Search Engine Spiders – SEO Strategies
How a search engines works:

– it has something called a “spider” that takes a look at a web page, particularly for links to other page. Then it puts the web page into a database, and follows the other links.

– it then does various stuff with the pages in the database so that they can be easily found.

– then it allows people to search the database through its own web page.

The above is very simplified. A good first place to start if you want to build a search engine would be to do a college degree in computer engineering.

Building a search engine is also very expensive, because you need a LOT of computers and hard drive space to store as many pages as websites like Google or Yahoo do. I heard somewhere that Google has several *million* computers in order to make it all work. When they started out, an investor gave them a few million dollars to get going.

I just wanted to add: if you just need a search engine for your own website, do a search for “php search engine” or “search engine script”. There are lots of simple small ones out there. They don’t “scale up” to work like Google though – they’re just for your website.

No.

All search engines trawl the web using spiders or robots to gather their info. Any webmaster can include on their site a list of places (on their site) where they don’t want the robot/spider to look. So a webmaster could ensure NONE of their site gets indexed by search engines.

Additiionally if web pages are created with some multimedia packages such as Flash, search engines aren’t able to index the contents of these.

I believe this is a bigger question than you realize. I can tell by the way you phrase your question that you’re pretty new to this search engine business.

I urge you to take the time to get very familiar with PPC before diving in. Otherwise, you are most guaranteed to waste a lot of money if you simply start running ads without knowing what you’re doing.

With SEO, the risks are different. You can get penalized by search engines at worst if you start optimizing and link building without some solid knowledge.

There is SO much information on the web about this stuff, it’s really difficult for someone just starting out to find good sources of information. Instead, I strongly suggest that you read a book or two.

For PPC, I recommend “Google Adwords for Dummies” (Howie Jacobson) and “Pay-Per-Click Search Engine Marketing: An Hour a Day” (David Szetela). Both of these authors are very knowledgeable and write clearly, and their books are still fairly current.

I’m not as familiar with the SEO side of things, but Peter Kent’s “Search Engine Optimization For Dummies” is a recent publication and has attracted very good reviews and ratings on Amazon.

Your guess is as good as mine. This was a while ago, but I remember doing a LOT of searching before I found the answer. I don’t use CF7 anymore, but perhaps their support and documentation has improved since then.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

5 Tips for Writing the Perfect Blog Post
If you use WordPress, or Blogger, or any other modern blogging tool for that matter, the search engines are “pinged” and know right away that you have made a post. So, don’t worry about submitting it to search engines manually (and for heaven’s sake, don’t pay someone who claims to do that)!

In general, the best method nowadays is to generate some social traffic. Post a link to you post to Facebook, Twitter, pin your post’s featured image to Pinterest.

Business Models are simulations of actual business functioning.
They act as ideal real life examples, and help participants actively discuss the pros and cons of the situation given.

A business Model offers a Full Account of any particular Business Scenario. Readers of this model/ Participants are then asked to discuss the strengths and weaknessess of it. Put it simply, one has to SWOT analyze the Business Model based on different parameters.

Each participant comes up with his/her own views on the subject. Cumulative views and different view points are then listed and ranked based on their importance and relevance.

Thus at the end of the session, a business models suitability and viability is drafted and conclusions are drawn thereon.

The more the Business Model Analysis a person does, the more exposed he gets to real life corporate situations.
Hence it is said, that Business Models act as Good Simulators.

Search Engine Optimization
A search engine is a service provided by some company (Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, etc.) which will search through millions of web pages for keywords that a person types into a field. For instance, if I type “Puppy” into a search box on Google’s web site, there are currently 40,800,000 matches available. If the search provider has a good search algorithm in their software, then the most relevant pages should be listed first. In my case, I’m a happy searcher, because after the Google Image samples, the first result listed is the Puppy Linux website, which is the only Puppy I would ever be searching for online. Most search providers keep track of what websites people will actually visit after doing a search. They then use the results to make sure those pages are closer to the top of the list for the next time someone searches for the same keyword(s).

Image search optimization is about using images on your website to draw more “click-throughs” from the search provider, thereby raising your rank in the search list. This, in turn, helps to ensure that you keep getting more visits to your site. A neat article I just found by typing “image search optimization” into Google Search is linked below.
