Keyword Density and SEO

Keyword Density and SEO

Do you feel that your lack of information about SEO is preventing you from making a key decision? So many people run into this: you have a key decision to make but don’t have enough information to make it. I recently came across the article below and it discusses SEO in more detail.

What To Do When You’re Trying To Use SEO On A Website

Engine Optimization Campaign

Getting to know how to use SEO for a website can really increase that site’s traffic. It’s something you should look into if you have a website and would like to share it with as many people as possible. Here are some tips to help you figure out how to begin.

Google

A keyword or key phrase is basically what you think someone would type into a search engine to find a page like yours. This is why you’re going to want to figure out what you think people would search for so that you can put those keywords into your content. Try to think like you’re someone who’s interested in sites like yours and think what you would type in if you were that person. The keywords shouldn’t be too obscure or too popular either.

Html Pages

When you pick out a keyword you don’t want to use one that’s going to have quite a bit of competition. You don’t want your site to be buried among a bunch of people that have been using your keywords for quite some time now. You want to be able to stand out from the crowd, but you also shouldn’t think about keywords that nobody will ever type in. Go to the page of your competition and see what kinds of keywords they’re using. The key is not to copy them, but to find something that they may be missing on their page so you can use it to get more traffic.

Html Tags

You don’t want to just use your keywords in places like the text of your site. You can also use keywords in your site’s URLs, in page titles, and even in your image description tags. Anywhere that you can put your keyword is recommended. However, make sure that you don’t go over the keyword density that the search engine has set up. There are tools that search engine crawling software uses to make sure that you’re not trying to stuff keywords in that make no sense just to get traffic. Every year search engines become more advanced, so read up on what they will restrict so you don’t waste any time trying to figure out the right density yourself.

Keyword Density

When you write any kind of an article or a blog post you should fit your keyword in where it feels natural. A lot of the time you’ll have keywords that are hard to fit into any SEOcontent, but just try your best to have the content make sense. You don’t want to just put up random content that nobody could understand if they tried reading it. If you’re not good with coming up with content, you could always look to a site where freelancers are and hire someone to do it for you.

More Visibility

Using your keywords effectively will help you to have a more popular website. The tips above should be what you need to get started. Work hard at this and watch the traffic start to flow in!

What Is The Optimal Keyword Density Range?? ? I have no idea about the keyword density range, but if it is too much it will be considered as keyword spam.

    • Keyword density is not a defined standardized value that can ensure a website's high page rank. Different search engines account for different range of values of keyword density. Optimal keyword density of a website for Google is usually 2%. Yahoo and MSN however allow higher keyword densities of around 5% each. Any higher percentage of keywords, for any of these sites, is usually considered spamming and is hence not an appreciated effort. Effective use of keywords in content makes keyword density work for a website's search engine optimization.

What Makes A PR3 Web Site Come On Top For Competitive Keywords? My web site has a PR of 5, still I’m not being able to get top postions.. I think I have pretty revelant links, but others with lesser PR, lesser no of links are surpassing me. What could be the reason? Internal optimisation? like keyword density, meta tags, internal linking etc? or even more relevant links?

    • First of all, throw pagerank out the window, pagerank is irrelevant.

It could be a handful of things, but definitely not meta tags.

I’ll give you 5 guesses at why you’re being outranked…

      1. Domain age. Your competitors domain is older and more trusted.

      2. Anchor text. Your competitor’s links have better anchor text.

      3. Authority of domains linking to your competitor. Like you said. Do a Yahoo Directory/DMoz cross check.

      4. # of unique and quality pages in google’s index. I’ve found that trusted/aged websites with lots of pages in the index are very hard to pass in the search results.

      5. Keywords in domain and onsite optimization. Are you using the best onsite optimization techniques like css image replacement? Do you have unique title tags for every page?
Here’s a great new video from Aaron Wall on Onsite spamming..err..Optimization…

5b. Domain age again. Is your domain still new? It may take 6 months or more, but once your domain gains trust with google you may see your website leapfrog all your competitors overnight.

While you wait for trustrank to kick in. Use tools like

      Link Hub

      SEO for Firefox

to go out and get all the same links your competitors have. Usually if they got em, you can get em.

      Good luck!

How To Choose Search Engine Professional Optimization Firm? Need to hire a search engine professional optimization firm can anyone recommend tips to avoid getting burnt?

    • Ask any candidate SEO firm a simple question:

Show me one of your client’s site which can be found using “generic” keywords [not a domain name] as a search query on google.com or yahoo.com search engines and limit the generic keyword query to no more than 4 words. The search result must show that the website is PageRanked within the top 15 search results.

If your candidate SEO firm says that cannot be done. Then perhaps consider spending $20 on Peter Kent’s “Search Engine Optimization for Dummies.. which provides sufficient expert strategies to elevate your website to a greater audience on major search engines.

      Good luck!

What Are The Top Search Engines To Give You Viruses? What are some of the top search engines that are most likely to give you a virus?
What are some of the safest search engines?

    • It’s not the Search Engine, more than it is the site that you pick.

Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc. do not have control on which sites are viral and safe, in all reality, it’s the money the company pays to get their site at the top of the list.

If the site is infected, or is in means of giving you a virus, the site is probably not on the 1st or 2nd page, technically.

When you search something, the company pays millions to get their site on the first and second page of the search results, and if the site is only there to infect your computer, they will not spend that much money to get it up there. Since they aren’t making money, and if they do, it’s not enough to put it in the top results…

I hope this helps! Just be cautious.

Is There An SEO Software Program That Creates Optimized Web Pages For The Search Engines? Focuses on keyword density and optimization ?

    • The amount of competition on the Internet today is only surpassed by what it will be tomorrow. If you think it’s tough to get traffic now, then prepare to be shocked in the coming weeks and months as it gets harder and harder.

Mainstream businesses are moving online in a big way and bringing along their massive marketing budgets to drive traffic into their sites. The smaller operator has to get smart fast to compete!

You need to be in search engines to succeed: That’s hardly a surprise is it? But do you really know how important it is? The fact is, most Internet sites report that 86% of their traffic comes from the major search engines. And everyone agrees that if you’re not listed in the first page of results, you might as well not be there at all! You can be sure that if you’re not, your competition will be, meaning they’re taking business away from you every time someone does a web search.

Your Current Front Page Will Not Rank Well: And ironically enough, that’s likely because you’ve spent time and money optimizing it so it will be as interesting, relevant and interactive as you can possibly make it! Your hard work is actually working against you!

You see, when a search engine sends it’s spider to index your page, it sees something very different than what a web surfer sees. And the problem is that a page that will interest a surfer will be very uninteresting to a spider, meaning your fantastic web site will be passed over in favor of less feature-rich sites!
