One of the cardinal rules of blogging is that you simply must be enthusiastic about and have a passion for the topic of your blog. If you are indifferent about the subject of your blogging, that fact will soon become apparent to your readers and it will turn them off. They key is to present yourself as an authority on your topic, and unless you have a burning interest in it, that will prove quite difficult. Therefore, stick with the things you truly love when it comes time to start your blog.

Blogger

While it is certainly important to convey a feeling of authority and expertise in your blog, it is also vital not to write in a manner that is so stilted and affected that it will drive away your readership. The best thing to do is to work on striking a balance between providing truly informative and helpful information and maintaining a voice and tone that is accessible to all. If you are able to achieve that mix, your blog stands a good chance of taking off with a wide audience. >

Controversy and debate should not be avoided when blogging, but rather should be used to generate additional interest in your posts. Stirring the pot with contentious postings can be a great way to attract traffic and get people talking. You do not need to blog just for the purpose of being inflammatory, but there is no harm in introducing topics you know will be hotly discussed by your readership.

Business Purposes

Make a real effort to establish relationships with other bloggers within your niche who already have a robust readership. You can do this by commenting on their post or contacting them directly when you have a question or need some advice. If things go well, and you make some real allies, go a step further and see if these fellow bloggers might be willing to link to your site from theirs. This will help expand your readership and attract quality new followers.

Finally, once you have succeeded in drawing visitors to your blog and dazzled them with your interesting, authoritative content, see if they would be willing to become a subscriber to your site. Gather their contact information, but do not use it for any purpose to which they have not consented. Provide subscribers with fresh content regularly to keep their interest, and your blog will only increase in popularity as time goes on.

What Do You Want To See In Your Local Or National Newspaper? Newspaper readership is going down; what would you personally like to see in your newspaper, or even the website of a publication?

I want concise and well-written news on the world, national, state and local levels. I also demand editorials that make sense and a good sports section. Above all, the facts in all the stories should be as accurate as possible. Good photography also is a plus.

What Is The Readership Of Soldier Of Fortune Magazine? I’m curious if anyone knows the readership of the magazine “Soldier of Fortune.” Some poking around their site and Googling hasn’t turned up anything.

If you could quote a source, that’d be great. Thanks ?

You would analyze the responses to the readership survey, breaking them down statistically. It should include tables and graphs displaying the results.

There's a war going on in the blogosphere … a war about taking control of the blogosphere by several blogging platforms …. Blogger and WordPress ( which you are asking about ) are the greatest opponent on this war …

      Here's a comparison scale:

      1) Ease of Set-up And Use
it's much easier to set-up a blog with Blogspot.com and get your own Bloggger account. You can be done in 10 minutes flat. Once you're set-up you can start posting immediately. If you want to add a designer's touch to your blog, there are also tons of blogger templates available for free.

Installing WordPress however can be a major headache if you don't know what you're doing. Since you're going to host it on your own account, you'll need to download the installation files, upload them to your server, set-up a database, and run the configuration script.

      2) Customization & Advanced Use
Blogger doesn't allow categories. You can't sort your articles into different focuses, unless you know how to hack the platform. With WordPress, not only can you add categories, you can also display each category differently on your main page. In fact with the correct plugins you can even turn your WordPress into a magazine-like portal.

With WordPress however, the sky is the limit. As cliche as that may sound, not only can you get themes, additional "plugins" and advanced tools, you can also extend WordPress to far beyond just a blogging platform.

      4) Search Engine Optimization and Traffic
There's this propaganda that since Google owns Blogger, they tend to favor Blogger accounts. this is not illogical … and maybe not true …
a lot of are getting indexed fast and ranking high in search engines from both WordPress and Blogger users. As long as the content is good, the spiders will come.

      5) Money-Making Potential
There's no doubt that it's easier to get started with Google Adsense if you have a Blogger account. In fact you can now apply for Adsense from within a Blogger account. Not entirely surprising considering the fact that both are owned by the same company.

With WordPress, it can get tricky. The default installation is not enough. You'll need a couple of plugins and even a better theme to really maximize the Adsense potential. However, this seems to be getting easier and there's even "Adsense revenue sharing" plugins around that allow you to share ad revenue with other contributors and writers for your blog.

When you start using WordPress to build your Adsense websites, you'll soon discover what I mean. It's something you need to experience for yourself. I can tell you one thing though - when you go WordPress, you don't go back.

      I am a blogger ^^ and I am using both …
but I highly recommend BLOGGER for newbies …

      I hope I helped ?

Blogger Or WordPress? I don’t know which one to decide. Blogger searches better on google, but wordpress has better templates/themes. I find the templates in blogger really boring and confusing.

First: Anyone Blogger or WordPress, google doesn’t have any discrimination between them.

Next: Blogger templates are boring but you are always free to apply any external template from websites like btemplates.com allblogtools.com (just search “blogger templates” in google)
Also there are wordpress templates available for Blogger on such sites. You can download them & install by going to Blogger Dashboard–>Template–>Backup/Restore

And if your blog goes up in the traffic, you can also apply for ads & earn some bucks(as pocketmoney :p) but WordPress won’t allow you to do so.

There are many other reasons why WordPress.com made me shift to Blogger. I can’t list all of them here. but this ads factor is one of them.

Question About Blogger? How can i add a new post to my new tab in blogger?

    View Comment
    1. Reply

Tabs in Blogger are tied to Pages, not Posts. Pages unfortunately don’t have anything but a single post allowed – they’re meant to be static. It is only in general posts that you can have multiple.

If you’re adept at modifying templates you could try to modify the HTML links in tabs to point to a Label — which are a grouping of Posts. I know it is possible – I’ve done it myself. Then when you add a post with that label it would appear when you clicked on the tab (as well as in the main blog).

Blogger is a blogger builder and hosting site that is free of use.But there are a few programs you can use to place ads on your blog.Such as google adsense and google affiliates and affiliate sites or amazon.com blogger does not send a check the ones that send the check are the advertiser companies or affiliate company’s.

Hope I helped at least a little.
