Search Engine Optimization

Web design is one of those things that is necessary if you want your website to be a success. Anyone can put up a website, but it takes a certain finesse to have one that is a success. If you are new to the world of web design, the process can be rather confusing. The following article will help clear things up for you.

Color Palette

SEO (search engine optimization) is absolutely necessary. This is when a web designer creates a site in a way that will appeal to search engine spiders. This is a very tricky area, because you have to appeal to the average customer at the exact same time. Good SEO techniques can bring your website to the top of search engine results. This is where you need to be if you hope to have any success.

Contrasting Colors

Choosing the right layout and font is drastically important. Visual appeal is something that can makWeb Designe or break your company. Having a site with great content means nothing if people cannot stand to look at it. Your job is to create something with a balance. The font you choose should have an appealing color and be easy to read. The layout should be simple and easy for people to navigate.

Cream Of The Crop

Being professional is the key. You are running a business, so it is important for you to convey that in your web design. You don’t want to be haphazard and sloppy. This will give people the idea that this is how you run your business. Everyone makes mistakes sometimes, but you want to make sure that this is one area where you are flawless. Unfortunately, it is very difficult for a company to bounce back once people are not interested in them anymore.

Dime A Dozen

You should always include eye-catching elements, but don’t go overboard. There are many website owners that believe the way to attract customers is to place countless flashy animations on the site. While this may be appealing to a small child, it is not on the top of anyone’s list when it comes to great websites. Larger font and bold script are much better for getting people’s attention.

Enough Money

If building your website is too much for you, hire someone else to do it. Many people balk at hiring someone to create a website for them, but sometimes it is necessary. While you may want to exert independence and show people who you are, it is unwise to continue on your own if you are headed straight into a brick wall. One of the keys to being a successful business owner is recognizing when you need help and going out there to get it.

Expectation

When you are in the process of designing a website, there are lots of things you need to consider. Hopefully, the article above has shed a lot of light on the subject. Web design is a tricky area, but doing the right research and paying close attention to any information given to you can lead you straight to a great website.

What Search Engine Optimization Strategy Would Work Best For My Blog About Jokes And Funny Videos? I read several web articles on online video marketing. Is it recommended that I avail of Search Engine Optimization services? Because I really want my site to reach a wider audience. I’ve got funny, unique videos uploaded everyday. Which Internet marketing services would best work for my SEO needs?

    • You can take the following approach.
      1. Make sure your site is well optimized including title, meta tags, the content and the internal linking between your content is relevant e.g. a page having a joke about animals can also have a section called related jokes and related videos which are linked to with good anchor text containing your target keywords..
      2. As jokes and funny videos tend to be shared across various mediums, you can build a good link aquisition strategy by providing updates through email, bookmarking, sharing across social media and promoting through directories, joke sites, feeds, etc. Try and get relevant links to target pages with your target anchor text
      3. You can build a network with other jokers :-) so you get traffic from them and share their jokes as well, some kind of a platform for collaboration.

What Makes The Search Results Changes In Internet Every Time? When anyone searches the internet by a search engine the results are not the same if searched after a month. what make articles appear and diappear from the search engine?

    • Well, I know Google had these “spiders” that will look through every webpage and it actually will display the most recently updated websites at the top of the list… so the search will most likely never be the same.

Is Anyone Else Having Problems With Search Engines Giving Crap Results? It seems that every search I have done in the last 24 hours yields me junk results that have nothing to do with what I typed in. i.e. I typed in Oriental Shorthair Rescue & got back find. com, some porn sites, ebay, monster, etc. I even typed in craiglist and got back something the same. Instead of being craigslist, I got some stupid replica website.

This was on more than one search engine also. I have tried google, msn, and yahoo.
Also, I do use qoutation marks when I am searching as it narrows out junk most of the time. So, the addition signs and qoutation marks aren’t helping any.
Got it straightened out. It was a virus/spyware that added something onto my ‘net. So, the first answer was correct.

    • Learn to search better…

      Try your search in quotes…
      “Oriental Shorthair Rescue”

      Or you can try…
      +Oriental +Shorthair +Rescue
… to ensure each word must be found in your search.

Also, turn on SafeSearch for the site you are using, to avoid getting porn sites in the results.

It’s not the sites… it is the way you are searching.

Order Of Internet Search Engine Results? On friday I typed a word into Google and found a web site – it was the 6th link that was showed. Today when I typed in the same word into Google, the same website ranked 3rd in the results. Does this happen often, and if so, why?
    Thanks

    • Google (and other search engines) are constantly scanning the Web to check what links to what, so they can determine how to rank their results.

The essential magic of Google (from the very start) is the notion that “good pages link to good pages”, so if you have a webpage, and you link to someone else about “turbocharged engines”, then Google’s search engine thinks you trust that site, so it will rank that site higher.

This strategy encouraged unscrupulous individuals to try to “game” the system by creating fake sites that all point to one master site, which then floats up to the top of the SERPs (search engine result pages). It’s a dirty trick, but so common that even Google hasn’t figure out how to filter out all the spam.

Since new sites are constantly coming and going, Google’s “robot” (the ‘Googlebot’) crawls around the Web, noticing changes, and updating it’s internal list of rankings. What you see when you search is a list of rankings that correspond to your keywords, which are affected by these sites creating or destroying links.

Search Engines? How do yahoo and google searches compare with other lesser known search engines?

    1. What kind of pages would they not return results for?

    2. if i wanted to search for pages from certain European sites for example, what engine should i use?
I need info from certain italian websites

    • Google si still the best, if you want to search in Italian website, just choose the appropriate option (click on the option on the right); forn instance you can choose both if you’re searching for results in Italian language or from Italian sites (there is a specifci choice for this).

Anyway, remember no more than 20/25% of all websites are indexed on even the best website.
The top by this point of view was used to be Northernlight.

Why Are Some Search Engines Better Than Others? I used dogpile.com search engine and it was awful. It brought up nothing I was looking for, it didnt even come close. Yahoo didn’t bring up what I needed but it was closer. So why are some search engines better than others?

    • Different searching algorithms. They are closely guarded secrets. Dogpile is a meta-search engine, no real searching on its own. It is better to use several search engines to maximize the number of results. There are a lot of them out there.

What Is Search Engine Optimization? Hi

What is seo. how built my website seo in google yahoo search engine. my keywords is vasth

    • Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine’s “natural,” or un-paid, search results. In general, the earlier (or higher ranked on the search results page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine’s users. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search, academic searchnews search and industry-specific vertical search engines.

As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work, what people search for, the actual search terms or keywords typed into search engines and which search engines are preferred by their targeted audience. Optimizing a website may involve editing its content and HTML and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines. Promoting a site to increase the number of backlinks, or inbound links, is another SEO tactic.

How Do Search Engines Work? Is the search engine looking for key words that we can actually read on the website/blog, or is it looking for the source code?
Why do some websites “come to the top” when you search? I know someone who claims he pays $500/day to Google to sell his perfume/cologne.

Maybe the best information isn’t really available because of this, and the true purpose of the internet compromised by big business.
    What does “SEO” stand for?

    • Search engines look at over 200 factors while determining who is listed higher within a search results page. The 2 most important factors tend to be keyword usage (not density as to prevent keyword stuffing) and inbound links. Engines are looking at the content of the page but through the source code of the site. This is why it is important to make sure that website refrain from placing content inside images, JavaScript, and flash (in most cases) since most search engines cannot read these type of files.

When someone says the “pay” Google they usually mean that they are paying Google to place ads on the site, which are placed at the top and right side of the page. These ads are clearly marked “sponsored links”.

To understand more about the difference, check out this website:
      http://www.richardhighsmith.com/2007/04/natural-search-results-versus-paid.html

Google doesn’t take payment for local listings. While people try to “pay” for placement within Google, these people are actually paying someone else to run their SEO program. While their are a tone of ligament SEO constants (like myself), there are about five times as many scams.

The first sign of a scam are when people state that they have a “special relationship” with Google or pays Google for top placement in the natural listings. While these services can sometimes give you some short term success, Google will constantly make it harder and more expensive for you to maintain top positions by penalizing your website.

The information that the most reputable search engines show tend to be ligament and in the spirit of the Search. Like everything, people will always find a way to game the system, but Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, and Ask.com work tirelessly to make it harder and harder, thus more and more expensive.

HTML Or PHP, Which Page Better To Get Good Results In Search Engines At Short Time Period? Hello friend,

HTML or PHP, which page better to get good results in Search Engines with in short time period. Plz send me your suggetions

    Waiting for your suggestions……….

    Regards,
    Gangadhar Yadav

    • As far as search engines are concerned, PHP and HTML pages are identical. By the time the page gets to the client, (whether it be a user or a search spider) PHP pages have been translated into HTML / XHTML. Clients never see actual PHP.

In the past, dynamic pages (PHP, ASP, and the like) were given less weight on search engines than static pages, because the content wasn’t guaranteed to be the same on each pass to the site. However, almost all major web sites now use some form of dynamic content or content management system, so now there is little bias against dynamic content.

In fact, the most important aspect is the amount of interest in your site. You get interest by having lots of people link to your page. This will happen when you have compelling content. The content needs to have value, and it needs to change frequently so people will go back (and make a link from their site) This is easier to do with a content management system (frequently powered by PHP and a database like MySQL) than it is in straight HTML.
