Life, the Internet, and Everything!

Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of new blogs that start up every single day on the Internet. It’s exciting that literally anyone with an Internet connection can create a blog, but at the same time that makes it tougher to stand out with so much competition out there. Increase your chances at running a more successful blog by making sure you don’t make common mistakes that many new bloggers make.

Banner Ads

The biggest and probably most common mistake that bloggers make is just letting their blog rot away. Many people will start a blog and then just forget about it in a week or two, especially now that creating a blog can be free. You won’t get dedicated visitors to your website if you stop creating new content. In order to keep people interested you must give them reasons to keep coming back and you must stay up to date.

Many bloggers do not utilize search engine optimization. Search engine optimization is when you use some tricks to make your blog appear higher on search engine results. You can do this by thinking up keywords that people would search for in order to land on a website like yours and then targeting those keywords. Another option is to use back links; this means getting other websites to link to you. Search engines will detect when other sites link to you and then “reward” your website by ranking you higher up in their rankings since they will thenBlogging deem you to be more important.

Business Purposes

Some bloggers seem to think that using an obscure font or a font that is really fancy will make their website stand out more. The truth is that people really do not care how pretty the font is that you’re using; in fact, most people would prefer that you just use something that is standard and easy for them to read. In addition to this, not everyone will have support on their computer for the fancy font that you want to use. This means you would either have to annoy your visitors by asking them to download it just to read your content or the formatting will be messed up since they will be seeing a different font instead.

A way that some blogs pretty much drive away their entire viewership is by plagiarizing. If you post content that came from somewhere else or even if you paraphrase something that you saw somewhere else, you absolutely must give that source some credit. If someone comes along and points out that you ripped it off from a different blog or website, then your blog’s reputation will be completely ruined. Don’t think that you can just steal something off of the Internet because it’s the Internet. It’s important to understand plagiarism still exists.

Golden Opportunity

Don’t repeat the same mistakes that others have made if you really want your blog to be a success. You’ll make sure that you are off to a good start by avoiding everything mentioned in the above article.

How Do I Learn SEO (search Engine Optimization) Copywriting? I’m a mostly-traditional advertising copywriter hoping to expand my digital horizons and am looking to learn SEO (search engine optimization) copywriting. I live in NYC, and I’d rather take an actual class at a location than an online course. Anyone have any good suggestions? Thanks.

      I was in your position just a few months ago and am in the process of starting my own SEO company. I have actually learned a lot just by searching around the internet, you will notice that several names begin to pop up more often than not. Whether you find a good class to attend or an online course you should routinely check out;
and I also find good info on < ---- Has a course coming up. Brian Horn is also a good person follow for SEO info. You can find out about the course by going to their page, here is a link as well:

That should be a good course on total SEO/SEM. I am considering going.

But, if you are just looking to learn about the copywriting aspect you will probably find a huge variance on what is the best way to go and I believe that first and foremost you should just write for your target market. After all, if no one likes your site and hates your copy, then a first page ranking really doesn’t matter.

The key really is to pay attention to the keywords you are optimizing for and write about that topic or subject and be sure to include the keyword a couple of times in the actual text.

I hope this answers your question or is at least something you can use. Let us know what class you find and if it turns out to be a good one.

About Search Engines? Is there a search engine that will actually go where it is you want to go WITHOUT REDIRECTING to all over creation? If not is there a way to turn off redirecting?

It is not your browser or the search engine causing these redirects, I would suggest that your system is actually infected with a virus, known as the “Search Redirect Virus”. This is a particularly annoying virus that can hide itself from your anti virus.

It does this in the way it infects your system. Instead of installing software or running a process designed to harm your system, which your anti virus can easily remove, this Redirect Virus manages to infect a system file. This allows it to continue the redirects but at the same time hide from your anti virus.

The system file it infects is one associated with handling redirect requests. Such requests are made every time you click a search result link on any major search engine. This is a typical process but it somewhat manipulated by the virus to take you to other sites, usually advertisements which make the hacker money.

The best way to remove this virus would be to use a program called ComboFix. This is excellent at dealing with the source of the problem and has not let me down the many times I have used it. You will need a tutorial, of which you can find here:

Order Of Internet Search Engine Results? On friday I typed a word into Google and found a web site – it was the 6th link that was showed. Today when I typed in the same word into Google, the same website ranked 3rd in the results. Does this happen often, and if so, why?

Google (and other search engines) are constantly scanning the Web to check what links to what, so they can determine how to rank their results.

The essential magic of Google (from the very start) is the notion that “good pages link to good pages”, so if you have a webpage, and you link to someone else about “turbocharged engines”, then Google’s search engine thinks you trust that site, so it will rank that site higher.

This strategy encouraged unscrupulous individuals to try to “game” the system by creating fake sites that all point to one master site, which then floats up to the top of the SERPs (search engine result pages). It’s a dirty trick, but so common that even Google hasn’t figure out how to filter out all the spam.

Since new sites are constantly coming and going, Google’s “robot” (the ‘Googlebot’) crawls around the Web, noticing changes, and updating it’s internal list of rankings. What you see when you search is a list of rankings that correspond to your keywords, which are affected by these sites creating or destroying links.

      What is Search Engine ?

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via “natural” (“organic” or “algorithmic”) search results for targeted keywords. Usually, the earlier a site is presented in the search results or the higher it “ranks”, the more searchers will visit that site. SEO can also target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, and industry-specific vertical search engines.

As a marketing strategy for increasing a site’s relevance, SEO considers how search algorithms work and what people search for. SEO efforts may involve a site’s coding, presentation, and structure, as well as fixing problems that could prevent search engine indexing programs from fully spidering a site. Other, more noticeable efforts may include adding unique content to a site, ensuring that content is easily indexed by search engine robots, and making the site more appealing to users. Another class of techniques, known as black hat SEO or spamdexing, use methods such as link farms and keyword stuffing that tend to harm search engine user experience. Search engines look for sites that employ these techniques and may remove them from their indices.

      How search engines work ?

Search engines provide an interface to a group of items that enables users to specify criteria about an item of interest and have the engine find the matching items. The criteria are referred to as a search query. In the case of text search engines, the search query is typically expressed as a set of words that identify the desired concept that one or more documents may contain[1]. There are several styles of search query syntax that vary in strictness. It can also switch names within the search engines from previous sites. Whereas some text search engines require users to enter two or three words separated by white space, other search engines may enable users to specify entire documents, pictures, sounds, and various forms of natural language. Some search engines apply improvements to search queries to increase the likelihood of providing a quality set of items through a process known as query expansion.
