When it comes to blogging, many beliefs just aren’t true. If you want to turn your blog into something really special, that means putting in the time and effort to find out the truth about the field. The more traffic you get, the more money you will make. The fact is that popular blogs will have better monetization opportunities than unpopular blogs, so they will be able to make more money per visitor. That said, they are popular, so they have that same steady traffic every day. Just because you have a spike in visitors one day doesn’t mean your income will go up that day! The fact is that you need steady popularity to be able to negotiate advertising contracts which offer a higher payout. If your traffic isn’t interested in your content, and doesn’t click your ads, you won’t get any money at all. On top of that, loyal visitors who trust you are more likely to buy through your ads, and that’s where the real money is to be made.

The longer the post, the more people will come to read it. Honestly, this truly doesn’t make sense at all if you consider the short attention span of most people online today. The length of your post honestly doesn’t matter – as long as the content is strong and you are able to say what you want to say, the post will be great. You need to provide unique content which offers a great point of view and interesting information to ensure that readers come back again and again.

If you don’t reply to every comment left on a blog post, your readers will leave. The fact is that wasting time replying to every single comment will just leave you out of time and tired. Instead, only reply to comments which require an answer. Most people who comment in a way which doesn’t ask a question are just sharing their opinion, and they won’t even check to see if you replied or not. As long as you focus most of your energy on supplying great content, you will find that people return time and time again. The readers will know you are trying hard to please them based on the quality of the content you offer them.

Business Purposes

The only way to monetize your blog is by selling ad space all over your site. The fact is that this can actually be the weakest way to build income from your blog. If you are relying on ads to make you money, you may not focus as much on building your site to be popular and well respected. There is no reason to even put ads on your site until you have a strong following. Ads need to be monitored, stats checked and income inspected, and that takes a lot of time. When you first start your blog, you should instead be focusing on promotion and content creation.

Golden Opportunity

These myths are perpetrated far and wide online, but now you know that they aren’t to be relied on. Thanks to this great knowledge, you’ll have no problem working on your blog in future. This will allow you to focus on changes which will make it as popular as you dreamed it could be.

    Uninterested Dog Or Short Attention Span? I checked the shelter today for a few dogs i found one i really like.
    when we went to the backyard to meet her sometime she would run up to me and play for a few second then run off to sniff and play around the yard then sometime she would come back again very breifly. she is a stray.

    Is she uninterested in me? the volunterr said its because she havent been outside for a while so shes jst hyper, etc. or does she have a short attention span? she woudl [play ball for a few sec then just wonders off.

    anyways if a dog isnt THAT interetsed during our visit would it get more interested later on? or would it just be independent forever?
    i know alot of dogs varies but i just want to hear some opinion, i really like it. but if its not for me I think its best I look into another one.

      I currently volenteer for a few rescue organizations, the ASPCA, Animal Care and Control, and the Humane Society.

      When a dog is brought in, it lives in a 6×9 kennel, if it’s lucky. Sometimes it’s smaller.

      If there is enough volenteers for the day, it will be walked, or taken out. If there isn’t? It will sit in that 6×9 kennel, all day. Everyday.

      Being let outside is something it absolutely loves. And can’t get enough of. Not to mention the smell of all the other dogs, yum!

      If the dog is a breed that is known for a short attention span, such as a Jack Russel, or a boxer. That may be it. Uninterested? No. Never.

      The dog you choose will definitly warm up to you once you bring it home, and it gets USED to your home, how it smells, how everyone acts. It will be loyal, because that’s what dogs are famous for. Being our best friends.

    Why Do I Have Such A Short Attention Span? When the teachers talking I can listen for about ten second before disconnecting, Im trying my best but I cant help it, why cant I pay attention?

      ADD (attention defecate disorder) VERY common (i have it as well), you can take a subscription medication to help just talk to ur Doctor.

      Yes, actually… there’s quite a bit you can do. And doing that is really important to many aspects of your life.

      The ability to focus your mind is like a muscle in many ways — if it isn’t exercised, it tends to become weak. There’s a near explosion of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) among both children and adults today… a predictable consequence of the sheer rate of change in modern times and the widespread presence of multiple sources of mental stimulation: 500 channels of television, magazines, books, video games, stress from work, life challenges, and of course the Big Kahuna of ADD: the Internet.

      None of these stimulation sources are good or bad in and of themselves, but their omnipresence in our lives produces new challenges for the mind: a human mind simply cannot drink deeply from a “firehose” of stimulation, information, entertainment, and distractions. It saturates quickly and loses its sensitivity, it’s ability to create and imagine, it’s capacity for subtlety and multi-perspectival thinking.

      Our emotional, mental, social, and spiritual development all depend heavily on being able to slow down and “absorb and integrate” our experience. Our experience is sort of like firewood: in order to make use of it, we have to burn it up. “Burning it up” means paying attention to it, experiencing it, BEING with it — feeling the feelings and being aware of the thoughts, noticing connections, sensing subtle relationships.

      This “fire of awareness” is the natural capacity of the mind to be present in the moment and flow forward with the movement of time. When we do this, a natural kind of absorption and integration occurs, in which we learn from our experiences and synthesize ever-greater “wholes” out of the random pieces and bits remembered, thought, and felt. This process takes time, and most importantly, it takes attention.

      So how does one develop this muscle of attention? With lots of time and effort, spent in the right kind of exercise. (Sorry, there are no shortcuts.) All approaches that work depend on repetitively interrupting the tendency to get “lost in thought”. “Awareness practice” is the proper name for these approaches — meditation being the most well-known variation. Typically the student is instructed to sit still and upright (on a cushion, or a chair) and attend to their breath: just the simple in and out of air in the lungs or through the nose, etc. Just sit there, and be aware — don’t get lost in thought: if thoughts arise, just acknowledge them and then return your attention to your breath. If you find yourself lost in thought, just acknowledge that, notice what the thoughts are, and then return to the breath.

      This sounds really simple. And in a way, it is. But it’s devilishly difficult to do — because that muscle of attention is very weak for most of us. Almost any thought that arises is more tempting and attractive than following our own breath in and out… and like a junkie sighting his favorite dealer, the attention will be automatically drawn toward the stimulation. So just like building a physical muscle, mastery only comes with ongoing and regular practice.

      I usually recommend that people start with 5 minutes a day and work up to 30 minutes a day — 30 minutes of “time out” to allow the mind to integrate a whole day’s worth of inattention and distraction. Even that isn’t really adequate to burn it all up, but it does make a big difference over a sustained period. After a few months of daily practice, it’s common for people to start noticing changes which are obviously attributable to their meditation practice — sudden insights that seem to come out of nowhere, a deeper ability to relax and enjoy life, heightened sensory awareness, etc.

      If practice persists for a number of years, profound transformations begin to occur in your personality, worldview, and values. These transformations are not the result of being “taught” something by some teacher (although a teacher is helpful), nor are they the result of learning some new ideas. They’re the result of your own mind discovering and integrating the fragments of knowledge which it didn’t even realize were already on hand. It’s the deepening of one’s own self-understanding, which pulls in everything one has learned about life in the process.

      Here’s how I like to think of it: consider that your assignment is to sit quietly for 30 minutes and just be satisfied with the moment, without getting lost in thought. It’s really quite pleasant when you can do that. Of course, most of us CAN’T do that, and that’s the whole point — whatever beliefs, attitudes, or mental habits are preventing you from just sitting there quietly and being satisfied are the same things that are preventing you from experiencing life as whole, complete, and satisfying.     Verbally Aggressive, Lack Of Memory, Short Attention Span? What symptoms are these about?
    Just a looser or are those signs of an underline problem? Bare in mind I also notice he would get up and drink at night, not a lot but almost every night.
    I left, just could not cope with the misery, I am just trying to understand whether I left an idiot or someone with some real issues.thanks

      You left someone with a short attention span, short memory who was verbally aggressive. They’re not combined symptoms of anything, other than mild personality disorders (or whatever). That is my answer in accordance with yahoos tos, I hope you like it

    Short Attention Span? I have a short attension span and it is making me fail school, i’m in year 11 and i am failing half my subjects and my get asked to leave the school. can someone please help me with what i can do to get over this :/

      I have the same problem bro.
      you might want to talk about getting adderall or something, if it’s affecting you that much. talk to your parents, you very well could have adhd.
      other tips:
      some people say that putting a rubber band on your wrist and snapping it when you get distracted can help. that way you start to be able to recognize right when you get distracted, and you may be able to stop it.
      another thing to do is pay attention to everything that goes on in close detail. if you have to, voice things over in your head so you can realize whats going on. [for instance, in your head you say ‘im walking to the living room there’s my cat on the floor and i walked past him through the doorway” etc.

    Will My Baby’s ExerSaucer Give Him A Short Attention Span? I recently picked up a sun-faded ExerSaucer for my 7 month old so I would have something to entertain him with if I were in the yard hanging laundry or if I was simply too tired to chase him around constantly as he is crawling and cruising.

    My husband told me today that he is hesitant to put the baby in the ExerSaucer because he feels that the “dozen shiny things” will foster a short attention span. I’m pretty sure that’s ridiculous but wanted to get other opinions.

      Actually, the ExerSaucer is good for him. All those toys are made colorful and shiny to attract his attention so he’ll be interested in using them. The more he plays with them, the more his skills will improve, such as eye hand coordination and what not. Him learning what each toy does, how to use them is helping him develop, learn and grow, not give him a short attention span. If he has a short attention span when he gets older, then its just part of who he is, a lot of kids have one, and grows out of it as they gets older, but that goes with their age sometimes, not because of they toys they have as a baby.
