Positive Tone

Positive Tone

If you’re going to be a blogger, you’re going to find out that this incorporates a variety of different things you must do. You need a solid plan to start, and you need to continue to familiarize yourself with the art of blogging and marketing. So, as you’re doing all of this, the article in front of you wishes to give you a few pointers in the right direction. Consider the following advice, and think about these tips for running a good blog.

BloBloggingg

Always make sure that you’re proofreading your blog posts before submission. Also, after you have published them, proofread them again. Many times, bloggers have gone back only to find mistakes after they have already published their posts. While you can fix these mistakes, it takes proofreading to find them. Otherwise, readers will call them to your attention, and also people will not refer to you as an authority within your niche if you have mistakes in your blog posts.

Controversy

Always try to keep things on the lighter side. Throw some humor in there, and always write in a positive tone. You might have to get sharp from time to time writing on subjects, depending on your niche, but for the most part write with a positive tone. You want to be sure that you are making the reading experience enjoyable.

Good Sense Of Humor

Always be sure that you’re posting regularly as well. If you do not keep a posting schedule, people are going to not know when to return. You want to make them feel like they know and have them waiting for your next post. Say you post once a day at 12. Well, people are going to get used to that, and they will know when to check your blog. This will get them into the routine just as you are doing the same thing.

Niche

If at all possible, build up a collection of posts so you can have them ready to go in when things come up. You don’t always want to be just hitting your deadline. In other words, if you’re going on vacation, have posts ready to go that you can just submit or publish when you are on vacation. That way, you’re not stuck writing while on vacation or not meeting the demands of your continued readers.

Passion

Try using bullet lists and top ten lists in your blog posts. People love to read these, and they attract much attention. These make quick short points that readers can gather and apply to their lives. You can do this in many ways within all niches.

Positive

You definitely want to put the right amount of work into your blog so that you reap the benefits. There are so many little things you can do, and some of them have been described for you here. Make sure you heed the advice you’ve been given, and get moving on setting up your blog and marketing it properly. If you want readers, you have to work for them.

    How Do You Find The Tone Of A Passage? Im sure the teacher talked about this, but im not sure. I might have been asleep. Is there a way to figure out the tone of what your reading.
    If so PLEASE tell me.

      The tone is simply the authors feelings towards the events that are happening in the story. You realize this by analyzing the passage
      For example if text reads

      ” The holy mess that I call a life lingered in front of my eyes, taunting me with every step I take” The tone is negative

      ” The World, such a beautiful place full of opportunity.” That is a positive tone

      I hoped this helped

    How Can I Get A More Toned Body? Alright, so my boyfriend is out of the country for the next month and I wanted to surprise him with a more firm and toned body. What exercises work well for all areas of the body for toning as well as building strength? (especially thighs and abdominals) What results should I expect in four weeks? I would love links or helpful videos. Thanks for your time.

      You want to turn on some music to get your mind off the work out.
      I find it more fun with music too.

      You want to start off with stretching. You don’t want to work out with a stiff body.

      After the stretch you want you lay on your back and do 50 sit-ups.
      Knees to elbows and no cheating. This will give you a great ab look or what others call a six pack

      After that you want to do some leg holds. This is where you lie on your back and lift your legs 4 to 5 inches off the ground. This one will get your back thighs, inner things, and buttocks.

      Then after all that you want to do 25 push-ups. Girl style or guy it doesn’t matter. This will get your arms and upper body.

      Incorporate some weight-training exercises into your routine as well as aerobics. If you’re not familiar with weight-lifting equipment (or if that weight room in the gym makes you feel a bit lost and nervous), get started under professional guidance. A trainer can walk you through the basic equipment and explain safe ways to use it. Weight machines are usually an easier way to get started before you face the free-weight room.

      Try a yoga class, which can help enhance the flexibility of your muscles and tone up your body.

      Eat a balanced diet. Think more fruits, whole grains and green leafy vegetables, and less sugar, alcohol and junk food.

      Treat yourself to a massage occasionally, to help improve your blood circulation and tone up all those new and improved muscles you’re working on.

      Keep a positive mindset. Remind yourself that you can do this, and that your mental state also affects how you look.

      This is the last step of them all and it is the most important one. You have to be persistent. That is the major key.

      Hope this helps :))

      Good Luck x

    Why Can I Only Write About Dark Things? Throwing this out there hoping to get some advice from people who write.

    I’m trying to pursue writing again after an absence of a couple of years… I used to write a ton when I was younger, both just in a journal and occasionally short stories. I’ve always wanted to pursue creative writing/fiction more, and I’m at a point in my life now where I’m trying to cultivate some more passions/hobbies so I’m not just wasting time staring at screens in my free time. I do a fair amount of reading again, like I used to, and now I’d like to get back into writing.

    A frustration that I’m coming across is that when it comes to creative writing, I only seem to be able to write well about rather dark subject matter. I think this has something to do with the fact that in my adolescent years when I used to write often, my life was kind of dark subject matter. I went through abuse, addiction, depression… and I could write very well about those things. But I don’t know that I want to write about those things any more. My life is going through transition, and I’m in a more positive state of mind, and I prefer to focus on life’s positives. However, I really struggle when it comes to writing something with a more positive tone. Those are the kind of stories I like to read; witty/humorous with elements of fantasy and adventure. Some of my favorite authors are Christopher Moore, Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, Jasper Fforde, Gregory Macguire…

    I guess I’m just looking for some advice, wondering if anyone who writes has ever deal with similar issues. How do I write something I can be proud of without tapping into my own personal pain?

      From my perspective as a somewhat writer but more of a song lyric writer, what you have inside you wants out. I think it’s best if you recognize that and just let it come out. In that way it is released, and then you are free to create new things in the mood you think is more desirable.

      I find nothing wrong with dark or moody books or musical pieces. It can be very emotional and touch readers’ or listeners’ hearts from miles away … even across centuries (Beethoven for example) … and isn’t that the purpose of art?

      I don’t think art is supposed to be just a ‘feel-good, optimistic always’ type of thing.
      To me, art is about sharing our own human experiences ~ *all* of the emotions.

      ~~~~~~~
      I seem to get the feeling that you should write a transition story, so to speak; kind of like a metaphor of you losing or releasing your past and moving on. I tend to think that would, as I said, help you let go of the past and enable you to start creating the more optimistic works that you aspire to write.
    What Is The Best Way To Tone Your Stomach Within A Month’s Time? I’m going on a trip with some friends to the bahamas in March
    I was wondering what the best way is to tone your stomach fast.
    I already have a pretty lean figure I just want that total beach body look!
    Any exercise suggestions?
      Eat less fatty and processed foods – avoid particularly junk food, alcohol, sugar and excessive salt, and do a bit more exercise, total body work and stuff like swimming, bike riding, walking up steep hills or lots of stairs and rowing (my favorite!!) that raises the heart rate and breathing for a sustained period. It’s that simple. Drink plenty of water to flush out toxins and eat lots of fruit and steamed or raw vegies, fish and lean meats only.
      The Wuyi Mountains of the Fujian Province are the source of one of the most famous varieties of Oolong tea, a semi fermented green tea. Often used in Chinese cooking and medicinal preparations it is clearly a healthy food loaded with positive effects – it has been shown to aid in the oxidisation of body fat – but it is not a miracle cure for anything.
      Traditional Chinese Medicine is a holistic science, and no practitioner would ever prescribe only oolong tea as a treatment for obesity. All those ‘Wu-Yi’ adds are sophisticated scams it appears.
      Just stick to the simple and proven path.
      Good luck with the self control ?
      Congrats on the weight loss!
      If your next goal is to tone up and look more physically fit, then I would suggest you add weight training to your routine.
      You can keep doing cardio (assuming that’s what you’re already doing), but work in 3 days a week of weight training.
      By doing this, you’ll build muscle mass, which is what it takes to look tone and fit.
      To get your body overall tone, you need to perform full body compound exercises.
      this includes:
      Squats
      Deadlifts
      Benchpress
      Military Press
      Back rows
      Pullups or lat pulldowns.
      You can find instructional videos on these at youtube.
      For toning, you want to use light weight, but higher reps (12 to 18). And make sure you drink plenty of water when you work out.
      Something I really enjoy doing when I’m cutting weight is circuit training. This is where you do 6 different exercises in a row, one after another. you’ll want to alternate between lower and upper body.
      Take a break for a couple minutes, then do it again. Do this 5 times total. Your heart will love it. And results come quick.
      I’m currently offering a free report that will help you out.
    Does The Thickness Of A Guitar Neck Effect The Tone? Does the thickness of a guitar neck effect the tone?
    From a common sense perspective you’d think yes, more sustain. But physics is not common sense, it’s a science. Does anyone know and if so, how much would it effect tone? (I’ve heard people say it wouldnt effect tone)
    How about the thickness of the fingerboard (on rosewood)? Thanks!
    Wow! the first answer to my question is very detailed, but way too technical! Lol. In laymans terms, the thicker the neck, the more sustain? The thicker the rosewood fingerboard the more sustain? (and then why would a Squier strat have a much thicker board than an American Strat)?
      Yes it does affect tone. See below from websites via Google.
      Q: What effect will neck design (mass) and fret size have on the sound of the guitar?
      A: We all love the feel of a well proportioned neck. It enhances the playability and enjoyment of our guitars. The mass of the neck will indeed affect the tone of your instrument. Whether this is a positive or negative influence depends on your taste in tone. When I design a guitar for Jazz applications I want a precise tone with excellent projection to showcase the players single note leads or rapid chord comping. One of the factors to facilitate this is to increase neck mass. This can be done with the use of a heavier tuning machine in a larger haedstock or with a denser neck wood. The effect is to prevent vibrations from chimneying up the neck and dissipating. The results are more efficient transfer of string energy to air movement through the sound hole, thus increasing projection. In the case of a guitar designed to have vintage appeal or a roundness, warmth, and openness of tone we benefit from a lighter weight headstock and machine. In this instrument the vibrations transferred to the neck enhance the qualities of this style of guitar by making it more forgiving and less precise. One caveat, guitars with mechanically fastened necks instead of the traditional dovetail joint won’t benefit as much from this nuance. By considering these factors you should be able to get both the tone and the right neck in the same guitar. Technically jumbo frets would add mass to the neck and affect the sound as mentioned above. Realistically this would be a small contribution to the equation. More important would be the fret height. The higher the fret, the steeper the angle when depressed, creating more downward pressure and positive contact of string to fret, resulting in clearer tone and increased amplitude.
      Rosewood Tops:
      Rosewood tops will add some sustain, by virtue of the density, but also the lamination itself. Its oiliness will dampen the attack and the higher treble frequencies. So Rosewood over Mahogany will really be smooth, while Rosewood over Ash will retain some open midrange resonance. Rosewood over Alder or Basswood will be a sustain boost with little affect on the tone besides the high mid combing from the lamination, since the high dampening from Rosewood is redundant.
      Rosewood Necks:
      Heavy, oily wood, a Rosewood neck will produce excellent sustain while also smoothening out the highs. Generally with greater sustain comes a brighter top end. This is not true of Rosewood. It mutes the high frequency overtones, producing a strong fundamental that still has the complexities of mid and low mid overtones.
      Rosewood Fretboard:
      The most common fretboard, Rosewood is naturally oily, and works well for any surface that sees frequent human contact. The sound is richer in fundamental than Maple because the stray overtones are absorbed into the oily pores
      Counting calories WON’T help you tone.
      A muscle’s tone increases when you regularly challenge the limit of its strength. You won’t be able to train vigorously enough to tone many muscles, if you restrict your body’s supply of ENERGY (‘calories’).
      A properly ENERGETIC diet will also help your anti-depressants to keep you feeling positive.
      Try adding at least two warm, milky drinks (such as cocoa or horlicks) per day, as well as snacking more often, perhaps with fruit AND yoghurt each time.
      Work out how much, and what type, of training activity you are going to do each day. Then you will be able to plan your energy intake to support the training. It is this training which will improve the tone of your physique.
      A beginners’ book about bodybuilding will tell you how to start a tone-building activity programme, how to develop it over time, and how to construct a dietary programme that supports each stage of your training.
    What Is The Tone In “The Road Not Taken” By Robert Frost?
      It depends entirely on how you read it. Most people are taught in school to read it as having a positive, uplifting tone. However, if you read it closely and look at the imagery, it can also be seen as a depressive tone because it can be read as the speaker talking about aging and the end of life.
      Abdominal training does not have a localized effect on fat loss. all of the crunches in the world won’t get you a wash board stomach with out the proper diet. great abs are made in the kitchen not in the gym…
      you are losing out by doing cardio only. resistance training has a much greater positive impact on the endocrine system and on the skeletal system. studies have also shown that over a 24 hr period a training session of resistance training burns substantially more calories than the same amount of cardiovascular exercise.
      if you want to get lean and strong a training routine based on both cardio and resistance training is the way to go…
      They often win. People like to vote for people who talk in very positive tones. Positive speeches, full of hope for the future, regardless of whether the candidate has any concrete plans.
      It’s a very good way to campaign. I was not around when Roosevelt ran, but it would appear that he was a rather positive guy, along with Kennedy and I suppose Reagan was too. Think about Arnold Schwarzeneggar. He’s rather positive.
      And I actually think the opposite is true too, in that it worked against Ron Paul, because though much of what he said is true, he seemed to me to come across in rather negative tones.
      Romney would have done better if he had chosen a different campaign slogan than something about the government being broken. He could have at least spoke about America being on the verge of a new horizon of greatness, and then within the speeches mentioned that we need to change some things.
      I think that someone has told McCain that he needs to keep his talks positive. So he does talk in that way some, although he can’t give it a lot of enthusiasm that Obama can, simply due to their different energy levels, and that might be a problem for McCain, assuming that Obama is the nominee. Hillary has no energy level, even when she tries, and I kind of feel sorry for her, since she really knows what she’s talking about.
      Anyway, it will be interesting to see if Obama’s feel good speeches carry him to the win.
      The tone of this poem is one of recovering hope and positive thinking in a potentially awful situation.It is suggested that in this world, only those persons are good who will obey the tradition established by the persons who are in the Power centre. Therefore when the angel says that “they need not fear harm” it sounds more like a threat to those who oppose the powerful class than a fantastic moral suggestion to the human beings in general.
      Though on the face of it ,it sounds like a note of hope it is ironic that the situation is miserable and it is a false consolation that it will turn out to be rosy.
      The predominent tone is sarcastic.
