Relevant Images

Blogging has become a very popular way for people to write and share about their topics of interest. People blog because they want the world to know what is important to them. A blog can be your opinion on a certain issue. It can be tips and tricks on doing something. It can be just entertainment for your readers. Blogging provides you with a creative outlet for your thoughts and a way for you to connect with other people of the same interests. A successful blog attracts readers consistently. If you want to increase your reader base of your blog, this article can help you get started.

Banner Ads

Your blog’s title sits prominently on top of your page. Make it catchy to peak your readers’ interest. Your blog title is also something that search engines place weight on when they rank sites for relevance. So, try to use a couple of smart keywords that are the most relevant to your blog.

BloggeBloggingr

People like to read blogs because they want new information. It is like buying a new issue of a favorite magazine. So, providing fresh content regularly is very important in keeping your current reader base and attracting new readers. When you post new content on a schedule, your readers will have something to look forward to. You can offer to send email alerts to your readers whenever you publish a new post. This way, they will not miss anything.

Business Purposes

Make your blog visually interesting by adding relevant images. Be careful not to overdo it, however, and keep your image file size low so your blog page will still load quickly. The images you use should emphasize on a point that you are making. Images can improve clarity of what you are trying to convey.

Golden Opportunity

Once in a while, run a contest or a giveaway of something relevant. This will keep your current readers coming back. In addition, your readers may be motivated to spread the news to their family and friends. You can gain more readers this way.

High Interest

Make sure that you are writing on a subject which you have great interest or expertise. This is what people are looking for when they read blogs. They want to learn from someone who knows what he is talking about. Readers go to many resources for information, and your blog may be just one out of many that they visit. Therefore, it important that you give out correct information. If your blog is full of erroneous information, your readers will debunk you and you will lose credibility. You may even see bad reviews on the web about your blog.

Images

Always welcome feedback from your readers, and encourage discussion among them. When one reader offers an opinion, it can spark a debate. Lively debates are a good thing for blogs. However, sometimes the conversation can get heated. Just make sure that your readers show respect to their fellow readers without personal attacks or insults. If a reader consistently offends others and exhibit rude behavior, you have the power to ban him.

Link Relationship

Blogging can be a fun way for you to share your interests. Try some of these tips to gain more visitors to your blog.

How Do You Get Pics And Vids On Google, Bing, Exc…? You know like, bing pics or vids on a search.

To upload images onto Google Image Search your image must be placed on a website or blog with relevant keywords. Google is a search engine and it searches websites and blogs to identify images it can upload to Google Images. No one is allowed to upload their images directly to Google Images since Google controls what and when images are loaded. To encourage Google to upload your images, you can submit the website or blog using the Google Add URL link.

      Instructions
      1. Launch your HTML editor, like Notepad or Dreamweaver, or start a free blog on Blogger or WordPress. See the “Resources” section of this article for links to free blogging sites.

      2. Place your images and relevant keywords on your website using free FTP software if you use Notepad, or using the FTP feature in Dreamweaver. See “Resources” if you need to download some free FTP software to do this. If you are using a blog, use the “Add Image” tool provided in Blogger or WordPress and make sure the “Tags” and text related to the images contain the relevant keywords. When the Google search engine uses your relevant keywords to populate Google Images, your site is eligible for uploading.

      3. Add your website or blog to the Google search engine immediately by adding the URL for your website or blog to Google’s Add URL page (see the “References” section).

Macromedia is expensive, you can get Frontpage or a newer Html Editor from Microsoft. Here are free html editors:

The text bod here is a little too small to give a useful answer to all those questions, there are plenty of bloggers out there talking about the business if blogging.

I can just siggest that blogs typically have to rely on “free” search engine traffic, external links from other sites are the biggest rank drivers, it’s a slow process. Having a specific blog topic and a shopping list of related search keywords you want to rank for is helpful, image intensive Blogger sites have a tougher time getting useful search listings, try to write more text the search spiders can chew on. Don’t worry about monetizing until after you are getting decent traffic, like a few hundred visitors a week, ads don’t help the search rank building process. Google Adsense ads, popular wit blogs select ads that best match the content of the page they appear on, again if your site is low on text you will tend to get junkier ads or public service messages, some blog about high cost subjects just to get better paying ads to popup.

One SEO authority, leaning on the whitehat side has compiled a nice list of free reference articles and service links.

Their blog has a lot of advanced SEO talk more relevant to large ecommerce sites.

ONLINE Store How To Generate Traffic? I have an online store with ETSY under store name flaflowerfloozie but I am not receiving a whole lot of traffic. I would like to know how to get more traffic to my store, I don’t have the funds to do pay-per-clicks or any of those gimmicks…I worry that they pay people to click on your ADs to benefit them since I have seen ADs for such work, so that option is out. I have a Facebook page under the same name flaflowerfloozie and a twitter acount under flaflowerfloozi that’s not really doing anything at all. I can’t seem to figure out how to get people to follow me there must be an insider knowledge to that I don’t know about yet…so do you have any thoughts or ideas for me? Thanks for your help, FFF

There’s so much that can drive traffic to your site but it’s a matter of how well you understand each technique and why it works.

there are a large number of small businesses and websites that use pay per click via google adwords, and facebook ads as their method generating sales and leads. you’ll see the click fraud sometimes when a particular market or keyword has extremely heavy competition. but that is not a reason to dismiss a possible avenue that would actually generate a lot of money for you.

      Traffic Options:
      1. search engine optimization. ranking high in search engine results

      2. social media. actively searching for qualified leads on networks, making initial contact, creating a real friendship while subtly promoting your products. for this to be effective you have to master the skill of relationship marketing. do a search on that term to learn more.

      3. classified ads. they are usually free like craigslist, oodle.com, etc. they offer the benefit of getting your link distributed. add great pics, good sales copy, optimize the ad.

      4. video. youtube is excellent for what you offer. your videos could be tutorials showing unique or low cost methods on how to garden. how to garden in pots, small spaces, or whatever little niche you can find. in the description box add your store link and always state the name of your store and how they can find you in the video.

      5. article marketing. write articles and post them to sites like squidoo and hubpages. if you can write a large volume of articles you will notice that this can generate traffic also. put your link in the article. drive traffic to your store.

      6. blogging. a great way to generate traffic and promote your items.

      7. write press releases.

      8. paid advertising. pay per click really does work. you don’t have to risk your money to find out thought. google adwords and facebook ads usually have offers where you get to advertise free. google gives you up to $100 free if your starting your first adwords account. facebook ads will give you $50. Thats $150 worth of free advertising.

      9. optimize your etsy listing. make sure your tags are all extremely relevant. research the categories so you understand the volume of what’s being sold. some categories have a massive amount of products added to them daily and I think on etsy your only at page one as the submissions come in. if you in a category where you’ll stay on top longer might help. plus less competition.

      10. join the groups and actually get to know as many people on etsy as you can. offer to promote them. by promoting them they are more likely to promote your store also. form win/win alliances with people. find out from them what has been working and share that with others.

      11. blogtalkradio.com . this site allows you to create your own radio program on the internet with your mobile phone. you record you shows and broadcast them. you can even accept live callers and answer their questions. you show would be about flowers and gardening I guess. but it’s an effective and professional way to reach out to people. your show can even be posted to your social media sites. optimize your profile.

      12. brand your company. create a logo, tag line ( phrase that tells people the problem your solving ) and use that on everything concerning your company. that way your companies images get associated and instantly recognized for what you do. to learn more do a search on branding and marketing.

      13. business cards and fliers

      14. attend trade shows or events.

      15. ask present customers to refer you to their friends and family

      16. participate in forums. do not market in them but get to know your target market and offer good communication and content.

      17. email marketing. crucial for an online business. basically you want to capture your visitors via an opt in form. do a search on email marketing to learn the techniques and what it is and which companies offer the best email marketing service. aweber is $1 the first month and pretty much the industry standard.

select only one area at a time because you have to master that area first to produce results. that’s not an overnight thing. eventually you’ll see gains.

Are There Any Real Work At Home Jobs Out There? I have searched many times over, and never have found anything that doesn’t want me to pay them. Is there anything on the web that is for real?

First of all, you should never need to pay a fee for jobs like data entry or taking surveys. Most of these types of programs are either outright scams or are misleading people regarding how much money you can realistically earn.

However, there are legitimate jobs that can be done from home while online. Here are some that I have done at one point or another since 2004. I’m still doing most of them, particularly writing articles, publishing, and affiliate marketing through my own website.

      1) Freelance writing: If you have a reasonably good command of the English language, you can write articles on almost any topic and sell them to webmasters like me who are looking for relevant content to post on their websites. Some site owners and Internet marketers will even pay you to rewrite and/or proofread articles. Note that you should never be required to pay any upfront fees for this type of work. If a company tries to charge you a fee in this situation be very careful — it could be a scam and the offer may not be legitimate.

      2) Affiliate marketing: You can sign up as an affiliate with networks such as Clickbank, Amazon, Commission Junction, and many others, which will allow you to make money by advertising other people’s products and keeping a percentage of any sales resulting from your referrals to the merchant’s site(s). Although some people spend money for this type of advertising, it can be done for free by posting your referral links in forum signatures (be careful not to spam the forums, however), on free blogging services such as Blogger, or as free classified ads. If you are willing to spend a small amount of money at the beginning, you can purchase our own domain name and hosting service, which will allow you to advertise your affiliate products freely on your own site.

      3) Sell physical goods. If you have any sort of tangible goods that you don’t need or can make yourself without too much hassle, there are sites that will allow you to set up shop online and sell them for fun and profit. Ebay and Amazon are the most obvious choices here, but there are many other alternatives that may offer you more favorable terms.

      4) Get paid to post. In addition to getting paid for writing full length articles, you can also be paid for posting smaller blocks of text such as comments on a forum or blog, short blog posts, links to websites with short snippets of text, short answers to questions, or brief reviews of products or websites. The forums at DigitalPoint.com and Amazon’s Mechanical Turk section are two good places to connect with people who will pay you for these types of services.

      5) Be a virtual assistant. This is a job that has been noticeably gaining in popularity over the past few years as more webmasters are trying to expand their operations and outsource some of their more time-consuming tasks. A virtual assistant (VA) job involves a variety of administrative tasks that can be done online. Some common examples include moderating forums and blogs (proofreading comments and deleting spam), uploading and downloading files, resizing and posting images, and performing basic customer service functions through live chat or instant messaging platforms. As with freelance writing, you should never have to pay any upfront fees for this. You can look for VA jobs at the DigitalPoint forums mentioned above or at some of the larger freelance sites such as Elance.com or GetAFreelancer.com.

You can write posts related to one category to which your blog belong and other option is that you can categorize your blog into categories and can post different articles into different category based on their relevant category. and then just observe that which category’s articles the people are liking the most and then start adding more and more articles related to that category.

Also you should add interesting images to the articles as well.

What Blogging Site Should I Use? I’ve been wanting to start a blog for a while now, but i’m not really sure which site i should use. i tried creating a live journal account a few months back, but it was a little confusing. i’m not really savvy with these sorts of things, so i’d prefer a blogging site thats easy to get the hang of. i also would like to be able to play music, upload photos, and have creative liberties when it comes to the appearance. i’m not sure if theres a blogging site like this out there, but i’m willing to compromise certain aspects.

btw. i’m not sure if this is an important detail or not, but i want my blog to be open to the public so others can read it. i’m not too concerned about “friend requesting” my real-life friends on the site or anything. i want this to be kind of anonymous.

    thanks in advance! ?

Please don’t be offended, i just want to help you : )

      * maybe its worth writing shorter posts, but if you have a lot to say do more posts rather than long ones. yes the point of blogging is to write lots, but in this day and age people have less concentration!

      * make sure you have a couple of images in each post that are relevant to engage readers

      * browse other peoples blogs and comment on theirs then its likely they will follow you

      * maybe you could do a beauty product post? where you buy products and test them out or do make up tutorials or something so your blog is more interactive, maybe in the future you will get beauty companies sending you products for promotion as i’ve seen similar things happen with other blogs.

      * i think a different header image would be better, like one of make up or a model or something, look on flickr.com for inspiration : )

      * change the colour of your ‘tags’ bar as it is hard to read as its quite bright.

the rest of its pretty good : ) !

I’d sign up to bloglovin.com as this way you will get more followers and be able to get inspiration from other peoples blogs.

      hope i’ve helped : )

Your blog needs text. There’s nothing but a bunch of pictures. It looks like a simple image gallery. You need a home page that says some things about what your site is all about, what people can hope to find, and some tips on how to navigate around. There’s no teasing info. I looked at it and had no clue what the hell the site was about. It just looks like a bunch of pictures stacked on top of each other, which is boring.

Here are some examples of what you need to do. The last one is the most relevant to what you’re trying to do, and it will provide you with tips:

.webnode.com Vs .wordpress.com Vs .domainnameibought.com In Terms Of Search Engine Optimization? Are wordpress blogs any better than other blogging platforms in terms of search engine optimization? And does having a your own real domain name that you paid for have an advantage over blogging platform domains in terms of SEO?

    View Comment

WordPress does seem to have a better impact on search engine placement. Google tends to prefer WordPress based websites the others
For SEO you need to remember that if you are hosted in a free environment (XYZ.blogspot.com or anything like that) your site is seen as part of that sites domain and rated accordingly, which is to say the information on your site may not be the only thing being considered when determining your relevance. Additionally SEO takes into account every aspect of your site; does the domain name, the title, the image tags, the links, the keywords, the meta content all agree with and confirm what is found with the actual content. Does your site say what it is going to be about then deliver by providing relevant content on that topic.
Last but definitely not least if you dont own the domain name – you dont really own the site! And of your blogging platforms will tell you in the terms of service that the free hosting does not allow you to use it for making money and they reserve the right to close your site for any number of reasons whenever they want. Dont be fooled free isnt really free either

.webnode.com Vs .wordpress.com Vs .domainnameibought.com In Terms Of Search Engine Optimization? Are wordpress blogs any better than other blogging platforms in terms of search engine optimization? And does having a your own real domain name that you paid for have an advantage over blogging platform domains in terms of SEO?

What Is A Good Website To…?????? I want to write my life stories, sort of write the events of my life onto my own webpage that I can privately see. I have them all in journals that I write, I just want to transfer them on the internet.
I don’t really know how to start. I want it to be a document of my past, present, and everyday life, idk, I’ve wrote some in my journal, but I’m having trouble even starting it. I started it with how I feel at the moment and what happened on the day of my birth. I want this to last me until I get old, i.e, 65yrs. so I can look back at it and be appalled. I’m not that great of a writer, but I heard the more you write the better you become. I also heard it’s a great way to release stress, etc. Any suggestions on how I should approach this/start off? Also, what’s a great website to start off on…?
I also want to post pictures on this.

Wow you have had some pretty lame answers here.

Ok seo is a massive subject and one that simply couldn’t be covered in one answer. I’ll go through a few basic things.

I am guessing you have a website up and running and you know the top search terms you want people to find you on ? If not picking your keywords is your first step.

Some parts of your page are more important than others when dealing with optimisation, these are the main ones to concentrate on.

      – Your title tag must include your major keywords with your most important ones been at the front of the sentence. Try to seperate your keywords using ( – ) so google bot distinguishes them as seperate keywords and not just one long phrase.

      – You should also make sure your top 10 keywords are contained in your meta description and keyword tags, again with the most important one being nearer the front.

      – Forgot to mention you title tag needs to be the next line after the head tag, this gives more relevance to your keywords.

      – Use heading tags to seperate different parts of your page using your most important keywords nearer the top.

      – If you have any images use the ALT attribute to describe them using your keywords. (search spiders cannot read IMG tags or Java )

      – Use different synonyms of your keywords in the body text and link to external sites using your main keywords. Make sure the link is to relevant sites and keep it to no more than 2 a page.

      – Use your keywords towards to beginning and end of your body text using bold to add emphasis to keywords. Again only add it to one or two.

      – You need to make sure the link structure of your site is sound and route out faulty redirects.

      – Use text links instead of nav buttons or java.

      – If you haven’t already submit a site map to Google webmaster tools. If you have a sitemap on your site put no more than 30 links on a page. It doesn’t matter how many pages your sitemap takes up.

These are all good basics for increasing exposure to your site, however they only make up about 40% of SEO the other 60% goes towards effective linkbuilding as this is the way to increase your ranking in the major search engines. I could write a book on this but again a few basics.

      – Try to get links to your site from high PageRank sites
      – Pages that link to you most hold some relevance if they are to be effective links.
      – Anchor your link text with your main keywords. (very important)
      – Try and get links from pages with very few other outbound links.
      – Never use a link farm or paid linking as this can penalise your site.

There are many ways to get these links and here are just a few.

      – article marketing
      – press releases
      – linkbaiting
      – commenting
      – blogging
      – asking other RELEVANT webmasters

Hope this has given you a few ideas, and sorry for the long answer but the other answers kind of frustrated me. All the above are the absolute basics, you should join a good blog and read regularly to get the hang of it and keep up to date.
