Background Image Code:
For the body tag example:
margin: 0 auto;
background: #fff url(image_name.jpg) no-repeat center scroll;
That is the proper CSS code for a non-tiled image where the contents scroll with the background image. Change “#fff” to preferred bg color. Change “scroll” to “fixed” if you want page contents to scroll over bg image. Be sure to set proper width/height to provide minimum page size to display bg image. Put the CSS on an external CSS file. If using embedded CSS, then place CSS between the style tags and place those style tags between the head tags of the page.
For a tiled image, change to:
margin: 0 auto;
background: #fff url(image_name.jpg) repeat top left scroll;
Put that CSS on an external CSS file if you have more than one page. Put the CSS between the style tags and place them between the head tags if using it on one page. Style another tag other than the body tag if you are using a div wrap container. Should you want the contents of page to scroll over the background image, change “scroll” to “fixed”.

You need to upload your picture to some webspace, preferably webspace that you own; some picture storage sites will let you link to them, some won’t (because every time that the link is used, you’re using their bandwidth). When you’ve done this, copy the url of your picture, and type the following in, inserting the url between the quotation marks
So that would be, for example,
You don’t. XML was not built for the purpose of inserting images, only text.
Even if you were talking about inserting the path to an image, the image still won’t be displayed unless the application reading the XML understands what you were doing.
You have it backwards, though. XML doesn’t use HTML, but HTML can use XML. In many ways, they both can look like each other, and if properly written, they can be identical.
The difference is that a browser interprets HTML so that somethings, like “” tags, will get converted into an image. That doesn’t happen with the same thing is written in an XML file. In fact, try writing this in notepad:
Then save as two separate files: one called “1.html” and the other called “1.xml”.
Double click both; they will both be loaded in IE or your browser of choice.
But the HTML file will show the image, the XML file will not – in fact, it will show pretty much what you typed in.
In Photoshop or Illustrator, go to File menu and click on Save for Web and save your images in the PNG-24 format.
Unlike JPEG, PNG utilizes lossless compression, meaning no image data is lost when saving or viewing the image. It is a universal format that is supported by all modern web browsers. Another nice feature of PNG images is the ability to adjust gamma based on monitor settings.
To insert your images in Dreamweaver use Insert menu > Image.

Business Models are simulations of actual business functioning.

Search Engine Optimization
A search engine is a service provided by some company (Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, etc.) which will search through millions of web pages for keywords that a person types into a field. For instance, if I type “Puppy” into a search box on Google’s web site, there are currently 40,800,000 matches available. If the search provider has a good search algorithm in their software, then the most relevant pages should be listed first. In my case, I’m a happy searcher, because after the Google Image samples, the first result listed is the Puppy Linux website, which is the only Puppy I would ever be searching for online. Most search providers keep track of what websites people will actually visit after doing a search. They then use the results to make sure those pages are closer to the top of the list for the next time someone searches for the same keyword(s).
Image search optimization is about using images on your website to draw more “click-throughs” from the search provider, thereby raising your rank in the search list. This, in turn, helps to ensure that you keep getting more visits to your site. A neat article I just found by typing “image search optimization” into Google Search is linked below.
