Many Different Things

Many Different Things

Are you thinking about launching your own blog? You can get the kind of exposure you always dreamed of by applying successful blogging strategies. Go over the following article for some useful blogging tips.

Blog

Define the topic or your blog very carefully. You might be tempted to write about many different things you are interested in but keep in mind that few readers will share all of your interests. It might be best to launch more than one blog if you want to write on several different topics. Once you identify your topic, do some research to get a better idea of what other writers are sharing with their audience around this topic. Your blog will be more successful if you have some fresh ideas to add to the discussion. Give some details on your background and your experiences related to the topic you are writing about. Readers will be more likely to trust you if you come across as an expert in your field.

ControversBloggingy

Select a quality blogging platform. There are several platforms to choose from but you will get better results if you choose a platform you are comfortable with. If necessary, create an account on more than one platform. Look for a platform that includes all the features you need to develop your blog. If you want additional features, consider purchasing a paying account on your favorite platform. Using a platform your readers are likely to use should increase your visibility.

Good Sense Of Humor

Write as much as possible for your blog. The best way to launch a popular blog is to create content your audience will find useful and entertaining. You will get better at writing as you practice. If possible, write at least one article a week. You do not have to write lengthy articles in an elaborate style. Your audience will probably enjoy reading fun top ten lists or even interviews. You can also create videos and feature them on your blog, put together some info-graphics or even record a Podcast. Find a format you are comfortable with and do not hesitate to experiment with new formats to see how your audience will react. You can actually reach out to a much wider audience by using both articles and videos.

Niche

Let your readers know when you update your blog. Most blogging platforms will give your visitors the possibility to sign up for automated email alerts every time you update your blog but you can use many other strategies to stay in touch with your audience. You could for instance launch your own newsletter and write a short email to introduce your latest content or share exclusive information with subscribers. Social networks are another great way to share updates with your audience and keep people connected to your blog. Encourage your readers to sign up for at least one of your campaigns by mentioning it on your blog.

Passion

Apply these blogging strategies to develop your own blog. You will soon get a lot more readers than ever before.

Tumblr allows you to change the whole html just like blogger and it makes you write your codes easily (believe me). Anyways, using a tumblr is cooler because the way of posting a post is much advanced.

Which Is A Better Blogging Service WordPress Or Blogger? I’m about to start my own blog and I was curious as to what would be the best possible blogging platform to use? I used Blogger back when it was all HTML none of these nifty widgets they seem to have now and it seems nicer when it comes to styling your blog, but I feel like WordPress would be easier to get myself out there it’s more widely known.

If your goal is to get new traffic, WordPress would probably be your better choice. WordPress is much better with SEO, so you would have a greater chance of someone finding your blog on a Search Engine.

Blogger is nice if you just want to do a personal blog mainly targeted to your friends and family. WordPress delivers a much better community of bloggers behind it.

As far as Widgets and User Interface, both are pretty similar.

      Hope this Helps!

Can Someone Tell Me What Blogging Platform This Blog Runs On, Please? http://neetrecordings.com/blog

It’s not running on a “blog platform”, it was just written using, among other things, JQuery. But if you want a blog, I’d second WordPress.

Which Blogging Platform Do You Prefer And Why? I am thinking about starting a blog, but do not know where to host it. Blogger? WordPress? Somewhere else?

Where do you host your blog, and why? Do you like it? Is there a specific feature you like?

    Thanks!

What Is The Best Blogging Platform For Musicians? I am creating a website for an aspiring rapper. I am trying to decide the best & (hopefully FREE) blogging tool that is sophisticated enough to post music & videos but simple enough for him to update himself when I am not available. It will be used to share info about his upcoming events, projects, merchandise, etc.

I’ve used cutenews for my graphic design site, but I’m not sure if that will be efficient enough for a musician. Thank you in advance.

Which Blogging Platform To Use? Tumblr or Blogger? Hi, I’m 14 but have always had a strong passion for fashion. This summer I have decided to start up my own fashion blog- many people have suggested I do so. But now I’m stuck with tricky task of picking a blogging platform. I understand that Tumblr and Blogger are the main ones, but which one is more sutable for my needs and is easier to grow on? Thanks a lot!

Hi you have a good passion. Tumblr users consist of many young people like you. It’s a social blogging platform. You will find many like minded people. Joining it is a piece of cake. I suggest you to join tumblr. but if you don’t want social features and just want to create the web blog, then join blogger. It’s owned by google. Your site will be more visible to google search. You can distribute your blog address. Good luck ?

What Blogging Platform Do You Like To Use? Do you keep a blog? Which blogging service hosts your blog? I would like to start one, but I don’t want to use anything associated with Google! Google has gotten way too huge what with their incorporating-youtube and monopoly-on-search-engines shenanigans.

I would like to be able to incorporate some photos into my layout, perhaps in a banner or side-bar. Other than that, I just want some place that has some nice templates I can use with font customization and a few, non-technical way to mess with options. =) And some place that is well-established enough that it won’t go under a few years down the road.
@David – Blogger is run by Google.

      Hi Pandora,

I use self-hosted WordPress (Blogger is owned by Google). Since it’s self-hosted, it’s mine so I can do anything that I want with it. Plus, there are tons of themes to choose from and more created every day.

There is a slight learning curve at first, but for the most part. But it’s the #1 blogging platform out there for both business and personal. The only big downside is that you have to pay for hosting.

Oh, and WordPress.org is where you would find it (not WordPress.com). Although, most web hosts have a 1-click install feature.

      Hope that helps,

      Dean

How To Create Your Own Blogging Platform? Hi, I have been using wordpress for about 3 years now. I was thinking to develop my own blogging platform like Danny Choo and his Mirai Gaia. I wonder if there is any website that can show me the basics of what is required.

I think it would be a unique learning experience and I would be able to develop all the features and looks I want it to have.

    Thanks
I am not looking for web hosting or domain names lol. I want to program my own blogging platform! (What kind of web designer do you take me for! I am just joking haha…) I already have hosting with hostgator they are awesome!

I am just looking for a basic guide on what is required to create a blog, for example I want to create my own version of wordpress or blogger if you understand what I mean.

I don’t know much about c++ being used for web development but what I do know is wordpress uses PHP and MySQL both, which I am very familiar with.

I agree. It would be a unique learning experience to create your own blogging platform.

you’ll need a server to store the blog or a website address for it. If you have multiple bloggers then you’ll have to have the server.

You can use just about any program to do this but you need to know the elements you need to include. That can be tricky.
      You need a welcome page.
you’ll need options on that page, pages for editiing and pages for preferences adn storage for all of it.

These are just a basic idea. I’d use C++

Good (free) Blogging Platform? My friend and I want to share a blog. It will likely be set to private for now anyway. Do people still blog? I know a lot of people use microblogging platforms like Tumblr these days, but are there still any other good/popular blogging platforms that anyone would recommend? (I don’t even know if you can set Tumblr to private.)
