Rank in Search Engines

Rank in Search Engines

People like to write blogs usually because they have information that they to share with the public. The topic may be a hobby, a point of view, or advice on a certain set of skills. A lot of people monetize their blogs, meaning that they include select banner ads on their blog page with the intention of attracting clicks and earning a commission per click. So, a blog is only useful if a lot of people can benefit from it. For that to happen, they have to find it first. This article will offer some advice on how you can attract more visitors to your blog.

Banner Ads

A lot of people are using social media these days. They see this as an easy way to connect with their friends, family and colleagues. People use social media for personal and business purposes. Through social media, word can spread quickly on a topic that is of high interest because people share with their respective networks.

BloggeBloggingr

As a blogger, this is a golden opportunity for you to get the word out about your blog. Start by creating accounts on the popular social media platforms, like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others. When you set up your profile, the information you input should be consistent in each account. This helps your visitors make a mental connection with you regardless of which social media platform they are seeing you on. Include the link to your website or blog in your profile.

Business Purposes

For platforms like Facebook, write a good introduction about yourself. Tell your audience about your blog and what you hope to accomplish by it. Invite people to comment and to give feedback. Use this platform to pose about upcoming articles in your blog, and invite people to read it. This is how you start building a readership.

Engines

There are probably other bloggers out there who have the same interests as you. Reach out and connect with them. See if they are interested in setting up a reciprocal link relationship where you mutually link to each other’s blog. This benefits both of you in terms of boosting your site rank in search engines. It also exposes you to a greater base of readers.

Golden Opportunity

Make sure that you have expertise in the topic on which you are writing. Readers can tell when you are bluffing because they probably read about this topic in other sources as well. If you are providing factual information, verify the facts with your sources before you post them. Of course, people will have differences of opinion. However, you just have to be ready to defend your position based on verified facts. Always deal with every reader with respect and courtesy, especially when dealing with conflicting opinions. Readers will comment on each other’s opinions, and debate sometimes can heat up. Good debate is a actually beneficial to your blog. However, you have to be mindful of keeping the discussion civil among your readers.

High Interest

Following these tips will help you increase your readership. Try them out, and watch your readership grow.

What Is The Best Source For Webmaster Education And Search Engine Optimization Education That Is Affordable? I have a new website at
    http://www.specialhomeproducts.com
Check it out! I have many new home decor and office decor products, as well as great gift ideas for every special occasion….just need ideas as to how to market this without it costing an arm and a leg….am working on a limited budget. The idea is to MAKE money with it, NOT SPEND every dime I have just to get it marketed and ranked on the search engines. If anyone out there has resources for excellent internet marketing, that is reputable, NOT SCAMS, and is easy to understand for the beginner, let me know! I know amazon.com has several books you can get, such as “search engine optimization for dummies”, or “keywords for dummies”…may have to go with that for now, to save on my expenses…already put TOO much into this project to give up on it….getting several hits a day to the site, but still no significant sales….any help I can get out there would be greatly appreciated. debs3

You can do it for free no problem but it will require a little time on your part.

First you need to get two books from the library:

      Designing with Web Standards http://www.zeldman.com/dwws/

      Don’t make me think http://www.sensible.com/buythebook.html

Reading and understanding these two books alone will put you ahead of 99.9% of webdesigners.

Then you need to read a free, reliable and up to date SEO tutorial. There are only two of these on the web that are considered worth reading.

      http://www.seomoz.org/article/beginners-guide-to-search-engine-optimization

      http://www.seo-blog.com/tutorial.php

That’s it! Read, learn and implement.

You can write the articles yourself. Just write informative articles, about 300 to 500 words long, on some interesting topics related to your niche. Submit these articles to article directories like ezinearticles and goarticles

At the bottom of the article they will allow you to have a biobox in which you can add anchor text links to your websites

Hi, if you want to make your website rank higher in search engine you have to go for SEO.

      – The keywords you want to rank for, has millions of competitors. A better way is to start with small nuggets (keywords with tails or key phrases). This will help you in generating good quality traffic and then you can shift to more competitive keywords.

      – Home page is treated as the most important page of the website. Your homepage requires modification in terms of design as well as content.

      – There is a need to perform both onpage and off page optimization on the website for provided keywords. For example - currently there is no content on homepage. A couple of paragraph explaining your website with keyword stuffed in them will increase the traffic significantly.

      – Seeing on the other side, spamming or creating an unprofessional website can cause increase in bounce rate, and harm your numbers.

So, it is very important to discuss about your website in detail with SEO professionals or internet marketing consultants.

Here are some seo tips -> http://www.pagemodo.com/blog/seo-tips-facebook-timeline-fan-page/ Now if you want to see your google pagerank of your facebook fan page you can use the google toolbar or a chrome browser extension. I like pagerank status https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/pagerank-status/hbdkkfheckcdppiaiabobmennhijkknn One last bit of advice – use google + too! If you’re devoting time to social get over on g+. It might not have a ton of visitors, but it’s google’s social network and they factor that into their own algorithm. Good luck!

How Can I Get Higher Ranking In Google Search Engine? Please tell me how to be in first few pages of google search engine?

    View Comment
    1. Reply

The most effective way to advertise on the Internet is
to first set up a website and publish its domain name
on major search directories such as Google.com,
      Yahoo.com [at http://www.google.com/addurl/?…… and
MSN.com since 85% of Internet shoppers rely on these
search directories to provide them with goods and
services. In a sense, these search directories are a
      very large Internet Yellow Pages.

Nevertheless, should your website or opening webpage
fail to contain “generic” keywords, then anyone using
such “generic” queries will not be able to discover
your website. Your domain name [URL] of your website,
in a sense, will be invisible, undiscoverable.

You may want to consider some simple algorithms which,
when observed and committed in designing of a website
with placement of various critical metatags that can
surely achieve a high search engine presence and
increase Internet traffic to your website. These
metatag strategies work well with published webpages
      at Google and Yahoo.

Design: Should you create an extensive Flash-based
website, make sure to fill-in the property entries
such as the Title, Description and Keywords. Failing
to do so, leaves no hard HTML or ALT resource that can
be readily indexed by search robots. Also consider the
Internet audience and their incoming setup. For
example, if they are on analog/dialup, Flash webpages
take too long to load up and therefore analog users
will likely lose interest and discontinue entering the
Flash site. On the other hand, anyone on hi-speed DSL
lines, will welcome Flash pages which load quickly. So
before designing a pure Flash websitge, ask the simple
question, “Who’s my end user – is he on dialup or
DSL?” And if you had to choose between these two users
for maximum marketability, then select analog users
since 80% of most resident users are still analog
Internet subscribers and pure HTML designed webpages
      is best for them.

A non-Flash-based website which relies on hard text,
is far easier to be indexed by search robots. Limit
the use of stylized text saved as .gifs since as a
graphic, they are not indexable by search robots.

Avoid use of frames since any number of search robots
are unable to properly classify textual material.

      Placement of Metatags:

A ranking or search order does take place with Google
and Yahoo and it begins with the “Title” metag which
should consist of no more than 65 characters separated
by commas. The “Title” should describe in generic
terms, the goods and services, followed by a location
from which the resource is located, i.e., city, state.
The placement of a domain name which is not generic
within the “Title” is not appropriate, unless your
domain name is a major recognizable brand name.

The second metatag is the “Description” which is
usually 25-30 words to form a complete sentence which
best describes one’s goods and services.

And the very last category – “Keywords” are also
somewhat limited to 15-16 words which can be plural
and compound in nature. Again, avoid multiple entries
which could be mistaken as “spamdexed entries” which
is defined as the loading, and submission of
repetitive words into a particular metatag category.
“Spamdexing” when discovered on a webpage and reported
to Google’s spamreport.com can result in the
elimination of your website from their search
      directory.

      Good luck!

P.S. Here’s a search query which brings up some 17.6 million search results. And the no. 1 PR is a website using the above techniques. The query is [with removal of the quotes and spelling out Los Angeles; not L.A. which means Louisiana]: “sandwiches downtown los angeles.”

How Do I Rank Up My Picture On Search Engines? I want to get my picture into the top ten images for google images. How would I do this?

    View Comment
    1. Reply

If you get traffic to your site, search engines will index your webiste, and also it will take your keywords and give importance to your keyword. so traffic is the most important thing in internet,

      there are two things:
      1) one is traffic
      1) second is quality traffic

am talking about a website which has a 500 arround alexa traffic rank, and about 6/10 google’s page rank.

get a free back link from this site, get a lot of free traffic, in this site you get free credits, and with that you get free traffic.

      everything is free, http://www.trafficswarm.com/go.cgi?53747
just get some easy traffic, also first 50 credits will activate you account, and then you will get your 100 free credits, then on you get free credits, with that you get free traffic.
      Source(s):

get a disclaimer, privacy policy, terms and conditions, site maps, etc, these helps rankings,

also http://www.harmu.com for paid quality traffic, advertise on time basis, not on cost of clicks,

Hosting Website In Indian Server/IP Will Effect My Web Rank Or Search Engine Crawler? Web rank and traffic on website doesn’t depend on your hosting server. The main searching engine in present is Google obviously. Google has made some rules for defining rank of a web page. By following these rules Google decides. Nowhere it is written that hosting server matters in defining ranks.
so don’t worry. if you are having a amazing plan in Indian server. go through it .
and of course you can register any available domain name if you are finding any cheap one.
it won’t make any difference in page rank

google the page rank rules for getting the policy of Google

Search Engine Ranking Question? I’m with a company that was asked by one of its vendors to put a link on its page to boost their search engine ranking. While we would like to accomodate them, we don’t prefer to have their link visible to visitors to our site. Can we still make a link to their site, but hidden from view without breaking SEO rules? For example, could we make a page like http://www.blahblahblah.com/otherlinks.html and put their link on it, but not have this otherlinks.html page accessible via any of our pages? Would this still be picked up by search engines to boost the other companies site ranking?

    View Comment
    1. Reply

One way of course is to hide that link so visitors cannot see it. When we were still doing reciprocal linking, one of our requirements is that there must be a way from the homepage to reach their link pages just like ours because of this practice of hiding the links from the visitors. However, they may not mind and check if the page is accessible from anywhere on your site

While you’re at it (since you obviously do not want to link), why don’t you tell the search engines that you also don’t want the SEs to see the link. Search engines will see the page, unless you specifically instruct them not to read the page

You can put a content=”no index” in your metatag or rel=”nofollow” after the anchor link so search engines will not read that you actually created a link to that site. This is especially important now since the SEs especially Google has become strict on who you are linking to — and they prefer that you link only to those sites that are related to your site’s theme

The other company won’t get any benefit from the link to you – whether from your visitors or the search engines. But for the sake of vendor relations, you can tell them that you did indeed create a link to them – and hope that they won’t check your source code and see your nofollow or noindex tags

Your rank in a search engine depends on various factors, but majorly on the rank is based on the number of links from other websites to your web page.

Secondly, Every one thinks Google algorithm is a secret. By the way, Serge Brin and Larry Page them selves published a research paper informing about the technology in 1998, when Google was a prototype called as Back Rub. Here is the link:

We, Paige Pattersten said, have all heard the saying, “build a better mouse trap and they will come”. It’s a basic business principle that has guided people to success for generations in standard community based businesses. So why is it that on the Internet one person selling old outdated mouse traps can reap millions, while the guy with the new and improved mouse trap can walk away empty handed?

      New Numbers to Contend With

It all has to do with search engine placement. You see, while there may be untold millions if not billions of potential customers online, the fact that many people fail to fully grasp is that they may also be facing untold thousand if not millions of competitors also.

An Awful Long Walk to Isle 1,000,000

To get a picture in your head of how search engine placement works, simply imagine a huge store. Now, instead of this store being 100 feet long from front to back, it is 100 hundred miles long. Do you think that customers are going to walk 100 miles to get to your product showcase if you are 100 miles away in the back end of the store?

It’s Awful Lonely In the Back of the Search Engines

Of course not! So no matter how good your product or service is, it will simply gather dust as it sits unsold, while customers fill their baskets with lower quality products 100 miles away at the front of the store. That, my friend, is the best analogy of search engine placement that you can use.

Teach a Man to Fish and He Eats For Life

So if you are really serious about your online marketing and promotional campaign then you are going to have to become familiar with search engine placement improvement techniques so you can get your product or service relocated to the front of the online “store”.

Don’t get confused! We have Page Rank and we have Ranking. Ranking refers to the position of the website in the search engine results’ pages for a given keyword. Page rank on the other hand refers to the importance of the website’s pages (on an individual basis) to the search engine and could be ranked 0-10 where 10 refers to a very high authority website.

Not really. I have not seen anyone directly correlate pictures with higher search engine rankings

      BUT — with pictures:

      – users respond well to something visual, so having pictures on the blog may appeal to your audiences more
      – you get the chance to rank in Google IMAGES, assuming your pictures have the right ALT tags

I have seen some say, though, with Google’s update Panda that using totally wrong pictures for the blog post (e.g. a post on debt ceiling and your photo is a zebra) can be a reason to get slapped in this update

      UPDATE:

Google’s Images guidelines clearly state that http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=114016

“The page the image is on, and the content around the image (including any captions or image titles), provide search engines with important information about the subject matter of your image. For example, if you have a picture of a polar bear on a page about home-grown tomatoes, you’ll be sending a confused message to the search engines about the subject matter of polarbear.jpg.”

Google can “see” the context of the image you are using — it may not be Panda, but it is in the guidelines. And yes, some folks trying to explain why their sites were Pandalized raised this point (may be true or not — but read Google Images guidelines)
