Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization

Blogging can be a fun and highly effective way to spread ideas, offer products and/or services, and to network with the mass media. The most important thing to a successful blog is having readers. This article will point you in the right direction, and get your blog off the ground.

Blog

First and foremost you want to identify the purpose of your blog. Will you be trying to advertise a product or service of yours? Will you have a political agenda? Or will you simply be “airing it out.” The choice is yours. However, once you establish the purpose of your blog you will be more able to effectively target your market. The easier it is to identify your readers, the more effective your blog will be. You also want to make sure that your blog isn’t too diverse. In other words, focus down the intent as narrowly as you can manage. In our hustle bustle world, no one has time to read everything about everything.

Controversy

Learning to utilize search engine optimization will exponentially increase your web traffic. This technique effectively puts you higher and higher in the search result ratings. As such it becomes more and more likely that your link will be clicked on. If this is too advanced a technique for you, consider offering someone a small sum of money to do it on your behalf. The initial expense will be well worth the increased traffic, especially if your blog is concerning a product or service you areBlogging selling!

Engine

Good grammar and overall well written information is critical to your success. No one will want to continue reading, or trust the information if it appears to be done in an unprofessional manner. You can hire an editor, or outsource the writing jobs entirely. In this way you ensure that you will not detract readers with poor writing.

Good Sense Of Humor

Updating your blog often will ensure the readers keep coming back. You may write one or two interesting discussions, but stop there. The readers that really enjoyed it will keep coming back. However, over time, a site without updates will have no visitors. If you constantly provide new content, not only will you retain old visitors, but you will certainly attract new visitors as well.

Niche

The commenting feature can be controversial. Sometimes comment bar warfare can break out, and this can cost you visitors. The general rule of thumb however, is that allowing comments and feedback help build a relationship with your readership. As such, they will be more likely to come back. This is particularly true if you often post about controversial topics. This will encourage your commentators to keep coming back for updates!

Optimization

Blogging can be a fun and creative way to reach out to both readers and clients. It can be challenging, but it can also easily be simplified if you are willing spend a little time and money. After having read this article you should be able to begin to develop a frequently visited blog in no time.

Where Can I Find Learning Courses In Search Engine Optimization In The Philippines? Need to know companies or education centers that offer search engine optimization courses.

You really do not have to take a course of SEO in order to have a basic understanding of what SEO can do. Here’s an article from Google which is self-explanatory:

The most effective way to advertise on the Internet is
to first set up a website and publish its domain name
on major search directories such as Google.com,
      Yahoo.com [at http://www.google.com/addurl/?…… and
MSN.com since 85% of Internet shoppers rely on these
search directories to provide them with goods and
services. In a sense, these search directories are a
      very large Internet Yellow Pages.

Nevertheless, should your website or opening webpage
fail to contain “generic” keywords, then anyone using
such “generic” queries will not be able to discover
your website. Your domain name [URL] of your website,
in a sense, will be invisible, undiscoverable.

You may want to consider some simple algorithms which,
when observed and committed in designing of a website
with placement of various critical metatags that can
surely achieve a high search engine presence and
increase Internet traffic to your website. These
metatag strategies work well with published webpages
      at Google and Yahoo.

Design: Should you create an extensive Flash-based
website, make sure to fill-in the property entries
such as the Title, Description and Keywords. Failing
to do so, leaves no hard HTML or ALT resource that can
be readily indexed by search robots. Also consider the
Internet audience and their incoming setup. For
example, if they are on analog/dialup, Flash webpages
take too long to load up and therefore analog users
will likely lose interest and discontinue entering the
Flash site. On the other hand, anyone on hi-speed DSL
lines, will welcome Flash pages which load quickly. So
before designing a pure Flash websitge, ask the simple
question, “Who’s my end user – is he on dialup or
DSL?” And if you had to choose between these two users
for maximum marketability, then select analog users
since 80% of most resident users are still analog
Internet subscribers and pure HTML designed webpages
      is best for them.

A non-Flash-based website which relies on hard text,
is far easier to be indexed by search robots. Limit
the use of stylized text saved as .gifs since as a
graphic, they are not indexable by search robots.

Avoid use of frames since any number of search robots
are unable to properly classify textual material.

      Placement of Metatags:

A ranking or search order does take place with Google
and Yahoo and it begins with the “Title” metag which
should consist of no more than 65 characters separated
by commas. The “Title” should describe in generic
terms, the goods and services, followed by a location
from which the resource is located, i.e., city, state.
The placement of a domain name which is not generic
within the “Title” is not appropriate, unless your
domain name is a major recognizable brand name.

The second metatag is the “Description” which is
usually 25-30 words to form a complete sentence which
best describes one’s goods and services.

And the very last category – “Keywords” are also
somewhat limited to 15-16 words which can be plural
and compound in nature. Again, avoid multiple entries
which could be mistaken as “spamdexed entries” which
is defined as the loading, and submission of
repetitive words into a particular metatag category.
“Spamdexing” when discovered on a webpage and reported
to Google’s spamreport.com can result in the
elimination of your website from their search
      directory.

      Good luck!

How Do I Learn SEO (search Engine Optimization) Copywriting? I’m a mostly-traditional advertising copywriter hoping to expand my digital horizons and am looking to learn SEO (search engine optimization) copywriting. I live in NYC, and I’d rather take an actual class at a location than an online course. Anyone have any good suggestions? Thanks.

      Hi,
      I was in your position just a few months ago and am in the process of starting my own SEO company. I have actually learned a lot just by searching around the internet, you will notice that several names begin to pop up more often than not. Whether you find a good class to attend or an online course you should routinely check out;

      seomoz.org
      seobook.com
and I also find good info on stompernet.com < ---- Has a course coming up. Brian Horn is also a good person follow for SEO info. You can find out about the stompernet.com course by going to their page, here is a link as well: http://www.stompernet.com/products/seo-pro-workshops-and-bootcamps-stompernet/

That should be a good course on total SEO/SEM. I am considering going.

But, if you are just looking to learn about the copywriting aspect you will probably find a huge variance on what is the best way to go and I believe that first and foremost you should just write for your target market. After all, if no one likes your site and hates your copy, then a first page ranking really doesn’t matter.

The key really is to pay attention to the keywords you are optimizing for and write about that topic or subject and be sure to include the keyword a couple of times in the actual text.

I hope this answers your question or is at least something you can use. Let us know what class you find and if it turns out to be a good one.

      Cheers,
      Josh

SEO prices can be costly, especially for small-medium sized businesses, simply due to the fact that it requires a lot of time and skill to effectively perform. If you are looking for a low-cost alternative, and wouldn’t mind putting in some time yourself to do the SEO, I would recommend a tool called LotusJump. I’ve been using them for the past couple of months and it’s really quite simple and affordable to do. I even found a promo page so sign up under so I’m quite happy with that I’ve been getting. Good luck to you!

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine’s “natural,” or un-paid, search results. In general, the earlier (or higher ranked on the search results page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine’s users. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search, academic searchnews search and industry-specific vertical search engines.

As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work, what people search for, the actual search terms or keywords typed into search engines and which search engines are preferred by their targeted audience. Optimizing a website may involve editing its content and HTML and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines. Promoting a site to increase the number of backlinks, or inbound links, is another SEO tactic.

There are tools out there that will help but I would not recommend any that automate processes for you as those are likely to have negative long term effects on you websites. And don’t waste your time looking for a tool that will put you in the top 10 spot on a Google search term because none exist that will not get your site removed from Google altogether.

You will need to spend time writing content for your sites and building quality inbound links to your sites in order to reach the top spots and stay there.

Search engine optimization (also known as SEO) is a way of adding certain keywords, certain links, and certain content within a website to allow for better page ranking within search engines such as Google or Yahoo or Bing.

For example, if you have a website based on cars, you would add as much content and car words that have to do with car parts such as: engines, breaks, transmissions, gasoline, repairs, maintenance, tires, dents, body work, etc etc. This will allow the search engines to better direct vistors to your site as you have more relevant content (hopefully) about cars then another site.

      Hope this helps. Good luck.

What Exactly Is Search Engine Optimization?

Search Engine Optimization, or SEO for short, is a term which describes the process of taking advantage of all of the existing available resources in order to obtain a page one organic search result on search engines, without having to pay for it.

All web site owners want as many visitors as possible to enter their site. Research shows that fully 90% of all internet traffic is delivered through search engines. Therefore, in order to get a slice of this traffic you must adjust your web site (fine tune it) to the point that the search engines want to share your site on page one.

Think about it. When you go use a search engine and enter a word or phrase; do you navigate past the first page of results to find what you are looking for? Because most people don’t. That is exactly why everyone competes for page one search results.

And that’s exactly what search engine optimization does. Hopefully. If you’re good at it.

There are many tools that help with SEO. Here is one such tool that is free to download…

      http://instantmarketing.info

There are also many good newsletters and ezines out there that will guide you on how to perform SEO on your own, without hiring someone to do it for you. You can subscribe to one such newsletter here…

      http://instantmarketing.biz

I hope this helps explain what SEO is. To find out more about all of the steps involved in the process, you should check out the two sites I just noted.

Search engine optimization is the process of ensuring that a website (pages) ranks highly in the search engines when someone searches for specific phrases related to the site.

It is divided into two parts. Onpage optimization which includes all the things you can do to the site (page) itself, like selecting the title attribute, search engine friendly urls, keywords in text etc., etc. Offpage optimization which includes things like obtaining inbound links with appropriate anchor text.

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization which helps to increase the number of visitors a website attracts through search engines. Therefore in order to achieve visitors to your website, proper search engine optimization is required. There are two categories of SEO such as
1)White Hat SEO - It refers to the use of natural SEO methods to achieve desired results. It is what is referred to as ethical SEO
2)Black Hat SEO - This type of SEO is also referred to as spamdexing. It uses methods that degrade the search results relevancy. This type of SEO is not for long term as search engines are incessant in looking for websites that integrated forbidden or unethical methods just to rank.

“Search Engine Optimization” is the process of attempting to make a website come up for keywords within a search engines “free” listings. This entail changes to the pages and structure of a site, as well as creating links that point to the site.

Many people believe that “Search Engine Marketing” refers to the paid listings on a search engine, such as Google AdWords.

I (and others) see “Search Engine Marketing” as referring to working with both types of listings, free and paid.
