You should be able to get a list of the keywords visitors looked up before finding your content or the links they followed to visit your blog. You should also look at the number of visits each page gets. Use this data to get to know your audience better and understand what kind of information they are looking for when they look at your blog.

ControversBloggingy

Write plenty of articles for article directories. There are many different article directories you can use to share your content. Choose a directory that will give you the option to include links to your blog in the articles you share or at least a link to a writer’s profile on which you can promote your blog. Choose article directories that rank high in search results and create more content for these directories on a regular basis.

Engine

Find other bloggers who are interested in exchanging links with you. You should try finding blogs on similar topics and get in touch with these bloggers. Let them know you would be interested in featuring their content and their links if they are ready to return the favor. You should also send your best articles to online magazines to see if they would be interested in featuring your content. Keep sending articles to different publications and your content will eventually be published.

Good Sense Of Humor

Learn more about search engine optimization. You can use an SEO campaign to improve the visibility of your blog. Some blogging platforms will give you access to SEO plug ins you can use to optimize your blog. Try using strong keywords for your article titles, organize your blog efficiently and share links that include strong keywords. Developing an efficient SEO campaign should help you get more traffic and rank higher in search results for keywords related to your content.

Niche

Find a way to stay in touch with your readers. You should have a few campaigns readers can subscribe to in order to receive updates from you. You could for instance create a newsletter to share a monthly email with links to all your recent popular posts as well as fresh content. Social media is another popular way to interact with your audience while sharing information about your updates. Give your readers different options and draw attention to these campaigns by adding a subscription form for your newsletter on your blog or by sharing links to your social media profiles.

Optimization

Use these different strategies to promote your blog and you should soon get a lot more traffic than usual. Make sure you keep writing quality content so your visitors come back to your blog on a regular basis and subscribe to your updates.

It is important to know your keywords. If you have a product that you sell on your site, ask five friends what they might search for on google/yahoo to find it. Take those different keywords and optimize your page with them.
Also work on your meta tags. Here is an article on how they work: http://www.richkahmer.com/meta-tags.html

How Do I Learn SEO (search Engine Optimization) Copywriting? I’m a mostly-traditional advertising copywriter hoping to expand my digital horizons and am looking to learn SEO (search engine optimization) copywriting. I live in NYC, and I’d rather take an actual class at a location than an online course. Anyone have any good suggestions? Thanks.

      Hi,
      I was in your position just a few months ago and am in the process of starting my own SEO company. I have actually learned a lot just by searching around the internet, you will notice that several names begin to pop up more often than not. Whether you find a good class to attend or an online course you should routinely check out;

      seomoz.org
      seobook.com
and I also find good info on stompernet.com < ---- Has a course coming up. Brian Horn is also a good person follow for SEO info. You can find out about the stompernet.com course by going to their page, here is a link as well: http://www.stompernet.com/products/seo-pro-workshops-and-bootcamps-stompernet/

That should be a good course on total SEO/SEM. I am considering going.

But, if you are just looking to learn about the copywriting aspect you will probably find a huge variance on what is the best way to go and I believe that first and foremost you should just write for your target market. After all, if no one likes your site and hates your copy, then a first page ranking really doesn’t matter.

The key really is to pay attention to the keywords you are optimizing for and write about that topic or subject and be sure to include the keyword a couple of times in the actual text.

I hope this answers your question or is at least something you can use. Let us know what class you find and if it turns out to be a good one.

      Cheers,
      Josh

      SEO – Search Engine Optimisation
A process to increase the relevant traffic to the website via search engines.

SEO is not something you can master just by reading some books or learning at NIIT.
It is a strategic plan which requires extensive hands on experience (if you want to sustain in the market).

So do a complete research and decide if you actually have the patience, interest in this.
Don’t opt just for the sake the terms SEO is being used around frequently.

What Is Search Engine Optimization And Whats It Benefits ? How to do search engine optimization for a blog ?

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in search engines via the “natural” or un-paid (“organic” or “algorithmic”) search results. In general, the earlier (or higher ranked on the search results page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine’s users. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search, academic search, news search and industry-specific vertical search engines.

As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work, what people search for, the actual search terms or keywords typed into search engines and which search engines are preferred by their targeted audience. Optimizing a website may involve editing its content and HTML and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines. Promoting a site to increase the number of backlinks, or inbound links, is another SEO tactic.

The acronym “SEOs” can refer to “search engine optimizers,” a term adopted by an industry of consultants who carry out optimization projects on behalf of clients, and by employees who perform SEO services in-house. Search engine optimizers may offer SEO as a stand-alone service or as a part of a broader marketing campaign. Because effective SEO may require changes to the HTML source code of a site and site content, SEO tactics may be incorporated into website development and design. The term “search engine friendly” may be used to describe website designs, menus, content management systems, images, videos, shopping carts, and other elements that have been optimized for the purpose of search engine exposure.

Blogging software is really a simple Content Management System (CMS) that easily adds new pages and integrates them into your site’s navigational structure and linkage.

Blogs and blog posts are naturally search engine friendly because they are text-rich, link-rich, frequently-updated webpages that use stylesheets or CSS, and have very little extraneous HTML.

Optimizing a blog is very similar to optimizing a website, and optimizing a blog post similar to optimizing a web page.

But depending on the blogging service or software you use, the results may look somewhat different.

If you follow some simple rules for search engine optimization, your blog can rank much higher than static website pages in the search engine results pages.

Here are the most important rules to follow to get your posts listed for keywords of your choice.

      1. Use your primary keyword in your blog domain
      2. Use your primary key phrase in your blog header tags and the title of your posts
      3. Use your secondary keywords in the body of your post
      4. Use your keywords in the anchor text of links
      5. Make sure search engines can spider your blog easily
      6. Get backlinks from other blogs or websites

What’s The Difference Between Search Engine And SEO? Search engine optimization?

      Search engine optimization (SEO) :
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines. Usually, the earlier a site is presented in the search results, or the higher it “ranks,” the more searchers will visit that site. The leading search engines, Google, Yahoo! and Microsoft, use crawlers to find pages for their algorithmic search results.

      Search Engine :
A Web search engine is a search engine designed to search for information on the World Wide Web. Information may consist of web pages, images and other types of files. Some search engines also mine data available in newsbooks, databases, or open directories. Unlike Web directories, which are maintained by human editors, search engines operate algorithmically or are a mixture of algorithmic and human input.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is anything you do that helps your websites’ pages rank higher in the search engines for your targeted keywords.

There are two distinct components of SEO, On-page and off-page.

On-Page optimization is everything you do to the code and your website pages like having search engine friendly urls or a suitable title element.

Off-page optimization is everything you do externally for your website like making sure you have the best possible anchor text for inbound links.

SEO efforts may involve a site’s coding, presentation, and structure, as well as fixing problems that could prevent search engine indexing programs from fully spidering a site. Other, more noticeable efforts may include adding unique content to a site, ensuring that content is easily indexed by search engine robots, and making the site more appealing to users. Another class of techniques, known as “Black Hat” SEO or spamdexing, use methods such as link farms and keyword stuffing that tend to harm search engine user experience. Search engines look for sites that employ these techniques and may remove their listings.

Many people believe that “Search Engine Marketing” refers to the paid listings on a search engine, such as Google AdWords.

I (and others) see “Search Engine Marketing” as referring to working with both types of listings, free and paid.

What Is Called As SEO(Search Engine Optimization)?

    View Comment

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is often considered the more technical part of Web marketing. This is true because SEO does help in the promotion of sites and at the same time it requires some technical knowledge - at least familiarity with basic HTML. SEO is sometimes also called SEO copyrighting because most of the techniques that are used to promote sites in search engines deal with text. Generally, SEO can be defined as the activity of optimizing Web pages or whole sites in order to make them more search engine-friendly, thus getting higher positions in search results.

Search Engine Optimization is basically a process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in search engines via the “organic” or “algorithmic” search results. The higher a website ranks in the results of a search, the greater the possibility that the site will be visited by a user.

It’s rationally interesting to know that there are 917,846,342 different websites that are related to the search query, but really, if website doesn’t appear in the first 10 pages, it’s invisible to the world. To remove this satire SEO is used so that the website can appear on the page rank number 1 or close to number 1 in results retrieved for a specific search or searches.

Search Engine Optimization is a highly technical process, but for online merchants it’s also a critical business process. That’s why we take the time to learn about your goals, products, the competition, and your marketplace.

There are two key steps in our process:

      1-Keyword search and competitor analysis
      2-Site optimization

First Step is Keyword Search and Competitive Analysis

Review site structure and search engine rankings for your site and that of your competitors
This process helps define benchmarks for before- and after-SEO strategy.

Identify keywords that your customers are likely to enter in the search engine to find your products.

This research can yield keyword suggestions that can be one of the most beneficial aspects of SEO, with high returns on investment.

Keyword research consists of three primary activities:

      Discovery
      ROI analysis
