Improving Your Business Through Social Media

Improving Your Business Through Social Media

by Deja Tweet

Business owners have discovered social media to be an effective way in spreading the word about their business. The very nature of social media fosters easy sharing of information by anyone with his social network. As a business owner, you have a great opportunity to interact directly with your customers and encourage them to spread the word about your products.

People see social media as a way to interact with a real person. When you establish a presence, avoid a lot of corporate speak. Present yourself as a real person, like someone talking to a friend. Use natural language in the first and second person. Your customers will be more drawn to the less corporate style.

When your customers make a comment or a post, be sure to read it and thank them for taking the time to post. It does not matter if their opinions differ from yours. If someone posts a dissatisfaction about your product, acknowledge your regret, and offer to contact him personally by email to resolve any problems that he had with the product. This is how you earn the trust and respect of your customers. When they see that you are taking personal responsibility for their satisfaction, they will tell others about your excellent customer service and your reputation will improve.

Be patient when you are building up your presence. It will take time for people to get to know you and spread the word about your brand. Just keep up with the interaction and be proactive in starting a conversation online.

People like getting incentives. Every now and then, create a promotion or a contest and announce it in social media. Make the prize worthwhile. Gift certificates always attract attention. This is one way to motivate people to share the news with their network.

Look for other opportunities for you to start a conversation. There are plenty of forums and online communities that are frequented by your target audience in which you can also participate. Peruse through the forum threads and see where you can share your expertise. When you make your first post, introduce yourself and be open about what you represent. Do not make your post sound like a sales pitch. If you are offering advice, do it in a way that addresses the question without emphasizing on what you are selling. Just include a link to your website at the signature line. People will make the connection. If they like the advice you gave, they will go to your website to find out more.

Be sure to maintain a tone of humbleness when you post in social media. Avoid a lot of hype. Customers will respect you and trust you more.

Be ready to change your strategy if the social media marketing scene changes. New platforms pop up all the time, so you have to be ready to jump on the bandwagon quickly to seize the opportunity. If you stay ahead of the game, you will reap benefits for your business.

If Google didn’t force everyone to have a G+ account, no one would use it.
Doesn’t that actually break anti trust laws or something like that? Forcing
people to use a certain product in order to continue using something else?

Errr. I’m kinda speechless. I’m not sure what I can share that is not a spoiler. This entire 5th book is one action packed spoiler.

You remember how JA Huss took you up a mountain during Status? And then as you bounced around all excited that you and JA were hanging out like best friendsies on a hike together, she shoved your ass over the side of a cliff? Profile is one big tumble down the side of that mountain.

It’s hard to tell if everything is going to work out okay while you’re in freefall, but JA does meet you at the bottom with a granola bar and a bottle of water to sustain you until Home.

The 6th & final book, HOME releases 11/5/14.

If you thought that Status was intense, you really have no idea! Warning to readers: When starting Profile make sure you have at least a solid hour of uninterrupted reading time. Once you start this, your heart will race and you'll be on the edge of your seat just to see what happens next! You have to read it in one sitting- there really is no other way!

If you've only read Follow in the Social Media series, you have no idea... just no clue how these books have evolved, how different they've become and how much growth both characters have shown. JA Huss is one of those authors that writes the unexpected, the unpredictable and the most original stories. This series has taken such turns and ended up in a place that I can honestly say I never saw coming... And isn't that the most awesome feeling as a reader? Not knowing whats coming next or what way a story is going to go? It is for me!

Grace is in a bad place, but let me tell you something about Grace. She is a FIGHTER. She is a SURVIVOR. Grace doesn't give up, she is the definition of a kick ask heroine.

Then there's Vaughn. Vaughn is distraught and trying to keep it together the best he can. I loved Vaughn from the first book- #dick and all, but the way Vaughn is now... I just adore him. He is turned into this flawed yet perfect PRINCE. He truly is a HERO. I think he's been this way all along, he just needed the right person to bring it out in him. Someone like Grace.

Profile is for sure the most action packed installment yet. There are also a lot of revelations. But not everything. Just when you think you've figured it all out, that the secrets are out in the open, you find out just how wrong you are. It seems our Vaughn is hiding a little something himself... I can't wait for the final book to see what it is and to see how JA ends this brilliant series!

Seriously Addicting Series, October 22, 2014

After THAT ending of Status, yeah that one, I was dying to read Profile.

    It. Did. Not. Disappoint.

It was biting your nails, heart-in-your-throat suspenseful. J.A. is amazing at creating suspense in her stories. Once the ARC showed up on my kindle, I literally dove in and did not stop until the last page.

Vaughn and Grace have come so far in this series. I loved how strong Grace is and how Vaughn has evolved from being a total #dick to being exactly what Grace needs. He’s still Vaughn but … different. If you told me in Follow that he could be the way he is now, or that we’d see him that way, I’d have laughed.

I cannot wait to see how this series is going to end. I’m sad that it’s going to be over but I know the ending is going to be epic. J.A. Huss never disappoints.
