In the earlier days of the Internet, if you saw a website that really excited you, how would you go about telling your online friends about it? If you couldn’t talk to them over the telephone, you would have to email them or send them a link via a chat room.
Well, now there is a new alternative… social bookmarking. Social bookmarking is a concept where users ‘tag’ sites of interest. After that happens, these tags show up in two places: the user’s profile, (which looks like a mini-site to other users), and the homepage of the bookmarking network. The latter will display the tag temporarily, before it gets displaced by newer ones.
Anyway, once a tag is entered into the bookmarking network, other users are free to rate it. URLs with higher ratings gain more prominence in a social network. In turn, those with lesser ratings tend to lose presence. And, if a tag is considered to be spam, it will be forever banned from the network.
So, what potential does social bookmarking have for Internet users? Well, most of these networks have an interactive “Web 2.0” quality. Sure, you’re tagging websites, but you’re also interacting with a community.
In fact, thanks to the way in which bookmarking works, many people could avoid wasting money on ineffective products or even worse, online job scams. If they are unsure about the legitimacy of a site, they can see if it has been tagged before within a social network. If it has, chances are you can get an idea of what others think about it before risking your own money.
Social bookmarking can also be useful for Internet marketers. After they have uploaded their site onto the Web, they can let people know about it by creating their own bookmark. If the website is worthwhile, other users will give it a good rating. This gives you some pagerank, even if it is on a smaller scale. Plus, it’s an excellent source for free traffic.
In conclusion, social bookmarking is an interesting concept for people who want to combine their love of surfing with online communication. Through these networks, you can learn about new sites or tag your own sites while getting a chance to meet new people. Indeed, it’s a simple concept, yet it offers extraordinary value both in terms of practicality and entertainment.

We’ve all heard the saying, “It’s just a phase.” Though these words may render images of teenage girls with purple hair or middle aged men who insist on getting an earring, phases are certainly not limited to people. From music to movies, from the economy to business trends, everything comes in phases. This is particularly true in regards to the Internet.
It’s easy to see that the Internet of ten years ago is drastically different than the one today, but you don’t have to look a decade back to see the change. The Internet from a year ago, a week ago, even a day ago are all different. The Internet is perhaps the most fickle place on Earth.
For the Internet user, adapting comes naturally. Wanting in on what’s popular, we easily acclimate to the changes. We are addicted to MySpace one minute, Facebook is our favorite site the next. For the Internet marketer, however, these changes aren’t quite as easy.
Many businesses, particularly home based business opportunities, use the Internet as a customer-getting vehicle. We advertise on it, we communicate on it, we use it to educate consumers about our product or service. But, with the Internet constantly changing, we find it hard to keep up. Many marketers may be happily making a great living selling a particular product or service when suddenly the bottom falls out and business comes to a screeching halt. At this point the marketer is left scrambling to join a new program or create a new website for a different niche, hoping to make enough money quickly enough to pay their bills.
This is where Intelligent Phase Marketing comes in. An idea established by ILM, Internet Leveraging and Marketing, LLC, Intelligent Phase Marketing does what it insinuates: it’s a marketing system that accounts for and adjusts to the rapidly changing Internet world.
ILM is dedicated to monitoring all the latest trends and developing products or services to tap into the most lucrative markets. By offering members every top online income opportunity in one place for one low price, you are able to free yourself from joining a new program and re-branding yourself each time a new hot trend comes along. Instead, you simply market the current product or service and keep that advertising online forever, even as you shift your focus to a new niche. Through all of your marketing ventures you will bring people back to a central location, your ILM website. All of your campaigns are easily managed from one console in your ILM back office.
This type of marketing works with the concept of phases: Internet trends come and go in phases and you must market to the phases in order to succeed. You don’t want to be marketing in 2008 with an Internet phase that climaxed in 2006. You must stay up on the times if you want to stay, or get, to the top. No other program offers a business model that continuously adapts to emerging market trends. Although obvious, this system is completely revolutionary to home business and is the business model that all other programs will be scrambling to duplicate.
If you current program isn’t designed to adapt to a swiftly changing market, you can expect to be starting over from scratch yet again within a year.

Whether you’ve lost your job or lost your shirt through the stock market, the present economy has made for trying times. No one knows this better than business owners.
With so many people just trying to get by, expenses are cut. Magazine subscriptions aren’t renewed, DSL services are downgraded, spas and pedicures are thrown out the window, and time is spent looking for employment instead of things to buy. This causes businesses, whether corporate or home based, to all suffer.
Yet, this doesn’t mean it’s time to just throw in the towel. Instead, it means that businesses need to become more aggressive than ever in seeking customers. More aggressive, and more creative.
The following marketing ideas are a good start:
Add Video to Your Website: People are no longer interested in websites merely filled with text after text. People want interaction and entertainment. Adding things like video or podcasts to your site can drastically increase your traffic. Remember, if your website isn’t generating traffic, it’s not generating sales and you’re not generating income.
Electronic Newsletters: Whether you send it out weekly, biweekly, or even once a month, an electronic newsletter is a great way to maintain relationships with present customers and establish new ones. It’s also a great way to inform customers of any changes you are making or any deals offered.
Educational Materials: Internet Spam, like the food itself, deserves to be canned. Articles, features, and newsletters that merely talk about how great your company is or how essential the product offered don’t have mass appeal. Instead, try getting a little creative with your content. If you sell wine, for instance, try finding content that speaks of the health benefits of wine, instead of one that just talks about your vineyards.
Break the Language Barrier: Your failure to be bilingual is probably no big deal, a company’s failure to be bilingual, however, can lead to drastic financial loss. Even if you’re not bilingual, your business can be. Breaking the language barrier allows you to reach out to new customers, and increase your chance of touching the masses. It adds universality to your product or service.
Intelligent Phase Marketing: Intelligent Phase Marketing, a new concept introduced by ILM, Internet Leveraging & Marketing LLC, not only incorporates training and bilingual support, but it also includes the most important aspect of all; the ability to adapt. ILM is dedicated to monitoring all the latest trends and developing products or services to tap into the most lucrative markets. By offering members every top online income opportunity in one place for one low price, you are able to free yourself from joining a new program and re-branding yourself each time a new hot trend comes along. Through all of your marketing ventures you will bring people back to a central location, your ILM website. All of your campaigns are easily managed from one console in your ILM back office.

Every successful private investigator has a tool box. On TV you’ll see a PI using a gun, lock picking tools and disguises. In real life it’s a bit less glamorous but also a whole lot more legal.
In real life an investigator will handle a telephone handset a million times more than he will ever handle a firearm. So in this series of articles we will examine the tools every PI must have in order to conduct successful telephone investigations. Reverse phone number databases, telephone trap lines and blind lines or caller ID spoof cards are all tools every investigator should have.
Reverse Phone Number Databases:
Before you can use the phone you need a phone number. Or you may already have a number but need to know the customer name and address of that number. This is where the telephone number data base comes into effect.
Every investigator should have access to databases that will return a customer name and address (CNA) from a non published or unlisted phone number. These database services will also have information on telephone numbers. They may be able to provide you with an unlisted phone number from a just a name or just an address. They also may be able to supply you with a cellular or wireless number from just a name or address.
Today on the Internet there are literally thousands of companies that offer this service. Some of these companies will only provide the information to lawyers, licensed private investigators , collection agencies or other licensed businesses with a legitimate need for this information. Other companies do not, all they require is a valid credit card. You submit your order and the information is returned via email a few minutes later.
Not all of these services are the same and not all have access to the same information. Some will have up to date information and some will have old outdated data. So do your research and homework first and try to establish a long term working relationship with your information broker.
There are also other ways to obtain reverse phone number information. You can call the number and using a pretext, perhaps in conjunction with a caller ID spoof card, and trick the person that answers into revealing their information. Likewise you might email the target or snail mail the physical address with a pretext and include a trap line number. When the subject calls the trap number their information will be revealed through automatic number identification even if they have caller ID blocked.
Obviously you can use your imagination and apply a reverse phone number search to many routine investigations such as skip tracing, current employment locates and infidelity investigations.
Our next article in this series will examine caller ID spoof cards and their use in routine investigations.
Before hiring a private investigation service be sure to perform your due diligence. Make sure the PI is considered an expert in telephone investigations. Check to see if they offer a variety of telephone investigative services such as reverse phone searches, trap lines, caller Id and even cell phone forensics.
You want to put your investigation into the hands of an expert in every area of telephone investigations.
Be careful of instant online searches that promise the world for a one time low fee. This is impossible. If it seems too good to be true it’s never going to be real. Its going to be a scam.

If your web site is not bringing in the business you hoped for, maybe it’s time to get some help. Good SEO Consultants can help drive significantly greater traffic to your site. That traffic will also be more likely to buy your product, because the SEO Experts know how to attract targeted traffic of people who are looking for your product.
Range of SEO Consultant Services
In your search for quality support in optimizing your web site, you’ll find a wide range of approaches. Some SEO Experts will re-write your content. Others will review your content and offer suggestions on how to improve it. Still others will offer you miracles – miracles that are not likely to come true.
Steer clear of those who ask a monthly fee to submit and re-submit your web site to the search engines. The search engines will find you, and if your site is optimized by qualified SEO Consultants, resubmitting will not be necessary.
If you have a large company or many different products, you can expect to pay more for SEO Experts help. That’s because you’ll want to be sure every product page is optimized. In that case, using an SEO Consultant is well worth a special budget for internet marketing. If your company is small or you offer just a few products, you won’t have to pay as much for a much better optimized web site.
What will a Good SEO Expert Do?
To be sure you’re getting a reputable service, you’ll need to look for a few basic approaches. First, professional SEO Consultants will want to learn about your business goals and existing marketing programs. They’ll ask about your company and your products, too, so that their recommendations support your overall objectives.
The best SEO Consultants will propose a term of service that is reasonable for your needs. Especially if your business is small, beware of companies that offer a long-term contract. Search engine optimization is hard work, but it’s not rocket science. Changes made to improve your ranking on search engines should not have to be re-done time and time again.
Any agreement with SEO Experts should include feedback. They should monitor your traffic before and after changes have been made so that you can see the impact of their work. They should provide reports on web site traffic that show you how often people visit your web site, what pages they go to and how long they spend there, and where your visitors are coming from. Further, they should offer recommendations on ways to tweak the site to further improve your traffic and results.
Look for the Hard Proof
The best way to know if your SEO Consultants’ services are paying off for you is in your sales. If you don’t see a noticeable increase in web site traffic and product sales within about six months of site improvements, you may need to look for another service. But don’t despair, there are many qualified SEO Experts out there, and you will find the help you need.
