Search Engines Index

Search Engines Index

If you own a business with a website, it is likely that you have considered embracing a blog on it as part of your marketing strategy. The fact is that it is a great idea, but it is likely that it is a myth which is holding you back. Read on below to find out what is true about blogging and what isn’t.

Blog

The customers of my business have no interest in blogs. They may not visit blogs every day, or may not even know how to subscribe to one, but if they use search engines, it is likely that they have been on blogs before. In fact, they probably frequently end up on blogs, they just don’t realize it. Blogs contain a plethora of information which search engines index, and people will locate these posts thinking they are articles. There is nothing wrong with that! If you provide a blog chock full of great content, people will find it when it is what they are looking for.

ControversBloggingy

Blogging is nothing more than a trend which will end shortly. Boy, I bet you thought the same of the Internet in the 90s, too! Blogs are an extremely powerful tool when it comes to communicating with customers and marketing your business. It doesn’t matter where they go in the future, the fact is that they are useful to you today, so you should be making use of them. In fact, as long as you build your blog following, you can always move them over to social media, your website and anywhere else you wish them to go in the future.

Engines

Blogging is just for teenagers and hipsters to share their innermost feelings with the world. Many of today’s youth do engage in blogs, but so do plenty of middle-aged people and even seniors. Teens love Facebook as well, but I’m sure you have a business page there. They also love to yak on their phones all night, but that doesn’t mean you write off the phone entirely. Blogs and businesses go together hand in hand, and any company not making use of them is really missing the boat.

Engines

Running a blog is too time consuming. The fact is that you don’t have to update a blog every day or spend a huge amount of time on it. If you keep your website up to date, you can also handle a blog. The time you put into using a blog for marketing will pay off hugely, so it is time well spent. It boosts your SEO quickly and easily, helps to cement your role as an expert in the field and allows you to get your information out automatically on your site, through social media and via email as well.

Good Sense Of Humor

Now that you know fact from fiction when it comes to blogging, you can go ahead and add a blog to your site. This will bring great benefits to your website and your business, so capitalize on them while you still can. Then put all your effort into making your blog all it can be.

Do Search Engine Spiders Index Alt Descriptions? I am in the process of creating a website and I am uploading images. I was wondering if search engine crawlers/bots index the alt descriptions of those images.

Of course they do. But only images Search Engine care (such as images.google.com), normal Search Engine (such as google.com) don’t care about it

Remember that images searchers is also a huge traffic source for your blog/website!

Doing SEO with software is not good. Vitalizing SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is the key factor in getting optimized high ranking in search engines. In order to get high ranking in such areas as google, yahoo, or msn you must utilize SEO effectively. You can do this by submitting high content articles to many article submitting sites like EZINE and GOARTICLES, and creating back links to your website. In order to use Search Engine Optimization effectively you must hone in on the techniques of spreading tons of content to many different websites while keeping that target niche in mind. After on-page optimization, you can go build your back links to your site. With backlinks, search engines will directly index your websites after finding the links. No need to submit your website to the search engines themselves. Your backlinks will do the work for you.

Why Am I Still Showing Up On Search Engines Even Though I Unchecked “Create A Public Search Listing”? On Facebook in the privacy section there is an option whether or not you want to create a public search listing for search engine indexing. It is automatically “checked” for you. 2 days ago, I unchecked it, but I am still showing up. Does it take time to be removed?

Can Search Engines Index White Text On A Dark Background On A Web Page? I am creating a small website using WordPress with a Theme. Everything in the web is indexable as long as you are not putting a code that will stop Google from putting your website in the index. Try to press CTRL+F in your keyboard (windows) then try to find something in the text. If you are able to find it then Google will also find it.

It depends on the search engine in some cases. This following line of meta data in your HTML section to ALL of your HTML pages and should work in all/most cases:

And this will make sure that search engines do not follow any links and do not index pages thereafter the page they land on. At first, I would make sure this is present on all pages you do not want listed.

      ALTERNATE WAY:

I’m going to use Google.com as an example for this robots.txt approach.

This is file is found or placed in your domain’s top-level directory (i.e. yourdomain.com/)

in a file called robots.txt. Add these two lines to this file:

      User-agent: Googlebot

      Disallow: /

This will make Google’s search engine bot never crawl your site as long as these two lines are present.

      —————–

You can also simply edit the .htaccess file on your domain to password protect your entire site. Search engines then would not crawl your site either.

So here were three methods to stop search engine inclusion.

      I hope these helped!

How Can I Index My Web (http://www.carpoolindia.net ) In Yahoo/google Search Engine? http://www.carpoolindia.net not find in your search, pls help..

First, make sure that you submit your website to the search engines. It takes anywhere from 2 weeks to even 6 months for websites to show up in the search engines. In some cases, a website will show up after 2 weeks of being online, only to disappear for maybe 3-6 months (which is called Google sandbox, though Yahoo to a certain extent also does)

Ranking high in the search engines, however, is a tougher ballgame. Search engines look at the following factors in ranking websites, though in varying degrees of importance:

      – Age = an older site stand a higher chance of getting better rankings than newer sites because they are more established (especially if considered an authority in the field) and a lot more incoming links

      – Quality and Uniqueness of the Content = sites rank well if they have content that users consider relevant and original, not rehashed or using content used by hundred other websites (e.g. articles in article submission directories)

      – Keyword density = number of times the keyword appears on the site. This also includes having the keywords in important places such as the title, metatags, even H1s and H2s

      – How it fares in the results = when it comes up in the search engines, are people clicking on it or not. If not, search engines consider the site to be not relevant to the keyword. Also, how long does the user stay on the site; if they hit the back button immediately, then the site may not be relevant to the search term

      – Site structure = on-page factors to sitemaps

      – Backlinks = who are linking to the site and what are their quality (the more authoritative the site linking to your site, the better).

If you are going to read only one piece on search engine optimization, I suggest you read Brett Tabke of WebmasterWorld.com’s “Successful Site in 12 Months with Google Alone: 26 steps to 15k a day.” http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum3/2010.htm

WebmasterWorld.com http://www.webmasterworld.com has different sections that cover various aspects of search engine optimization, and each section is participated in by respected webmasters and even search engine employees (e.g. there’s a GoogleGuy that responds to Google topics)

Google si still the best, if you want to search in Italian website, just choose the appropriate option (click on the option on the right); forn instance you can choose both if you’re searching for results in Italian language or from Italian sites (there is a specifci choice for this).

Anyway, remember no more than 20/25% of all websites are indexed on even the best website.
The top by this point of view was used to be Northernlight.

What Is Search Engine Optimisation? What is search engine optimisation?

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via “natural” (“organic” or “algorithmic”) search results. Usually, the earlier a site is presented in the search results, or the higher it “ranks”, the more searchers will visit that site. SEO can also target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, and industry-specific vertical search engines.

As a marketing strategy for increasing a site’s relevance, SEO considers how search algorithms work and what people search for. SEO efforts may involve a site’s coding, presentation, and structure, as well as fixing problems that could prevent search engine indexing programs from fully spidering a site. Other, more noticeable efforts may include adding unique content to a site, ensuring that content is easily indexed by search engine robots, and making the site more appealing to users. Another class of techniques, known as “Black Hat” SEO or spamdexing, use methods such as link farms and keyword stuffing that tend to harm search engine user experience. Search engines look for sites that employ these techniques and may remove their listings.

How Do Search Engines Index Forums Since There Are Multiple Urls For Posts? There are many different urls for posts on a forum. For instance, you can specify the post id in the url, or the forum and topic id, or add a variable to jump to a specific comment, etc… A search engine sees variables in the url as making the url a different url, so how do search engines index forums since there are multiple urls for posts?

You wonder how Search Engines index dynamically generated URLs? Well first off, search engines will generally see each URL as its own page. For each variation of the page’s URL, the Search Engine indexes it as a separate page. For example:
      http://example.com/forum.php?topic=42
      http://example.com/forum.php?topic=42&jumpto_post=5

topic=42 is the ID of the forum-topic
jumpto_post=5 tells the script which post to jump to (in this case, the 5th post in the topic)

To you, its exactly the same page; but to the Search Engine, it’s a completely different page. This is one reason why Search Engine discourage these kinds of URLs and instead encourage “clean” URLS.

How To Not Index A Specific Link On A Web Page In Search Engines? Search engines design

You can prevent search engines from crawling parts of your site through the use of a text file called “robots.txt”. This file tells search engines which parts of your site are off limits and what they can and cannot index. I have created a link below for you to read up on this text file and how it works.

Alternatively, you could use a meta tag known as “robots” which can also tell search engines not to crawl and cache it. I have provided a link to that as well.

Once you read the article it should help you out tremendously.

      Enjoy!

Yeah i got a couple links where you can download some:
      http://www.searchtools.com/
Here’s one where you can create your own:
      http://www.xtreeme.com/search-engine-studio/tutorials/intranet-search/
and here’s an article with information about it:
      http://www.intranetstoday.com/Articles/Default2.aspx?ArticleID=5064&AuthorID=98

as for the a program that uses all search engines and combines it into one lol no I haven’t seen them.
They don’t even have that for yahoo google really… except some wierd ttoolbars that kinda do it.

If you create a intranet search engine you should be able to catagorize all your information and be able to create one for yourself without having to download several and trying to combine them (which is pretty tough lol)

In order to get your site listed in Search engines fast and have it rank well you must do SEO – Search Engine Optimization.

This is something that takes time to learn, but do not worry, there are “easier” ways as search engines love good quality content, your website will not get indexed so fast but when it will get indexed and if you will post a lot of unique quality content people will bookmark your website and start linking to it from their websites and in a matter of months you will see your website rank on google and get traffic.

To track the traffic, install google analytics code in your site, find it at google.com/analytics you can find tutorials on how to install it, very simple copy-paste process.

The easiest way to go is to create a free blog at blogspot.com, it’s a free solution.

Post a lot of unique (not copy paste) content on your website, the more articles you will have the better, if you have videos related to your website or you can create ones, upload them to youtube, and paste the URL of your website in the description of the video, this will give you a backlinks, the more backlinks your website has from related websites the better it will rank on SE (search engines).

Go to twitter.com and create an account there then search for people that will be interested on what your site is about and “follow” them, I know you have no idea what I am talking about right now, but you just need to google for “twitter tutorial” and believe me, it will open your eyes in 30 minutes.

Also create facebook and myspace account and link to your website, get social, meet new people and they will see alink to your website and visit it, NEVER SPAM!!!

I am not going to go in depth into SEO here, I gave you the basics, now you need to start working and search for information. It is up to you now, and it is not a rocket science, you have tons of tutorials online, free tutorials.

      GOOD LUCK ?

How Can I Create My Own Search Engine? Search engine

    View Comment
    1. Reply

Designing a search engine from scratch is very complex and would take a lot of work and money. You’d basically need three elements:

      1. A website to show the search box and results
      2. A crawler to visit websites and index them
      3. An indexing system and search algorithm to rank websites

I think the best thing you could do is use Google Custom Search. This is a service provided by Google that lets you tinker with search results and customize them to your preferences. Then it’s simply a matter of copying and pasting the code into your website.

      Hope this helps,

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine’s “natural,” or un-paid, search results. In general, the earlier (or higher ranked on the search results page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine’s users. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search, academic searchnews search and industry-specific vertical search engines.

As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work, what people search for, the actual search terms or keywords typed into search engines and which search engines are preferred by their targeted audience. Optimizing a website may involve editing its content and HTML and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines. Promoting a site to increase the number of backlinks, or inbound links, is another SEO tactic.
