Brainstorm

You must make your blog about interaction. Sure, your readers are coming to read your posts. But, they want to see all kinds of interaction. Give them something to download that you know they will like. Or, post a poll to ask them for their opinion. Have them share pictures or post things that they share with you. There are so many ways to make this happen. Most definitely use social media to create interaction on your blog. People can share your content on social media sites, and this is what many people like to do.

Brainstorm Ideas

Be sure that you’re proofreading your blog entries. If you’re posting content that contains many grammatical mistakes or misspellings, then this isn’t going to make you an authority within your niche. So, be sure that you’re coming across to your readers in a professional way.

Business Purposes

Be sure you’re utilizing all the tools that are available on your blogging platform. Learn what you can do with each one. Also, have you thought about monetizing your blog? There are many affiliate marketing programs out there that just might work for you.

How Do You Shorten Your Posts In Blogger On The Front Page? Hi, I’ve tried to shorten my posts for the front page on Blogger so that it can be shorter but I can’t seem to do that. This causes the main page to be long. Is there anyway to fix this? Thanks.

In the new Blogger, you can now easily shorten your posts as you see fit and add the "read more" link without messing around with html. Move your cursor to the line you want to separate while typing your post and simply choose "Insert jump break" from the editor menu.

Remember that this function will only work in the compose mode, not under the html tab.
It's the simplest, safest and fastest way to shorten your posts as and where you want to!

      hope it helps

You are the only one that can figure that out. You need to think about an unmet need that is also something you like to do, complete a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis and write a business plan to prove that the business idea is viable. Go to http://sba.gov/smallbusinessplanner/plan/writeabusinessplan/index.html or http://www.score.org/template_gallery.html for instructions on how to write a business plan and sample business plans.

First, just imagine an interesting character you’d like to write about, then start asking questions

“What if this or that happened to your character?”
      How would he/she react?
How would it affect the people around him/her? etc.

Conflict is the driving force of any good story, so imagine how your character would react to multiple difficult situations and pretty soon, the ideas will begin to come.

That’s what works for me anyway.

What Is A Fun, Noticeable Idea For Advertising Pizza? I’m a manager at a pizza place that opened a few months back and I’m brainstorming ideas to get our restaurant noticed! Its also a bit of a retro video arcade and very italian. Suggestions would be great!

I think the best way to figure this out is not focusing on the pizza, but on the specific people you want coming to eat the pizza. What do I mean? Well, different people have different needs when they are wanting to get anything, including something to eat.

Let’s say you decide to advertise for lunch. Well, lunch is a specific group of people. Also, let’s say that you want to speak to their need that they need a quick lunch.

So 1. They’re hungry and 2. They are booked for time. You could advertise something describing this: Hungry today for a quick tasty slice of pizza? We will help you enjoy a great lunch and be back to work comfortably on time.

So think about specifically what group you want to advertise to. What group would you make the most money with? Maybe with the video arcade, you are marketing to younger people. Sell them on the idea of having a fun experience while eating their favorite food.

These are a couple ideas. Hope this helps.

Ideas On How To Write My Loneliness Piece? I have to write a lonlieness piece for creative writing in any style. I was thinking poem, but I didn’t know what it should be about, like myself, or nature as symbolism, i need some brainstorm ideas, please?

      Ok
When you think of lonely what plant do you think of.
write a simile using it ( describe what makes that plant lonely and connect it to you in some way)
for ex does the plant have one leaf…. does it grow in a bush or on the ground individually.
And to connect it to yourself you can say something like :
just like a sunflower with one leaf
am I, with only one person I can say I’m connected to,
just one friend i can call true
……blah blah blah, mine sux but you get the point.

use other things, for ex: color, songs, food even….

What’s The Most Effective Way To Brainstorm Ideas? I want to write a novel… maybe not a novel, but I’d just like to write a story in which I can put my characters. What’s the most effective way to brainstorm my ideas and craft them into a story?

On average, the best storytellers are in their mid-30s to late 40s. The reason for this is they’ve lived enough of life to be able to write a story that provides a deep interpretation of life, that says, “life is like this!”.

But there are many other writers who don’t fit into that age-group who write powerful stories.

To get started, there’s one book I recommend for writers: “Story” by Robert McKee. There’s a reason why it’s used as a textbook in colleges that still have classes that teach how to write a story (creative writing classes don’t teach storytelling, unfortunately).

Read a lot of your favorite genre. This is how many writers such as Stephen King maximized his craft.

Of course write as well, but like a painter who can paint, he still goes to art school to maximize his craft, so you too should take advantage of the book above and visit websites with articles such as http://www.storyentertainment.com and http://www.nanowrimo.org to maximize your writing talent.

      Some more points:

A story, whether it’s a novel, short story, or screenplay, is started with some of the following:

      1) Premise
This is when you ask, “What would happen if?” Anything can get you started with it. The author of “Lord of the Rings” started his when he wrote about a hole in the ground on a piece of paper. He had no clue what it meant, he simply wrote it. Then he started asking “what would happen if…” something lived in it? Then it grew into “The Hobbit” and “Lord of the Rings”. Brainstorm, read the news, and start asking what if questions to develop the premise of your story.

      2) Setting
You can set your story anywhere, on Mars, in the past on Earth, in the future on a starship, anywhere. Even thinking about the setting can help you to develop the premise.

      3) Multiple Characters
Almost all stories contain multiple characters to play off of the values of the others. Start thinking about characters and what they want and this will also help you to develop your story. Ask lots of “what would happen if?”

      4) Inciting Incident
This is where you story begins that turns your story’s world upside-down and forces your character to set it straight. Then your character will begin a quest to reach an object of desire. Thinking about an inciting incident can also be your premise: “What would happen if a shark ate someone and the partially-eaten body ends up on the beach?” Jaws.

Can Anyone Help Me Brainstorm On Ideas To Writing A Certain Story?
Ok I’m suppose to write a cliff hanger which is a story that ends at an exciting point and teases the reader to discover the conclusion. What should this story be about? Can anybody help me brainstorm?

Well, ray Bradbury says he just lists a series of nouns, and once he’s done brainstorming, he picks one out of the list and sees where it takes him. Ex: The Ravine, the Skeleton, the Carnival. All of these eventually became titles and inspiration for some of his most famous stories.

David Morrell (man who created Rambo) has a written conversation w/ himself. that’s how he eliminates writer’s block.
He also writes that the only thing u need for a story is conflict. His formula is “plot= conflict + motivation”. that’s all there is to it. Someone has a desire–doesn’t matter how trivial–and someone or something else tries to stop them from achieving it.

It’s just that simple. a man wanting to paint a house can be as compelling as a woman wanting to be the first astronaut to land on Mars so long as you dramatize how important the goal is to that person.

most other good stories start w/ a secret that someone is trying to not reveal. think up a secret that someone told you, fictionalize it, then write about it. change any telling characteristics, of course. or just come up w/ something that if it happened to you, you would want to keep secret

Can Somebody Please Help Me Brainstorm Ideas For A Memorial Tattoo? It’s for my brother who commited suicide when I was young, it’s always haunted me even though I was so young when it happened. Anyways I want to dedicate a memorial tattoo to him when I turn 18 this summer. Problem is, I can’t think of anything! I was thinking of the common cross with a banner around it with his name or something, but that seems so unoriginal. Creativity is not my strong point so any ideas would help a lot.

You can let someone draw the design you have in mind at http://www.sketchmytattoo.com/. They can also offer suggestions and ideas to provide you a great memorial tattoo.

A phoenix tattoo is also suitable. It symbolizes growth, rebirth, drastic or dramatic things that have changed your life in an amazing way.

Look up a game called Champions; it was one of the very first superhero role-playing games, and still the best.

The character creation process doesn’t just depend on randomly rolling dice. It covers motives, appearance, powers, weaknesses, psychological issues, family, everything a hero needs.

Then start to mix and match. Put incongruous elements together. Don’t be afraid to get weird.

I have confidence in you that you will come up with great ideas!

Ideas For Diary? I’m making a short diary (6 pages) and need some ideas for what to make it about. I’m also going to include a few pictures so please keep the idea simple.

Maybe brainstorm some ideas before hand to help you get started. You could give yourself some topics like:
If I won the lottery tomorrow I would..
The best day I ever had…
      My mom makes the best…
      My friends make me feel…

A diary is all about self expression AND self exploration. It’s to help you get to know YOU better. Write things that do that. Work out feelings you are having. If you aren’t comfortable really opening up for your teachers keep it superficial like the suggestions I wrote.

      Good luck!

Can Someone Help Me Brainstorm Ideas For My Art Project? The title of the project is “Inside, Outside, Inbetween” and from that I had to come up with something to base my project on. I came up with the idea of the black plague from victorian times and made a plague doctor mask, took photo’s, sketched them etc etc…

But I don’t know where to go from there. I can’t keep drawing plague doctor masks for the whole project, I need to think of something else but I’m lost. I’ve thought of medicine bottles which I might end up doing but I need something else, like faces but it’s hard to tie it into the project I think.

Please help! Idea’s and artist recommendations are helpful! ?

      Inside outside inbetween.. mmmm..

I was thinking the black plague, back in the tudor times people use to put a red cross on doors of people suffering from the black death.. (outside)
you could carry this further by looking at things behind closed doors.
i remember reading somewhere many robbers use to write code symbols on doors to let others ans themselves know whether it is a good house to burgle. ( long time ago) This included symbols meaning “dog lives here” – you could carry that on and look at symbols

if you don’t like that idea you could look at the body (outside) and soul (inside) or difference between earth, limbo and beyond. because a lot of people died during the plague.
this could leave questions. Where did the bodies go? Do they have souls, where did their souls go?
this is taking a more gothic england approach. A good well known rhyme would be good for that. “ring a ring a roses” which is about the plague. Sneeze was a sign of the plague. That is why we say bless you when someone sneezes. coming from the saying “God bless you and all your family.”

Otherwise you could always to hospital approach, looking at difference between hosptials then and now.

Also the understanding of bacteria. Klari Reis artist i have recently looked at looks at hypochrondria and bases her artwork on biology cells and bacteria she could be of interest to you. Bacteria is found inside, outside and inbetween ?

Wish you the luck ? I am guessing this could be GCSE or A – level ?

Ideas!?!?!? Hi, I enjoy making web sites and all. But I have no idea what to make a web site on! I’m stuck! I like sports like golf, baseball, and football. I also like computers and games. I’d like it to have either advertisements or just be a business. It doesn’t have to be.

I know HTML and CSS, so anything w/ databases would probably be out of the question (??), unless you have some good tutorials.

    Any ideas to help brainstorm?
    Let me rephrase the question:
I need web site ideas…I know how to get hosting and domains and everything (www.1and1.com). I just need ideas, but thanks.

Take a sheet of paper and write down 3-10 ideas that you have for sites.

Start brainstorming the keywords that are related to those topics to find a way to ‘spin’ your site concept. Golf, baseball and football are too broad of a topic. What is it about golf that you know and are an expert in? Know all of the golf courses in your area or Hawaii? Create a site that reviews them. Know about coaching high school sports – write a site about that.

To research keywords you want to find a keyword phrase that will have a high demand (lots of people looking for it) and low supply (no one out there doing it or doing it badly which there are tons of those out there)

Use this keyword research tool that I use and recommend.

What Are Some Good Brainstorming / Idea Programs (preferably Tailored Towards Writers)? A few friends and I write comic books. No, nothing professional, it’s really just a hobby. Since I can’t even draw a straight line, I’m the writer. So, here’s my question:

Does anyone here know any programs that facilitate the writing process? It’d be a plus if they targeted comic book writing. I’m not looking in any way for something as pedestrian as ‘Comic Book Creator’, but an actual writing tool.

Being a starving student who does this with friends to burn time, I really can’t fork over any money for this. If all the applications are shareware, I’ll have to look for other alternatives (read: adding to my already unwieldy stacks of paper. I wouldn’t be completely adverse to a torrent, and to be honest if I did torrent it I would undoubtedly buy the program later to support the company).

    Thanks!

The best way to brainstorm is with a plain old black and white marble notebook and a pen. Fill it up with ideas. Anything – no matter how silly they sound. Drawings, maps, even cut out articles from newspapers and magazines and paste them in. Sit at the mall and write descriptions of crazy and different people you see. Just fill it with ideas. When it’s full, sit down with it and a couple different color markers. Cross out any ideas you wrote when you were completely delirious and not responsible for your actions. Then try to write some short stories based on some of the better ideas. Try to piece the ideas together – maybe two or three ideas can add up to one story. Then when you have a bunch of stories, see if there is anything there that lends itself to a longer work. You might be very surprised. There is a much more direct correlation between the hand and the paper than there is between the hand and the computer screen. Many successful authors like Nelson De Mille still write longhand. Save the money you would spend on the magical computer programs. A notebook from the dollar store is the best brainstorming tool in the world.

Careful or you may wind up in my next novel.

I do a lot of reading of industry magazines, newspapers, online sites, and press releases.

Once I have an inkling of an idea, I dig deeper in that related field, then I have 6-7 people I pitch ideas at as I sketch out ideas and what not on the whiteboard.

I found a site online that is working for me. It is jewelry sales, but you can do it anyway you want. You can set up jewelry parties, dropship online, do ebay, set up your own website… tons of things. I like to do ebay, as I can do it from home. If I set up 10 auctions in an hour, which I can pretty easily do… I can make a good profit, especially compared to the carwash idea… and I don’t have to travel. Check out my blog in it, and it will link you to the site. http://resellers-jewelry-source.blogspot.com

      Good luck,
