Fashion Advice

If you’re blogging because you have an opinion on a particular subject matter you want to share, it’s essential that you present yourself as a brand. Use the tips below for creating your own brand of authorship for your blog.

Advice

Distinguish yourself by identifying your viewpoint in order to help your reader understand where you’re coming from. Instead of simply beginning your posts or series of posts or blog site based on a particular category, connect the category to you and why you’re motivated to write about it. Understanding what angle you have on a particular issue is helpful for readers who don’t know you.

Advice

Similarly to the way a political label, such as Liberal or Conservative, helps others to make certain assumptions about what they can expect from you, you’ll want to provide your readers with labels and information that allow them to assign particular attributes that belong to you.

Blog

After informing your readers of general attributes they assume you possess through the use of descriptive and understandable labels, distinguish yourself from others your readers would likely put into the same category. For instance, if you’re a political liberal who believes that unions should be dissolved because they no longer serve their original purpose, you should convey that idea by specifically explaining it or including it in your general brand label, such as by calling yourself an Anti-Union Liberal. >

If your blog is devoted to an analysis of a particular issue, try to include information about where your expertise on the issue came from. For instance, if you’re giving fashion advice, you can explain that you’re a lover of fashion or that you have work experience in a particular aspect of the fashion industry, or that you’ve achieved educational training in a particular aspect of fashion.

Fashion

Don’t try to adopt a blog persona that you cannot maintain simply because you imagine that your potential audience wants to see you in a certain way.

Fashion

Because you’ll be creating a lot of posts, adopting a personality or viewpoint that is actually not representative of who you are is likely to result in content that contradicts itself form one posting to the next, or in non-persuasive writing because you’re pretending to be something you’re not.

Fashion Advice

When you’re composing your blog content, don’t use language that contradicts your training and image as presented to your audience. For instance, if you inform your audience that you love fashion and therefore decided to write about it, don’t use terminology that will only be understood by manufacturers or designers or others in the fashion industry. If you do use any technical language, define it in the body of your content since you’re neither claiming to be an expert nor are you expecting your audience to be experts.

Fashion Advice

When you choose to blog on a particular subject matter, who you are to your readers, as a brand, can be just as significant as what you say. Use the suggestions above for beginning to formulate your brand as author of your blog.

Really Need Help With Subject Matter Environmental Science? I’m taking an environmental science class and we have to do a 10 minute presentation on any subject matter of our choosing. I’ve been going through articles and just feel so overwhelmed. Everything is just giving me a headache. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good subject? Something specific would be great. My problem now is that everything I’ve been looking at is so broad. I need to narrow the subject down. Thanks for your help!

Why Are MPs Without Qualifications In The Subject Matter Allowed To Be Leaders Of A Given Dept? In any other industry in order to rise to the top and be any good you must have a thorough understanding of the subject matter. Yet the heads of our govrnment are allowed to the top, not because of what they know, but who they know.
    It sucks.
    It needs changing.
Qualified, time served, people need to fill these positions, not the little runts with loads of cling ons that we as taxpayers have to fork out for.

What Does It Mean By Subject Matter In Art Work? What is the subject matter in the image “self portrait in the studio” 1976 by brett whiteley.

The subject matter is simply what the painting is of, in this instance it would be Brett Whitely in his studio (unless the title is completely misleading).
      It is also a matter of what he’s doing in the studio;
If he’s juggling eels then this would also part of the subject but as you haven’t provided an image I can’t tell.

Jean-Paul Riopelle Focused On What Subject Matter? What kind of subject matter did Jean-Paul Riopelle focus on? I mean, landscapes, portraits? I know he does abstract expressionism, but what SUBJECT MATTER?

    thanks so much!

    View Comment
    1. Reply

Because Riopelle was a purely abstract artist his paintings have no subject matter in the sense of being portraits, landscapes etc.
His paintings are about the formal arrangement of line, colour and texture so you might say that the subject matter of his work is the creation of paintings.

Lyrical Skill Or Subject Matter? Title explains itself pretty well. But lemme go into more detail. Would you rather listen to a rapper with mediocre lyrics and great subject matter. Or a rapper with great word play and no specific subject at all? Yes or no. And why.

Hands down it has to be subject matter because some guys are lyrical but have no emotion. Poetry is emotion and your feeling sometimes being a lyricist you can use to many punchlines it starts to sound corny. I mean I will put the album Machiavelli against any lyrical albumn. 2pac wasn’t the tightest lyricist but as a poet he is da best because he could make you feel his pain or happiness and that takes skill to make someone feel what you feel. It takes skill to be snoop dog and if was easy to be snoop a lot of people could do what he does. Subject matter is what counts because it has a message and if you close your eyes and listen you can see what a rapper is saying you could see yourself there. That takes more skill to paint pictures with words. Don’t get me wrong there are some tight lyrical mc’s out but the feeling I get when I hear something talking about something it is no comparison. Cause life is real and not always funny. I mean I’m name you some albumns like da chronic, doggystyle, dog food, any pac albumn, cube, scarface the diary,Bone Thugs and Harmony. I don’t care what you say that took a lot of skill and imagination to do those albumns. Punchlines are only one aspect of a mc. You need passion, originality,a delivery, and word play. If you think anybody can just rap with passion and emotion then you are crazy. It takes skill to make someone see and feel what you are saying.

Fashion Advice? I like the way how people who live in manhattan dress — they are so stylish. my question is — where do they get those ideas from? what magazines? i read like a gazillion magazines every month but somehow i don’t see those styles in the magazines. im also a new yorker, but in the suburbs so we’re more like preppy. any city girls here? any suggestions? i know it’s the “in” thing because i see the pattern or the uniformity of the styles. it’s not something put together — but rather something that was suggested.

do you know any good magazines that are way advanced when it comes to fashion?

Stylish dressing is a learned skill
      research is the key
study other peoples outfits, talks to sales associates about clothing at higher end stores
      go to http://www.style.com, and http://www.shopbop.com
when you are reading fashion magazines, look at colors, accessories etc….. as well as the clothing itself
make friends with stylish people and learn from them, go shopping with them
immerse yourself in fashion for a while and you will pick stuff up until stylish dressing becomes natural

Your fashion sense sounds pretty good actually.

You could try dark jeans like these from H&M:
      http://www.hm.com/gb/product/96360?article=96360-A

Pair these jeans with a random T-shirt and a cardigan:
      http://www.burton.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=33052&storeId=12551&productId=3868037&langId=-1&sort_field=Relevance&categoryId=209057&parent_categoryId=208974&pageSize=20

You can wear this kind of outfit with your white trainers, it’s still the same kind of fashion you have now.
Just have fun with fashion, find your own unique style and don’t listen if people give negative comments.

      I hope this helps!

What Is Subject Matter In Photography? I need a definition, because im trying to find subject matter in a picture!

    Thanks ?

    View Comment
    1. Reply

The subject is the main object in the picture, the subject matter is the topic or context of the picture. If it is a landscape, it is the landscape itself. If it is a portrait, it is the person in the portrait. If it is a group of people playing a sport, it is the game. The subject matter is what you choose to focus on for the picture. And if it is something like in National Geographic, it might be tribal life, skydiving, hiking, – it is the subject and the story that the picture tells.

Google the phrase and see what comes up, then use your own words to define it, don’t just rely on what an answer you may or may not understand – looking for details will help you understand it better.

What Are The Subject Matter Of Bhagavad Gita?

    View Comment
    1. Reply

The following are the subject matters of Bhagavat Gita.

Dharma is the first word in the Bhagavad-gita.

Non-violence: In the name of dharma, Arjuna argues for nonviolence by assuming that to attack and kill so many leading men, nearly all of whom are fathers and husbands, will destabilize the important families and communities for which these men are responsible.

Surrender: Despite his previous arguments on the basis of dharma, Arjuna now admits that he is actually "confused in mind about dharma" (dharma-sammudha-cetah).(Bg. 2.7) Arjuna then gives up his arguments and surrenders to Lord Krishna as his spiritual master, and Lord Krishna begins teaching the Bhagavad-gita in earnest.

Eternal soul: From other scriptures one may get the impression that life is meant to practice dharma. But we find in the Bhagavad-gita that dharma itself is meant to assist the real goal of life: understanding the eternal soul and its relationship with the Supreme Soul, Krishna.

Real intelligence: Having explained the soul as distinct from the material body, Lord Krishna now states (Bg 2.39) that what He has just taught Arjuna is "real intelligence or understanding"(buddhi), and that He has taught it "in a philosophical sense" (sankhye).

      Duty.
      obedience of law.
      faith.
      Brahman(spirit).

Morality: Lord Krishna later declares as much in the fourteenth chapter: "Indeed, I am the foundation ofBrahman[spirit], and of unending immortality, and of everlasting dharma, and of the ultimate happiness." (Bg. 14.27)

      Devotion(Bhakti).
      Karma.
      Jnana.
      Perfection.

Attachment: Attachment is due to Moha. Attachment is the offspring of the quality of Rajas. Non-attachment is born of Sattva. Attachment is an Asuri-Sampat, demoniacal quality. Non-attachment is a Daivi-Sampat.

Discipline. The Gita, therefore, formulates the theory of the three Margas (paths), viz., the Jnana Marga, the Bhakti Marga and the Karma Marga, to suit to people of all temperaments. According to the teaching of the Gita, there is no conflict among the three. The Gita harmonises wonderfully the philosophy of action, devotion and knowledge. All the three must be harmoniously blended if you wish to attain perfection. You should have the head of Sri Sankara, the heart of Lord Buddha and the hand of Raja Janaka. The three horses of this body-chariot--action, emotion and intellect--should work in perfect harmony. Only then will this body-chariot move smoothly and you can reach the destination safely and quickly. Only then can you rejoice in the Self within. Only then can you sing the song of Soham (I am He). Only then can you be in tune with the Infinite. Only then can you hear the soundless voice of the soul and enjoy the sweet internal music of the Self.

The central teaching of the Gita is the attainment of the final beatitude of life or perfection or Freedom (Moksha) by doing the duties of life or one's Svadharma. The Lord says to Arjuna: “Therefore without attachment, do thou always perform action which should be done; for by performing action without attachment man reaches the Supreme.”

What Is Subject Matter In Literature? Help me differentiate it with literal meaning

    View Comment
    1. Reply

The subject matter is topic addressed by the literature.
“Literal meaning” means the meaning you would get based only on the dictionary definitions of the words used.

Because words may have a figurative meaning in addition to the literal meaning, the reader may have to understand the figurative meaning to identify the subject matter.

For instance, a story or poem about a leaf falling may be literally about a leaf falling from a tree but figuratively about death, which would be the real subject matter of the story or poem.

What Is The Matter Subject Of Sociology? ? Please tel me anyone plz plz i m very wek in them

      Subject Matter of Sociology

Sociology is the scientific study of society: its composition, organization, culture, and development. Sociology combines scientific methods with humanistic perspectives and integrates the findings of economics, political science, psychology, and history. The subject matter of sociology is equally diverse, ranging from crime to religion, from the family to the state, from popular culture to traditional culture, and from social stability to revolution. Sociology is a field of study that seeks to analyze and explain important matters that affects our everyday life, our society, and the world in which we live. At a personal level sociology investigates the causes and consequences of such things as romantic love, racial prejudice, gender identity, deviant behaviour, entrepreneurial activity, and religious experience. At a societal level, sociology examines and explains such matters as existence of poverty and wealth, the creation of law, the administration of justice, prejudice and discrimination, business enterprises and entrepreneurship, schools and education, and social movements. At the global level sociology studies such things as population growth and migration, economic development and globalization, war and peace, and policies to support the protection of the environment.

Sociologists stress the importance of systematically gathering and analyzing evidence about social life to enrich our understanding of the social processes that drive society and impact on everyday life. In doing this sociologists use a wide variety of research methods. Sociologists observe the everyday life of social groups, conduct individual interviews, carry out large-scale social surveys, examine historical documents and official records, analyze census data, and conduct small group experiments. Regardless of the methods used, the aim is always to better understand the social forces that affect our lives and society in which we live. One of the most important things that sociology can offer to its students is the ability to grasp clearly a connection between broad social forces and personal experience. This is an extremely important preparation for living effective personal lives in a changing and complex world. It is also equally important for the future development of our society.

Year 10 Subject: Does This Really Matter? I really hate economy studies!!! i have a assessed project due and does it really matter if i do bad? I reckon i won’t fail but 60 is considered fail in my expectations. I am only focused on maths, science and english. In VCE, next year i chose most of the sciency subjects and non to do with eco. Should this matter? I’m not too bad, we are working in teams and i hate my one thats why i think i’ll do bad

    View Comment
    1. Reply

Nah it shouldn’t matter, especially since you’re not doing a business-related subject in VCE. If you’re doing well in your English, science and maths subjects there shouldn’t be a problem and you will stand in good stead for studies in Years 11 and 12. The only issue I could see is if your school takes your grades across all subjects to determine what you can/can’t do but I highly doubt one project will affect your VCE pathway. If 50-60 percent is worst case scenario then there’s nothing to worry about, failing probably wouldn’t have a huge impact as well.

You’re only in Year 10, relax. Nothing you do this year will go towards your ATAR score, it’s Year 12 that really matters.
