Comment on Common Craigslist Scams by Admin.

There isn’t much good money left in craigslist or ebay for beginners. you’ll just get marked as spam on craigslist and ebay is filled with spammers. if you want a good way to make money online, you should probably try starting an online business. my sister has a crafts business that she started with a site called “wimzy.info”

they send you information on how to get started for free and will call you and help directly if you confirm your phone number (i just asked her, lol)

hope i helped. :]

Common Craigslist Scams
Open up http://www.craigslist.org

If it does not automatically open up your city’s craigslist, then choose your city from the list found on the right.

At the bottom left, choose “Terms of Use” which is here http://www.craigslist.org/about/terms.of.use and READ THEM.

Next, choose the FAQ http://www.craigslist.org/about/help/ also on the left side, and read the sections relevant to what you are posting. Learning the rules takes about 20 minutes.

In short, ONE AD for your business in Services. ONE AD per item in your business inventory in For Sale By Dealer. If it’s your own, used, privately-owned stuff, post as For Sale By Owner. No links. No html. No hit counters. Just a plain-text ad describing what you are selling/offering/buying and what you charge/will pay. Anything else draws flags.

Once you know the rules, click Post To Classifieds at the top left of the craigslist homepage. Read each set of selections carefully so that your ad for housing/business items/services/dating/etc. is correctly classified. Post.

If you are asked to phone verify during the process, then answer your phone, get the code, and enter it.

Once your ad is posted, do some of the work on the site. It’s community moderated. Go find ads selling or buying guns or other weapons and weapon-related items, or selling pets, or prostitute ads, or firewood dealers posting as By Owner, and flag them. You should flag any ad you think is bad, it’s how you “pay” for the site. That keeps the site clean and organized and makes good ads easy to find. No flagging? Then if your ad gets no responses, it’s your fault. You didn’t do your share of work making the site easy to use.

Common Craigslist Scams
So I will be up front about having never used craigslist to find a roommate…but I have rented (many) apartments, and roomshares, used craigslist to find an apartment for myself, bought tons of stuff from craigslist sellers, and have sold loads in turn, including a 350k house using craigslist. So even though I have never used the wonderful site to find a roommate (as I am married with kids), I think I have some pretty thorough craigslist experience.

Having said that, I think anyone is a fool to NOT use craigslist in any situation involving rent. It is simply a powerful marketing tool.

The chance of getting a psycho is the same as with any other medium of advertising… However, the chance of having no response goes down dramatically using a good marketing tool like craigslist.

Now, if you are worried about ending up with psycho’s or criminals or people who won’t pay then that should be addressed in your screening plans. I have certainly had a load of renters who didn’t pay on time (or ever), but that has always been because I went against my better judgment or was too lazy to run their credit or check references.

So the short version is that craigslist is a good website. When discussing craigslist with regards to marketing for rentals it is (in my opinion) the best. (seriously, if I had to rent my apartment with $500 in conventional advertising or just craigslist, I would take craigslist in a heartbeat)

5 Tips for Writing the Perfect Blog Post
If you use WordPress, or Blogger, or any other modern blogging tool for that matter, the search engines are “pinged” and know right away that you have made a post. So, don’t worry about submitting it to search engines manually (and for heaven’s sake, don’t pay someone who claims to do that)!

In general, the best method nowadays is to generate some social traffic. Post a link to you post to Facebook, Twitter, pin your post’s featured image to Pinterest.

Catchy Headlines
Business Models are simulations of actual business functioning.
They act as ideal real life examples, and help participants actively discuss the pros and cons of the situation given.

A business Model gives a Full Account of any particular Business Scenario. Readers of this model/ Participants are then asked to discuss the strengths and weaknessess of it. Put it simply, one has to SWOT analyze the Business Model based on different parameters.

Each participant comes up with his/her own views on the subject. Cumulative views and different view points are then listed and ranked based on their importance and relevance.

Thus at the end of the session, a business models suitability and viability is drafted and conclusions are drawn thereon.

The more the Business Model Analysis a person does, the more exposed he gets to real life corporate situations.
Hence it is said, that Business Models act as Good Simulators.

Search Engine Optimization
A search engine is a service provided by some company (Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, etc.) which will search through millions of web pages for keywords that a person types into a field. For instance, if I type “Puppy” into a search box on Google’s web site, there are currently 40,800,000 matches available. If the search provider has a good search algorithm in their software, then the most relevant pages should be listed first. In my case, I’m a happy searcher, because after the Google Image samples, the first result listed is the Puppy Linux website, which is the only Puppy I would ever be searching for online. Most search providers keep track of what websites people will actually visit after doing a search. They then use the results to make sure those pages are closer to the top of the list for the next time someone searches for the same keyword(s).

Image search optimization is about using images on your website to draw more “click-throughs” from the search provider, thereby raising your rank in the search list. This, in turn, helps to ensure that you keep getting more visits to your site. A neat article I just found by typing “image search optimization” into Google Search is linked below.
