Understand this – when you drive by somebody on a bikes, and shout something out of an open window, all we actually hear is “Aaaak”. We cant hear and distinguish anything more than a syllable, much less a sentence.
The next time you desire to drive by me and shout “Fag!” or “Idiot!” or “Get a car!”, heres what I require to have you do: Stop your cars and truck and say whatever insulting thing you have to state to my face.
I dare ya. No, in fact I double attempt ya.: evil:

And, while were on the subject of “driver good manners”, please, PLEASE dont begin to make a turn when theres a cyclist behind you, and after that change your mind. When I was pulling up behind a cars and truck in a turning lane, I was nearly in a bad circumstance today. Since it looked like the vehicle was turning, I was timing my approach so I would strike the intersection after the turn happened. When the car decided to not turn, I had to navigate really quickly to get out of harms way.
Thats practically it in the meantime.

I figure the driver was trying to be good, whichs fine. Chauffeurs must keep in mind that cyclists are (or at least ought to be) preparation every encounter we have with an automobile in advance. Think me, in nearly all cases, I am trying to prevent encounters with cars, not trying to get them to accommodate me.
Drivers needs to keep in mind that bicyclists are (or at least should be) planning every encounter we have with a car in advance.

What Car With Good Mpg Would Be Good For Gravel Roads? Cars usually are too low to the ground and hit some parts on the bottom of the car. Are there any cars with good mpg that can ride good on gravel roads?
View CommentJust about any Subaru is the perfect car for you, as they are essentially built specifically for that purpose. Only problem is the definition of good MPG. Most Subies won’t see better than 20 MPG in the city, but can get a respectable 24-28 on the highway provided its properly maintained.
View CommentHow Much Would A Car Dealer Buy My New Car After 3 Yrs Service? Hi,
View CommentMy budget is £8000 and I want to buy a brand new car. I would like to know whether I can re-sell the car to the car dealer after 3 years and how much would this or another dealer buy it for approximately after 3 yrs service? Apart from insurance + car, what else should I pay for? Thanks.
Buying a brand new car is an expensive business: You have the same running costs as a good used car (possibly a few hundred quid less overall taking into account MOT costs & free servicing offers on some new cars), but you’re going to take a big hit in depreciation, and if you’re borrowing money to finance your new car, that’ll cost you too.
View CommentSelling to a dealer unless you plan to part ex for another new car will mean the dealer offers you a very poor price: You’ll get a better deal selling privately & re negotiating a deal on another car.
Your used car will be worth around £3,000 – £4,000 at three years old (although depreciation varies hugely between different makes & models). A dealer may offer or guarantee you a higher part ex price, but this will be dependent on you buying another new car from them.
You could therefore buy the same car at three years old yourself, and afford to throw it away after three years: Any resale value at six years old will mean you’re in profit.
What Does A New Car Really Smell Of And How Can It Be Replicated? The car deodorisers that one buys at the shops claim to have a new car smell, but they smell nothing like a new car. I believe all new cars smell alike because they use a particular glue or something. What glue / compound is it?
View CommentThere is no new car smell, it is an aerosol spray which is sprayed into to the car cabin during manufacture.
View CommentThe Car industry likes to keep the New Car Smell myth alive because it makes the thought of buying a new car more appealing to the public.
You can buy the spray on ebay very cheaply.
What Car Is Capable To Be Tuned Up To Go Very Fast For Racing? Not those expensive sports cars; a regular car that can be tuned up for racing. I was thinking the old honda civics maybe? I heard any car can go fast, but each car has there limit of going so fast before they lose control or something, what car is capable of going fast without losing control?
View CommentIf you want to go fast its easier to start with a car that is already somewhat fast. A Civic isn’t fast. Even the Si isn’t fast.

Then it says that you can get Car Hire if you pay a little extra.
I thought they were the same thing or is there something different between them?
View CommentA courtesy car is loaned to you free of charge and a hire car you pay for.
View CommentIf they are offering you a choice then take the courtesy car, it may be smaller than your car but you will only have it whilst yours is off the road.
What Car Should I Get A 2007 Pontiac G5 Or A 2003 Subaru Impreza Wrx? I am a 19 year old and I am a bit picky on cars because car insurance is high for me. I just want someone that has some experenice with those cars. Suggestion for other cars are fine too, only sport cars or coupes.
View CommentI’m really surprised to see this question. The wrx is a terrific car. I used to own one for four years and single thing didn’t go wrong with it. The insurance was fairly inexpensive on the vehicle as well. The 2002 and 2003 models are considered compact sedans by insurance. The 2004+ models are considered sport sedans, so they have slightly higher insurance.
If you’re comparing their performance, I can’t think of one thing that the Pontiac does better. It MIGHT get better gas mileage.
View CommentMuscle Cars/Tuner Vs Cars Difference? Can someone please help me understand the differences between a muscle car, tuner car and a regular car? In terms of mechanics that would be fantastic. I get that a tuner car is a car that you adapt but a little more understanding would be great. Would you mind describing the function of each piece that is altered to please. Detail too, aside from a cool paint job. Sources are welcome. I’m asking because I am some what interested in trying to edit my first car just for kicks. My dad is a mechanic so that part wouldn’t be dangerous we just don’t know what all there is that needs to be changed. Thanks All.
View CommentMuscle cars are basically american sports cars with big loud engines.
Tuners refer to any sports car made by japanese or european manufacturers. But most of the time the term tuner is coined towards japanese cars.
Muscle cars usually focus more on straight like speed while Tuners are better at handling.

However, when breaking, electric power is stored [due to friction, i believe] and it recharges the car battery if I am correct. Prius’ are great cars!

How Do I Lease A Car? Do I go to car dealers? Do I contact rental car companies? The former seem to only sell cars, while the latter seem to only rent cars. Where do I lease cars?
View CommentAll new car dealers also lease cars.
View CommentThings to remember about leasing: you have to return the car in good condition or you will be charged for every ding and scratch. You cannot exceed allowed annual mileage or once again you will be charged for every extra mile and lastly you are responsible to make sure the car has 100% comprehensive insurance policy to protect the leasing company’s asset. You also cannot modify the car in anyway, unless you can return the car to stock before you return it. The car also has to be serviced regularly as per the maintenance schedule.
Why Do American Cars Suck? Japanese cars out last American cars.
View CommentIn Japanese cars, there is more quality control and room for expansion/innovation since there is lesser taxes and lesser wages that have to be paid to the employees, so that a Japanese plant usually has state-of-the-art equipment to monitor and control all parts of the car. Also, most Japanese cars are imported from Japan or made in the United States/Canada (exception: Nissan plant, Aguascalientes, Mexico; makes Xterra and Sentra… I had a 2004 Sentra that broke every month).
On the other hand, American vehicles are usually made in America, where there is a high demand of wages and usually working with more older equipment (but not drastically old, mind you), which declining sales has placed less overhead available for expansion. Therefore, more and more domestic cars are made in Mexico; not to bad-mouth the Mexicans (my great-grandpa is Mexican, so it’s not a racially-biased comment), but quality control is notoriously bad in Mexico. That’s the only theory that I can think of.
Also another theory is that the Japanese (and most Asians) care more about reputation and “losing face”, therefore it is usually wiser to be honest and have a product that lasts with minimal maintenance (if only women were like that… I’d never be single instead of being cheated on).
However, American companies only focus on financial gain, hence the outsourcing to Mexico and the lowering of the base costs of the auto parts, along with lots of cost-cutting methods… Most American companies use the cheapest materials possible, and if an engineer finds out that a $0.02 part is needed for the proper functioning of a part, instead of adding it and raising the part price a bit (which I’m sure a customer won’t mind paying less than a quarter more), they dismiss it and let it be handled by an even costlier recall, especially if it’s something that is A. covered by warranty (which means money for the factory itself to pay for the part) and B. labor for the mechanics!
View CommentAt Fault Car Accident? In the case listed below, Car A and Car B are in a crowded parking lot.
Car A drives down an aisle. Cars are all parked close together. There is also a car illegally parked (not a parking spot) which partially blocks the view of the aisle. Car A turns the corner (left). Car B is driving straight. Car A and B collide immediately as car A begins to turn the corner. The front left corner of Car A is damaged (broken headlight). Car Bâs damage is more spread out in the front of the car. Car Bâs damage is not as isolated as Car Aâs damage. Car Bâs headlights are intact.
Can this qualify as a âno faultâ accident since the view was corrupted? Should one of the cars stopped in the parking lot? What are the legal rules for parking lots?
Thank you.
View CommentI would imagine that car C was blocking view of car A and car A hit car B. In which case it would be car A’s fault.
I have a question on car C though, you say it’s block car A’s view ? could car A driver not look through the windows of car C to see car B coming ?
Anyway, general rule of thumb is that if your view is blocked you need to edge out careful or get someone to check for you.

Difference Between Cup Amd Nationwide Cars? Are nationwide cars different from cup cars in terms of engine, etc
View CommentNationwide cars have different body dimensions, with the most prevalent being they have a shorter wheelbase (105in vs 110in) than the Cup cars. Cup cars are actually shorter than NNS cars (196.5 vs 203.75), but are wider (77in for Cup, 75 for NNS). Nationwide cars currently weigh 100 pounds less than a Cup car (3,200 versus 3,300).
The biggest difference between Nationwide and Cup cars is the engine package. While both series use 358ci max V8s with a 12:1 compression ratio, the Cup series currently uses electronic fuel ignition with its engine pushing the horsepower to 850+. In contrast, Nationwide still uses a 390cfm carburetor which limits the horsepower to only around 650-700.

View CommentDiesel Cars Or Petrol Cars? I am looking to turn down to an ecomony car because I don’t think it is worth wasting money on the petrol. I hear stories that the new ford fiesta and vauxhall corsa are not getting the mpg that the car should be getting in the car brochure. I want to know what is the best mpg your car is doing ( new cars only ) on a Diesel. Also what is the best petrol car that does more than 40mpg around town and again tell me what your best mpg you’ve got out of your Petrol car.

View CommentCar Help Muscle Cars Slow Compared? I here muscle cars are slow today compared to cars like these http://www.thesupercars.org/fastest-cars/fastest-cars-in-the-world-top-10-list/
View Commentso are import compared to those but how come in movies like fast and the furious instead of showing those fast cars they use muscle cars still? they get like 10 second cars how fast are those cars how fast can they do a quarter mile
Yer mate like the other guy said its a movie, HOWEVER it if very possible to get a 10second Skyline, supra or rx7, it just takes cash, and the cars would be very unstreetable (Not practical to drive on the street) especially with all the weight of subs etc in the cars in movies.
Also the cars on this list are 100’s of thousands of dollars..
Import cars have stereo’s etc.. At least half of the cars on this list would not have stereo’s, air con etc.. for weight saving, even though 90% of them would never see the track.. Also because these cars are so wide, they would have Crap handling..
Import cars also have great aftermarket support..
muscle cars are impractical today because they very heavy, because of this they need a larger engine, which usually means they are fuel guzzlers.. but when you see the odd charger that is stripped of everything except the basics, they can produce huge power and fast times
“Oh and i’ve never seen a 10 second run on road tyres either”
View CommentMate you have had your eyes shut all your life. there is plenty of them out there
Do Rental Car Companies Lease Or Purchase? Do rental car companies lease or purchase their cars from car manufacturers?
If leased, do they owe more on the lease than the value of the depreciated car?
All replies welcome.
View CommentRental car companies purchase cars from the manufacturer. The cars are titled in the name of the Rental Company. Depending on the model and Rental Company, the cars are usually sold to the public after about 36,000 miles.
