Every website owner wants his website to rank at the top of search results. The websites near the top typically gets the most traffic. To a web business, the more traffic it can attract, the higher the profit potential. Getting a high position in rank depends a lot on how your website is optimized. There are techniques that are effective, and techniques that should not be tried. If you want more information on SEO so you can start improving your website’s rank, review the information in this article.

Engines

It is common knowledge to most people that search engine optimization is all about how keywords are used in the website’s content. As a site owner, you first should identify what words are the most relevant to your line of business. These will words that you think people will type into a search engine when they are searching for information relating to your business. When you make your list of words that come to mind, try to rank them in the order of relevance to you. >

The most relevant keywords should have a very visible position in your content. Paragraph headings coded in the H1 or H2 HTML tag would be appropriate places for your better keywords. Each one of your web pages has a title and description meta tag in the the code. You should use your more relevant keywords in those areas as well. In addition, the title and description tag information are used to form your site entry in search engine results. These few lines will be what web users see when they browse through search results and decide which ones to click on.

Optimizing

For the rest of your content, you should use your keywords only if they are appropriate to use in context. Do not try to “stuff” your page with keywords if the idea or sentence structure does not make sense. Search engine crawlers are intelligent. They will detect that as keyword stuffing and will demote, and sometimes even delist, your website as a penalty for using a “black hat” technique to try to gain a better site rank.

Optimizing Website Search Engines

You content should be high in quality. Your web visitors will be reading this content for helpful information. It will not do you any good if your visitors land on your page, but only to find the content sub-par in quality. They will leave your website without hesitation.

Search

Non-text elements like images are not able to be indexed by search engines. However, you can help the search bots see them by adding keywords to the image tag’s ALT attribute. This is perfectly acceptable and a good way to make images more relevant from the perspective of search engines.

Search Engines

Search engine optimization is something that you have to keep up with in order to maximize its benefits. The Internet is dynamic. The site rank that you have today may not be the rank that you have next week. You have to refine your strategy constantly to maintain your position. SEO is necessary for as long as you run your website.

If searching using certain keywords fails, think of other relevant keywords. Rinse and repeat, especially considering the subject matter. Yuck is right.

Google custom search only returns results form a predefined (by whoever set that custom search up) set of web sites.

To change the search engine in the right hand search box see http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/search-bar-easily-choose-your-search-engine if you don’t have Google (or the right version of Google) you can add google.com by going here http://mycroft.mozdev.org/google-search-plugins.html and adding it, it should be at the top: (google.com) by Mycroft Project.

To change the search engine used when you search using the address bar see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/search-web-address-bar#w_changing-the-internet-keyword-service for Google it should be set to https://www.google.com/search?q=

This must have been caused by something, like some add-on or software you intentionally or accidentally installed or something you did yourself, so that might need to be fixed first, or it might be o.k.

Search Engine Optimization is a highly technical process, but for online merchants it’s also a critical business process. That’s why we take the time to learn about your goals, products, the competition, and your marketplace.

There are two key steps in our process:

      1-Keyword search and competitor analysis
      2-Site optimization

First Step is Keyword Search and Competitive Analysis

Review site structure and search engine rankings for your site and that of your competitors
This process helps define benchmarks for before- and after-SEO strategy.

Identify keywords that your customers are likely to enter in the search engine to find your products.

This research can yield keyword suggestions that can be one of the most beneficial aspects of SEO, with high returns on investment.

Keyword research consists of three primary activities:

      Discovery
      ROI analysis
      Competitive analysis

What Is Search Engine Optimization (seo) .?

    View Comment

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine’s “natural” or un-paid (“organic”) search results.[jargon] In general, the earlier (or higher ranked on the search results page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine’s users. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search, academic search,[1] news search and industry-specific vertical search engines.
As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work, what people search for, the actual search terms or keywords typed into search engines and which search engines are preferred by their targeted audience. Optimizing a website may involve editing its content, HTML and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines. Promoting a site to increase the number of backlinks, or inbound links, is another SEO tactic.

SEO stands for "search engine optimization." It is the process of getting traffic from the "free," "organic," "editorial" or "natural" listings on search engines. All major search engines such as Google, Yahoo and Bing have such results, where web pages and other content such as videos or local listings are shown and ranked based on what the search engine considers most relevant to users.

Can You Use Google Adword Keyword Tool For Keyword Research? Can you use Google Adword Keyword Tool for keyword research? how google keywords research tool helps relevant keyword.

Yes you can but the data you get will not help you much if you want to use it to find keywords that you can dominate the search engine.

in order to dominate the keywords you will need to find keywords has these three characters
-lots number of searchers a month
-less competitors ( mean there are less than 40,000 pages contain this keywords already listed by google)
-the strength of the current listed top 10 pages that are using this keywords

if you are a newbie then this may sound a bit complicated however i can help you here, there is a video tutorial about 7 minutes made by market samurai team it will show you how to find those targeted keywords, I have left the link below for your references

      hope this was helpful

Displaying All Google Search Results? Hi all.
I noticed that when you query Google on a subject for instance let’s use “strawberry cake” it displays on top search results ‘About 28,800,000 results (0.25 seconds)’.

When you start listing the search results at the bottom where you click ‘next’ it always stops eventually way before you actually are able to view everything that Google declared it has as results. In this case it stopped at page 80 but I can hardly believe that the total of all the websites displayed on those 80 pages of Google results contain together 28 800 000 found search terms stated previously.
It is the same for images. Let’s search images say for ‘castle’ (Google says: ‘About 1,110,000,000 results’) very fast it will run out and won’t permit you to continue and view more.

Is there a way to set preferences to show everything ?
P.S. I know you can refine your search, but say I want to search just for ‘castle’ and see everything.
This is very annoying and why is there this limitation ?

    Thank you.

When we search in Google, we get what we are looking for in the first 2 pages itself. Results from the page 5 to end will be hardly matching our requirements and they are not important. Then why should Google display all the 28,800,000 results?
The results are shown by relevance. The pages which have our search entry in the URL or title are displayed first. Then the remaining are categorized by the number of times that word is written on a page.
I didn’t find anyway to make Google show all the 28,800,000 results.

110mb In Google Search Results? I have a 110mb website. I want that to be listed in google search results.
Is there any way I can do it? Shall I have to add some meta tags or anything other?

I wonder that u have an established website but dont know its relation with search engines (Google in this case)
the size of the website has nothing to do with search engines.
Your website’s size(110mb) will be hosted in a server, who u will be paying, according to their rates.
After that, then do something what is called, SEO. Then your site will now be online. And b4 that, you have to go to the major search engines’ webmasters and see how u can add ur site to be listed in their search engines.
Having ur website listed is easy, BUT if done with careful procedures.
if done reckressly, it can be a major dissapointing.
Plz do a lot of researc to achieve ur goal.

PS. the above guy is tryng to sell u a scam by cheating u that there are online jobs in his site.
      Ignore it!

The search results may vary depending on server location and the incoming text links originating countries means your site might be getting more backlinks from the websites located in different countries.
