should is difficult and should only be done by trained professionals. Granted if you are in need of an e-commerce site, you should go with a professional. Creating your own personal WebSite is quite easy and fun.

Ok, so I managed to sell you on creating a personal WebSite (I hope that is why you are still reading this at least), but how do you get started. Do you need to grab your lucky rabbits foot, sing a chant or do a rain dance? The Answer is NO! In fact designing a website can be done in 6 simple (non technical) steps.

      Step 1 : Plan
Before you design a website, you should consider the following question – What is the purpose of your site and out of the billions of other sites, why would visitors visit yours?

      Step 2 : Choose a name
This is the step where you choose your domain name, This could be a sub-domain (somedomain.yourhost.com) or a Top Level Domain or TLD (yourdomain.com). You should choose a name that is short, catchy and matches your site’s purpose. Top Level Domains cost on average of $10.00 per year while Sub-Domains are often free.

      Step 3 : Choose a host
There are thousands of web hosts out there. You need to decide if you are going to use one of the free hosts or a fully paid web host. While free hosts are often the best option for those who want to create their first personal WebSites, they have some serious drawbacks. Free Web Hosts often limit their users ability to run Server Side Scripts (CGI/PHP) and/or place ads on the users site.

Paid Hosts allow Server Side Scripting, personal e-mail addresses, databases and most of them even give you a free Top Level Domain with a yearly purchase. This is definitely the option to choose if you are going to make a larger site that may become popular. You can check out http://Host-Wiki.com for a list of a few paid hosts.

      Step 4 : Blue-Print
Now is the time to start designing, on paper of course. If you are using a pre-designed site template or CMS, this should be easy for you. You should start by drawing a map of your page structure and what each of the main portions of your site should contain. If you are using a CMS, you should take the time and install the CMS to see how it works from the backend, This should help your Blue-Print. Remember you are not adding online content just yet. Also remember to keep your site design simple to navigate and easy on the eye, Yellow text on a hot pink background is NOT a good idea.

Step 5 : Commit Your Site
We are finally on the step where we create and launch the web site!!! Now is when you combine all of the steps that you have done above to put together your first site. Please remember, sites should contain a lot of text, search engines LOVE this. Generally for this step, you will need an FTP Client (such as FileZilla) or you will use your Web Hosts control panel. If you are designing your site from scratch, without using a CMS, you will need to learn HTML (or even better PHP). You will also want to start passing on links to your site at the end of this.

Step 6 : Maintain Your Site
This is the step that is often missed on most sites. What is the point of reading a news paper that is 3 years old. WebSites should be Dynamic and current. You should remove old content from your site, or move it to an archive page. By constantly adding new content, you give your users a reason to come back on a regular basis. At K-Disk.com we have recently adopted a new policy, We will add at least 1-3 new pages to our site every week and we will move all outdated pages to our archive page.

We hope you find this non technical write up useful and we also hope that it helps you create your own sites. Good Luck future web masters of the world!!!

How Can I Create My Own Website?

    View Comment
    1. Reply

There are so many ways that you can create your own website. You can use other sites like dreamweaver.com to create one, or a blogging website like blogspot.com or tumblr.com to create a blog. Or you can go more in-depth, and create a website of your own right from scratch, using HTML codes. There are many, many tutorials on youtube.com and just over the internet in general that can show you how to do that, or if you take a ICT or Digital Tech classes in school like me, you can suggest website creating to your teacher.
Other websites that create a website for you is proboards.com and webs.com.
Good luck with creating your website!

How Do I Create My Own Website? I want to create a website that is about leopard geckos. I want to be able to put pics of them and sell them on their. So how do I go about doing so. Does it cost or is it free. Thank you so much

You can create your own website from many free webhosting sites (such as geocities.com and webs.com). You don’t control the domain name at those sites (for instance, it’s usually username.webs.com or geocities.com/username; where “username” is either your username or some word defined by you). If you want your own domain name (like leopard-geckos.com) then you would have to pay for that using a service like godaddy.com.

To create the website, you would either need to use a website creation tool (like Microsoft Expression), learn HTML/CSS or a language of that nature, or use the tools provided by geocities/webs.com or some other website.

I’ve used both geocities.com and webs.com and find that webs.com is easier (and looks better). They are both ad supported, though, which is how they keep them free. They also have premium versions where you pay to keep the ads off your site.

      Hope that helps.

Creating your own website is really easy these days!

If you really want to start basic I would suggest something like http://www.freewebs.com

But the only way you are going to get a top level domain (such as http://www.yournamehere.com instead of http://www.freewebs.com/yournamehere) is to pay for one.

If your interested in paying for one I would suggest http://www.hostmonster.com low price and great hosting! It comes with a top level domain too.

If you interested in writing your own website you will need to learn HTML. HTML is a computer code that browsers interpret to show viewers what you see right now! http://www.w3schools.com will help you there.

You can even get software like Serifs WebPlus and other program that are very user friendly in making websites!

      Good luck

I Want To Create My Own Website For My Portfolio? Where is the best free web hosting or online website builder? I want to be able to create pages that showcase my artwork, specifically for 365 days of photos. I would love if there was an option for people to leave comments for each individual photo as well… I have dreamweaver, so I could use that, but I’ve never used it before, so I’m not sure what the best free web hosting sites are to correspond with it. (I tried awardspace, but couldn’t get the FTP to connect) So anyway, anyone have any experience with creating their own portfolio websites? (or just websites in general)
    Thanks ?

You can create it your self with dreamweaver then use http://www.000webhost.com/316543.html to host the site, and if you want go here http://www.freedomain.co.nr to get your on domain for free as well.

Or what you can do is use webs.com they have a website builder which is quite easy to use and it is free but is somewhat unreliable. with the webs site you can still use the freedomain address to get a domain name.

      the freatures of 000webhost.com are:

*** 1500 MB of disk space
*** 100 GB of data transfer
*** PHP and MySQL support with no restrictions
      *** cPanel control panel
      *** Website Builder
      *** Absolutely no advertising!

      hope this helps

If you want create website with you own creativity, so you can learn web design courses from online/class room. Otherwise you need to contact any web hosting agent/person.
For online learning web design courses w3schools.com helpful. If you learning online course you know the web design courses HTML, CSS, Java Script…etc. For creating web site first domain name registration and purchase the space in server from any web hosting service.

First you will need a host (there are loads of free website hosts, many offer site templates or site builder tools).

Second you will need some software to edit or build your site from scratch. Microsoft Word even creates web pages (although the coding is very bad, but for your first site, don’t let that bother you).

You can get free html editing software which have WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) work views which make it easy for a novice to create a page. There’s a list of some software here to get you started:
      http://webdesign.about.com/od/htmleditors/tp/aatpfreewyswin.htm

While you’re desigining in WYSIWYG mode, keep switching over the html view to look at the markup (code). You’ll soon start to understand how html works, it’s very easy to pick up. The about.com site has good tutorials to help you learn html.

You’ll probably also need some kind of graphics program to edit your images for the web. If you put lots of pictures with large file sizes on your site, your visitors will soon get sick of waiting for your pages to load and just leave. Again there are plenty of free image editing programs you can find on google. There are even online image editors for resizing your pics.

      Good luck!
