I was quite fascinated yesterday to get this in my inbox

Floating city for startups makes waves among entrepreneurs

The world's EEZs are shown as a white extensio...

Wow. Basically, the company behind “Blueseed” (the name of the “floating city”) is trying to create an independent “state” where tech entrepreneurs can get together in international waters and pursue their startups.

Makes you kinda wonder – is the state of business so bad in the U.S. that someone decided they need to be 12 miles off the coast to feel “safe” in their endeavors? Or, is this just a ploy by some less than honorable promoters who need to stay just out of the clutches of the authorities.

(Some of the comments are so frickin self-righteous it’s pathetic)

Where Does Mitt Romney Stand On Liberty And The Constitution? Just like Obama and Presidents before, Mitt Romney has been chosen by the foreign bankers that own our government as our next President. Fundamentally, both are owned and only superficially different, to provide the illusion of difference.

How will Mitt Romney be any different than Obama, or Presidents before, on matters of individual liberty and adherence to the Constitution?

@ Flower: Credit Suisse, a Swiss bank, is the #2 or #3 campaign financier for the Romney campaign. Banks both foreign and domestic are running the show.

Anyways, to answer your question he does not give two sh*ts about the constitution. He has already stated he supports the Patriot Act and the NDAA that was just ruled unconstitutional in Hedges v. Obama.

Do You Agree With Ron Paul? Does Donald Trump Hosting A Debate Belittle The Office Of The Presidency? Ron Paul is joining Jon Huntsman in the growing list of Republican presidential candidates who are sitting out Newsmax???s December 27th debate hosted by Donald Trump.

The selection of a reality television personality to host a presidential debate that voters nationwide will be watching is beneath the office of the Presidency and flies in the face of that office???s history and dignity,???

I agree. This is the Presidency of the United States, not Big Brother or Survivor. Donald Trump is a Reality Show host (and a businessman). His only motives for this debate is to rake in some money from advertising and ratings. He’s going to let the candidates get up there and battle with each other, tearing each other down like a pack of savage animals for the entertainment of the people, not to determine who’s the best candidate for the presidency. It’s absolutely foolish if you ask me.

      Yes.

The facts are that in the Mandate conferred on Britain in 1922 by the League of Nations, the objective was to facilitate the “reconstitution” of a Jewish National Home in Palestine, which at the time included BOTH sides of the Jordan River, an area of approximately 116,500 square kilometers.

However, in 1922-23, contradicting the terms of its mandate and ignoring Jewish protests, the British excised 80% of the area intended for the Jewish National Home. In the almost-empty area east of the Jordan River, it created a new state named Transjordan, which has since been renamed the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

These facts are confirmed on the Jordanian website http://www.kinghussein.gov.jo/his_transjordan.html in the following words. “On May 15, 1923, Britain formally recognized the Emirate of Transjordan as a state under the leadership of Emir Abdullah. This angered the Zionists, as it effectively severed Transjordan from Palestine and so reduced the area of any future Jewish national home in the region”.

Since World War 1, an additional 11 independent Arab states were created, namely Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan, Algeria, Libya, Tunisia, and Morocco, covering over 9 million square kilometers. By comparison the total area of Israel excluding the West Bank covers less than 21 thousand square kilometers.

The UN adopted the Mandate complete with its obligation to promote Jewish settlement and in 1947 it passed Resolution 181 by a vote of 33 to13 with 10 abstentions, partitioning the area west of the Jordan between Jews and Arabs. This resolution affirming the creation of a Jewish state, was one of the few issues on which the US and Soviet Russia voted together.

The Jews accepted the resolution, despite the huge reduction in the area allocated for the promised homeland. Unfortunately, all the Arab states rejected the resolution and this great opportunity for a two state solution was lost, as have many opportunities been lost since then.

Had the Arab states accepted the partition resolution, there would be no Palestinian refugee problem today. Unfortunately the moment Israel was established in its reduced area, five Arab armies immediately invaded, publicly declaring their intention to slaughter all the Jews and leading to the very sad state of affairs that continues to this day.

If President Obama Is A Socialist Or Communist? Would that make the republicans the same things ? Obama may have ran on a democratic platform in
order to get elected, but in reality he’s just a few policies away from being a moderate republican he is
no liberal by a long shot which is why he stays in trouble with the true liberals probably 90% or more
of the policies the republicans are fighting him are policies that republican have traditionally supported so back to my question President have be called too many things by republicans to even remember does it make the all those things as well ?

President Barack Obama is neither a Socialist or a Communist. A Socialist supports public, governmental ownership of the means of production including industry and organized collective farming. Obama is not promoting either of Socialism’s principles. Communism is the extreme of Socialism, more of a dictatorship. Obama is a Liberal with some moderate policies that he favors including gun control etc. Liberals do like some of his policies including the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, the Health Care mandate, and the START treaty. So, when you hear someone say “Obama is a Socialist! / Communist!,” you can just shake your head and decry them out loud or in your head by knowing that is just propaganda. The most “Socialist” thing that I can think that Obama has wanted to do is raise the taxes on the wealthy, but his amount is not “Socialism”, it is more fair.

In fact, Obama has over and over stated his favor of the Free Enterprise, Capitalistic Economic System that the United States currently has, he just favors making it more fair, modern, and more beholden to some Liberal policies.

How Much Is Donald Trump Worth?

    View Comment

The Forbes 400 list of 2005 estimates that Donald Trump’s net worth at $2.7 billion. This places him in 83rd place. Trump himself claims to be worth over $5 billion. However, on October 26, 2005, The New York Times published an investigation into the history of Trump’s net worth which suggested that the figures stated by Forbes have regularly been several times greater than his actual worth, even though they have been much lower than Trump’s own estimates. Additionally, in Wayne Barret’s book, “Trump: The Deals and the Downfalls,” it is reported that an outside auditor reported that Trump “seriously over-valued” his assets. Further, in the recent book “Trump Nation,” author Tim O’Brien makes a convincing case that not only is Trump not worth between $2 and 5 billion, but that Donald Trump is not a billionaire at all.

It’s funny when people can’t tell Trump is saying crazy sh!t to get the untapped crazy vote. But I guess it’s like they say, if you knew you were crazy, you wouldn’t be crazy.

Trump on gay marriage: “It's like in golf. A lot of people -- I don't want this to sound trivial -- but a lot of people are switching to these really long putters, very unattractive. It's weird. You see these great players with these really long putters, because they can't sink three-footers anymore. And, I hate it. I am a traditionalist. I have so many fabulous friends who happen to be gay, but I am a traditionalist.”

Ps., Trump claims to have 12 billion dollars, but deutsche bank and others assess him at less than 1 billion.

Float Pool Cna Job Description? Can anyone please explain to me what a float pool cna is. What is it like if you are or have been one, what’s the pay per hour/week, how many days of the week can I work, the hours I can work, any information about. I’m already a cna but want to know what a float pool is. Thank you ?

The Float Pool Nurse Aide I, under the supervision and/or direction of a Charge / Registered Nurse, performs routine duties in caring for hospitalized patients in all nursing areas of the hospital (Critical Care, Definitive Care, Med/Surg, Maternal Child, E.D.).This full time position works 7p-7am, Shift Type* : 12 Hour Night in the Float Pool Department. pool cna job description.

      Feedback from CNA #1

It’s hard to be very precise and specific, because different facilities use the term “float pool” in different ways, but, generally, a “float pool” is a group of staff that work on whatever unit they’re needed on any particular day (they “float” throughout the facility).

In some places, “float pool” is the same as working “prn” or “per diem” — you are not guaranteed any particular number of days/hours per pay period; they just let you know when they need you, and you let them know whether or not you’re available (want to work) on those particular days.

In other facilities, “float pool” staff (nurses and CNAs) work a full- or part-time position with a specific, guaranteed number of hours per pay period, but they just don’t know on what unit they’re going to be working those hours.

Some places require you to work some specific number of hours and/or holidays per year in order to remain in the float pool or on the prn list.

You would have to speak to a specific facility to find out exactly how they define “float pool” and what the specific requirements would be (and you would definitely want to be v. clear about the details before you agreed to take the job). It’s a way for facilities to have some flexibility and “wiggle room” in meeting their staffing needs. Like everything else in nursing, some nurses really like working as a “float,” and others would never want to do it under any circumstances — the great thing about nursing is that there’s something for everyone

What Laws Apply On International Waters? I was just on a cruise, and was wondering what sort of laws applied on these waters. I know that the drinking age is lowered to 18, there is no tax on goods purchased, you can dump certain wastes, etc… any elaboration?

    View Comment
    1. Reply

The laws are those of the “flag” it flies. If it flys a US flag then it’s US law. This is the reason when pulling into a countries waters the “flag” is lowered and the country they are now in has it’s flag raised to show that you are now in that country, pull out into international waters and the flag “of choice” is raised, giving the country of choice rights over the boat. This is why when in US waters they can’t serve an 18yo a drink, but once they enter international waters they can, because the country you’re “in” (sailing under) allows it.

PS Most cruises if you dump waste will kick you off at the next port of call.
