Search Engine Optimization – Who Can Help?

Search Engine Optimization - Who Can Help?

The article below is the latest addition to our site and it is a real education to read. We hope to sparks some ideas for you.

Do you Need Help With Search Engine Optimization?

Adwords

Search engine optimization can seem complex at first, but you can get great results if you take the time to familiarize yourself with SEO strategies. Keep reading if you want to learn more about SEO methods that work.

Engine

You should not assume that optimizing your site is something you need to do once. A good search engine optimization campaign should be kept up to date. Search engines often update the methods they use to index web pages. The SEO methods you use will eventually become obsolete but your SEO campaign will remain efficient if you update your strategies regularly. Subscribe to some newsletters or blogs on SEO to stay up to date with new techniques used to optimize sites.

Free Ones

Your site should be organized efficiently. Create some main pages for your important content and draw attention to these pages thanks to a detailed menu. You should also create some individual links to connect all your pages together. Optimize your links by using some strong keywords in the anchor text. If you add more pages to your website, make sure you incorporate them into this structure. >

Create some back-links to help visitors find your content. Your pages will rank higher in search results if you get more traffic. You should share links to your different pages by featuring your content on other sites. Create some videos for a YouTube channel, write articles for article directories and try getting other webmasters to feature your content on their site.

Google

Add keywords to your pages. You should select five keyword phrases that accurately describe the content of your site and correspond to the keywords your targeted visitors are likely to look up. Your keywords should be placed within HTML tags so they describe your content. Adding keywords to your articles and other texts is acceptable as long as you do not have a high keyword density. Update your keywords regularly if you need to.

Keywords Work

Think about SEO when designing your website. You should avoid using pictures for your background and your header since this could make your content hard to analyze. Search engine spiders cannot read Java Script and Flash elements unless you optimize them with strong keywords. You should try keeping your HTML pages as simple as possible, for instance by using a CSS sheet for your design.

Niche

Organic search engine optimization is an excellent way to rank higher in search results. Internet users will keep visiting your site and sharing your content if you create quality articles, pictures or videos. Focus on providing your audience with content that is interesting, original and helpful rather than making search engine optimization your top priority. You will get great results from organic search engine optimization if you are patient and do not rely entirely on this method.

Optimization

You should use these tips to develop your search engine optimization campaign. You should do more research on SEO and make sure you fully understand how a strategy works before implementing it to optimize your web pages.

Here are some shoestring marketing ideas that can help you get the visitors you need at the least cost possible:

      1. Create the best content you can with the best products you can possibly offer. Your content is your best advertisement – if visitors love your content, then they will go back and spread the word to others.

      2. Make it easy for users to recommend your site. Viral marketing is very important — and easy to tap on the Web. But give your users the tools. Get a Recommend this Site script from websites such as cgiscripts.com and similar directories of scripts. Some even go as far as giving incentives to those who recommend the site to their friends. If only 10 people go to your site, but these 10 people invite 10 more – that’s additional traffic that you get for FREE!

      3. Rank well in the search engines (organic search results, not the pay per click). SEs can be a big source of traffic. The key is to create the best content in your niche. If you have good content, other websites will gladly link to you and offer your site as a resource to their audience. Check the on-page factors and be sure to get linked from authority sites in your topic area.

If you are going to read only one piece on search engine optimization, I suggest you read Brett Tabke of WebmasterWorld.com’s “Successful Site in 12 Months with Google Alone: 26 steps to 15k a day.” http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum3/2010.htm

      4. Send out press releases. While outfits charge as much as $650 per release, there are free press release submission places on the Web. Press releases allow you to (a) attract media attention; (b) get more back links to your website without sending each website an email request; and (c) get more visibility especially if your press release gets in Google News or Yahoo News. My website (see my profile) accepts free press release submission (no strings attached!)

      5. Submit articles. Write articles and submit them to websites accepting author submissions. You get exposure for your business; establishes you as an authority in your field, and allows you to get backlinks for your website. If 50 websites publish your article and it contains a link back to your website, then you easily get 50 links from a single article. The more links you have, the greater your chances for increasing your search engine rankings.

      6. Improve your conversion. Getting visitors is one thing; getting them to buy your products is a whole different story. Read the article “10 Ways to Convert Visitors to Buyers” http://www.powerhomebiz.com/072005/conversion.htm for tips on how to improve your conversion rates.

Getting traffic is a combination of a lot of things. The key to success is to create great content that visitors want to use, search engines will love and other websites will naturally link to. Of course, it’s easier said than done.

Given that your site is a forum, one thing you need to know is that people don’t like going to a “dead” forum with no posts in it. Try to seed your forum by putting content on it — ask your friends to put their ads (some forum owners even create accounts for themselves just so the forum becomes lively at the start).

Then make sure that the dynamic content of your forum can be accessed by the search engines. Some forum are inaccessible to search engines and require installation of hacks to remedy the problem. This is critical if you want to be seen on the search engines

You can use pay per click advertising in the search engines to reach audiences looking for your products. You can use Google Adwords http://www.google.com/adwords or Yahoo http://searchmarketing.yahoo.com

Does Anyone Know How To Advertise A Personal Web Site With Little Or No Cost That Drives Quality Customers? I have operated a couple web sites for almost a year. Tried advertising in my local paper. Listing to free classified ads. Listed to major search engines. Also perform surfing sites to cause traffic to be sent to my sites. So far, I have only had a few sales. Does anyone have any ideas they can suggest at little or no cost to me? I am looking for quality potential customers rather than just more traffic. My sites are set up with huge discounts to attract sales. Please help. Thank you.

How Do I Hire A Good Search Marketing Agency? I need to hire an agency to manage my search marketing campaigns. What are the right questions to ask potential agencies so I know I’m making the right decision? What should I look for?

    View Comment
    1. Reply

Ask about their experience. A lot of companies may not be able to share specifics of their clients, but should give you a general idea of what their capabilities are. Let them know what you’re looking to achieve – ROI, ROAS, CPA and let them show you what they think would be the best strategy.

I also think it’s important that the agency has good relationships with the engines. They may be able to get things done faster and have more pull if there is already an existing relationship.

When you begin talking to agencies, let them do most of the talking. Ask questions if there’s anything you don’t understand. You don’t want an agency who is not willing to answer your questions. Also ask what services they offer – do they just do paid search or do they offer organic search optimization? Will they write copy for you? How often is reporting done – what kind of info will you find in the reports? What is the typical timeline for a campaign launch?

Slow and steady wins the race. You’d want to keep it real and build things up naturally.

You’ll want to do SEO properly and ethically so that you’ll get the best long term results.

Make sure you always ALWAYS deliver great content to your visitors. Please them first.

How they behave on your site plays more and more of an important role in determining how well you rank.

If the search engines see people clicking the ‘Back’ button almost immediately, then they take it as a sign your site is not great and your rankings get affected.

On the other hand, if people hang around your site, it gives you ‘brownie’ points in the eyes of the search engines and that will help you to rank better.

Of course, be sure to take care of basics like on-page SEO; have your keywords naturally fit into the meta tags and in the content of your article.

Then start getting some good and RELEVANT backlinks pointing back to your site. You can post genuine comments on blogs, participate actively in forums with a link in your signature etc. You can spend just 20 minutes a day for this.

Just be consistent and the magic will happen.

Forget software or services that promise thousands of links overnight. The search engines frown upon this and you’ll end up hurting your site.

Deliver great content >> please your human visitors >> rank better in the search engines >> attract even more people >> the cycle repeats.

That’s what will bring you sustained organic traffic.

      Hope this helps!

What Is A Search Engine? Search engine l ooking for business that assist the homeless with refurbished mobile homes if they have their own lot

      Hello,

      What is Search Engine ?

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via “natural” (“organic” or “algorithmic”) search results for targeted keywords. Usually, the earlier a site is presented in the search results or the higher it “ranks”, the more searchers will visit that site. SEO can also target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, and industry-specific vertical search engines.

As a marketing strategy for increasing a site’s relevance, SEO considers how search algorithms work and what people search for. SEO efforts may involve a site’s coding, presentation, and structure, as well as fixing problems that could prevent search engine indexing programs from fully spidering a site. Other, more noticeable efforts may include adding unique content to a site, ensuring that content is easily indexed by search engine robots, and making the site more appealing to users. Another class of techniques, known as black hat SEO or spamdexing, use methods such as link farms and keyword stuffing that tend to harm search engine user experience. Search engines look for sites that employ these techniques and may remove them from their indices.

      How search engines work ?

Search engines provide an interface to a group of items that enables users to specify criteria about an item of interest and have the engine find the matching items. The criteria are referred to as a search query. In the case of text search engines, the search query is typically expressed as a set of words that identify the desired concept that one or more documents may contain[1]. There are several styles of search query syntax that vary in strictness. It can also switch names within the search engines from previous sites. Whereas some text search engines require users to enter two or three words separated by white space, other search engines may enable users to specify entire documents, pictures, sounds, and various forms of natural language. Some search engines apply improvements to search queries to increase the likelihood of providing a quality set of items through a process known as query expansion.

      Thanks,
      Raom.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) techniques can either be organic or paid. Paid (PPC) can be useful in identifying the keywords you should target for your SEO campaign, however, many small companies cannot afford these types of PPC campaigns. Organic SEO involves optimizing on-site SEO by first identifying your target keywords and long-tail keywords. A long-tail keyword phrase is the best technique for small businesses because there is usually less competition for these keywords, and it is rare for someone to enter just one word into a search engine search bar. Examples of long-tail keywords are: “Organic butter from Lancaster PA”, or “Organic Pick your own berry farms in PA”, whereas regular keywords are “Organic butter”, “butter”, “Berries”.
You will want to target low to medium competition keywords with medium to high search volume. You can also try GEO-SEO which is using your geographic location to target customers, which might be useful for a small store trying to attract local customers.

Here is what you should target for SEO:

-Use your keywords that are relevant to each pages content in your title tags,

      tags, and meta-description tags.
-Make sure to use alt=”” attribute in your image html (search engine spiders can’t see your images, so help yourself by helping them and use the alt=”” attribute.
-The higher your content is on the page (above the fold), the more value it will impart.
-Link to other pages (deep pages) within your own website.
-Link to others in your industry (relevant)
-Make sure you have a call to action on any pages that you would want to place “contact us at”.
This is your big neon sign that screams “Get Yours Here!”

Off-site SEO involves building back-links to your website from other sites that have high authority, are popular, are a valuable resource in their industry (your industry).

I go into this in great detail on my website blog and I recently answered a question on back-links for Yahoo! if you would like to know more 8)

Internet Marketing, SEO – Search Engine Optimization What Questions Would You Have? Hello friends.

My name is Ivan from Toronto, Canada. I am a copywriter for a SEO company located in Montreal, Quebec.

Me and my colleagues have run into a little dilemma and I was wondering if you could assist us with your expertise.

We are a search engine optimization company, and are currently working of a FAQ section of our site and by our very nature tend to ask more technical, advanced questions and are afraid of overlooking the obvious. Since SEO is quite a niche practice, I was wondering if you could give us a hand and ask a couple of questions.

SEO ??? Search Engine Optimization, what would be the questions you would ask if you came across that phrase. For Example:

    – What is it?
    – Who does do?
    – and so on, anything that comes to your mind will be of great value to us.

We would greatly appreciate any questions on your part, no matter how small or big! Anything that can help us get that FAQ up there!
I will try to answer all of them. Thank you, hope to hear from you

SEO is probably the best investment you can make in your website, right after a good design. This is a well-known fact to all SEO’s. Here are 3 main reasons why:

1.) You will come up for the keywords that you are paying for with Adwords for free, and not having to pay each time someone clicks.

2.) You will get more clicks because you will never run out of money and more people click on the organic results than on Adwords.

3.) You will receive traffic from new places: blogs, forums, social networking websites, where a holistic SEO will ensure that you are fully present.

Below are 2 case studies of ours as well as a link to a leading SEO blog about this subject:

The overall goal of higher rankings in search engines’ results pages. Unfortunately, because the process is widely misunderstood, many companies claiming to offer SEO services are being gimmicky or misleading.

An SEO company can over-represent its offerings in many ways. The most prominent methods that I’ve come across: promising #1 rankings on keywords with little traffic and no competition, charging a one-time fee to clean up HTML with no guarantee of positive benefits, or charging $100 an hour for low-value link building and outsourcing it for $5 an hour.

It’s an industry where trust and proven results are highly important. There are a handful of companies who can successfully manage your website as well as relationships with owners of related sites to aid the organic growth of links to your site, but there are many companies who are essentially selling you snake oil.

It is important to remember that with any industry, there are those who have perfected their craft and those who get by just enough to make a buck. Search engine optimization itself is not a gimmick. With all the competition for search engine visibility, it is harder to obtain the search engine results you may want for your web site.

To remain visible in the search engine results pages, it is necessary to optimize your site.

That being said, there are a few things to keep in mind if you decide to hire a company for your web site’s search engine optimization:
      1. Visit their site. Do they appear credible? Are their client’s sites displayed as a reference?
      2. Do they outsource? As a general rule, most reliable companies have talented professionals that work in-house.
      3. Is their site optimized? Does it appear credible with appropriate ads, and related links?
      4. Do your homework. After consulting with a web professional about a possible search engine optimization proposal, go home and research what they have suggested for your company. Certain methods are much more credible than others. For example a company that recommends content optimization is much more reliable than a company that recommends link stuffing. Results with a credible company will be apparent, with good conversion and visibility in the search engine results pages.

      Thanks,
      Raom.
